I approach this post with a vast degree of ignorance so I must ask is this creation from the Star Wars universe, or a universe of your own? The reason I ask is because this nameless vessel looks very "Star Wars" to me, with my limited knowledge of Space MOCs. I never would pick it as a Space MOC unless I was told.

Might the hull pieces be too big to classify this ship as a "sloop" though? Do you have any smaller hull pieces or is this all you've got?

Captain Roger, could you explain how Mr Attack could be doing better? How could he improve on the design with his limited number of pieces? What should he be using a sail instead of a napkin?

Mr Tordenskjold, when you finalise the design of your Semaphore Station in MLCAD, are you going to buy the bricks and built if for real? Or will it only ever be an MLCAD creation?

Mr Phred has a good point Mr Syedow, this thread needs to take a different angle. If this was a hypothetical or speculative discussion of what The LEGO Group may do with a SYEM Pirate theme if left to their own accord, then perhaps this thread might work. But the We Want Pirates thread is the "Dear LEGO" thread, so users should be posting their wants and dislikes there. It doesn't really make sense to have a second thread when there is already a thread on the topic being monitored by the LEGO Ambassadors.

Unfortunately no, since unviersity has resumed and I'm foreesing a new place built for me I haven't had time to focus on MOCs. I always intended to get the pieces and build the final version of the Sentry Box, which I imagined would look like this: However, Mr ZCerberus designed that particular version which I was going to do myself but he beat me to it.

I don't recall Jack Sparrow with yellow epaulettes though...

I always thought the tubing was suppose to represent wood, except back in 1992 when Renegade's raft was released there were no brown 1 x 1 cylinders so yellow was used as a substitute.

So rather than moaning you're the only one here without any money perhaps you should be looking into your employment options. I remember when I was your age I used to water gardens of little old ladies every afternoon after school to get a few measily dollars to buy sets like Broadside's Brig and Shipwreck Island. Small sets I know, but that's all I could afford, yet still it was better than nothing at all.
