  1. Yes, electric guitars work very well with the Pirate theme T'would be interesting to see an Imperial marching band.
  2. T'was I who merged this thread with Tchuk-norst's thread. Seemed little point having a small duplicate thread.
  3. You seem to have forgot to tell him to visit Classic-Pirates.com regularly.
  4. Yeah, apparently its not a good idea to eat radio active materials

  5. Why thank you sir - it took me a whole 5 second to come up with

  6. 2 points goes to 220 Anastasia Astoria International Hotel by Igorlando. Incredible! This creation looks like it could give Cafe Corner and the other Modular Town buildings a run for their money. The level of detail is astounding, right down to the brickwork. 1 point goes to 209 Blacktron 3 Accipiter Attack Fighter by slacker int. I'm by no means a Space expert but I like the idea of taking old themes and building new creations in their aesthetic. I think this Blacktron Attack Fighter does this extremely well!
  7. Here I am scraping in at the last few hours, rather tired so I probably won't write as much I'd like 2 Points goes to 146 Arena by Bojan Pavsic Simple design yet very effective. This entry looks like it could be an officially released set - although that many minifigures probably isn't realistic for an official set. 1 Point goes to 110 Pirate Island Port by mrblue What kind of Governor would I be if I didn't vote for one of the Pirate creations? More seriously this entry is a reflection of how far LDD has advanced since its introduction. In the early days it was quite difficult to create a decent Pirate MOC due to a severe limitation of suitable pieces. But now with pieces like palm leaves, treasure chests and doors which go a long way in making LDD a useful tool for Pirate LEGO enthusiasts.
  8. Even the re-released 6291 Armada Flagship in MISB condition isn't usually worth much more than $99. Or it wasn't last I checked.
  9. Looks like you're off to a good start! I have two comments that are not so much to do with the building of this MOC: If possible, photograph your MOC against a neutral backdrop because objects in the background distract from the MOC. If you don't have a spare wall to photograph your MOCs against you can create a neutral backdrop using a sheet or large piece of cardboard. Please post all pirate creation in our Pirate MOC Forum This thread shall be moved to the Pirate MOC Forum in the very near future.
  10. What a lovely lovely profile =D

  11. We aint in no drought a Classic-Pirates.com - where in the blogging schedule are we going to fit this marvellous creations in amongst the Tournament of Retribution entries?
  12. This is a very good and insightful pictorial review of Visutla Mouth Fortress. Thank you for taking the time to share your photos Dreamweb. Just wondering about the soldiers - the one on our left looks Dutch while the one on the right looks French. Is that assumption remotely accurate?
  13. Discrepencies with your computer should have no affect over Eurobricks account. The Eurobricks Staff prefer users not to create multiple accounts so please contact one of the Root Administrators and they'll assist you. Since Bonaparte is absent, Siegfried would be best choice because he frequents the Pirate forum more than the remaining Room Admins.
  14. I've started by contacting his company, so we'll see where that takes us.
  15. Pirate LEGO tends to get addictive - you might end up getting yet more sets sometime in the future. Which equals
  16. By Jobe we'll hunt down this Evil Stevie (aka Steve Jackson) and get permission to host the rules on Classic-Pirates.com Does anybody happen to know him? Do you know how to contact him or a representative?
  17. That sounds interesting - you gonna share some pictures when you're finished?
  18. So exactly what are you going to do with these 3 oversized pirates? Yeah, at the time it kind of felt like the LEGO Group was taunting us Pirate fanatics. More than anything we wanted new "SYSTEM" Pirate sets and then they dish out these 4+ with their somewhat horrible designs and oversized pirate figures. You could always get the minifigures and do it yourself. But it takes a lot more than replacing the minifigures to make the 4+ pirate sets decent, I've tried it. The 4+ sets may have been ok for parts to use in larger MOCs but like Mack said the sets are "dumbed down" and their designs are too basic for their own good. What do you mean by that? Are you saying the 4+ Junior Pirate sets were better than the original/classic Pirate LEGO sets?
  19. That's why I revised my statement to say "eventually" rather than "a few years"
  20. Thanks for the good luck - I'm going to need it!

  21. I made a typo! I meant to write "classic pirates" but I've become so used to writing Classic-Pirates.com I wrote that instead. So yes, I did indeed intrepret Cpt. Dan's as intended and my response is still along the lines of "eventually a Pirates of the Caribbean theme will come to an end and the LEGO Group will return to classic pirate sets"
  22. Hypothetically, by the earliest time a UCS Black Pearl could be released, the Imperial Flagship would be over 12 months old. Although it would be sensible for the LEGO Group to determine the viability of such a set after guaging the performance of regular Pirates of the Caribbean sets.
  23. Yes, it looks very well crafted but its early days yet, could turn out to be anything. Can't say I'm overly keen on a licenced based Pirate LEGO theme but I don't see how it could be the end of Classic-Pirates.com. If its profitable, the LEGO Group may continue a Pirates of the Caribbean theme for a few years but eventually it will come to an end. Good work sir!
  24. Woody, you're producing fine customs I see! Lets see if we can get some more attention to this thread by posting the YouTube video directly in a post:
  25. You're doing well then! Your Eurobricks profile says you're into Fabuland and Medieval so its great you've made the effort to branch out into pirates I bought a 6493 Flying Time Vessel over eBay just for that grey hull, but then I actually built the Flying Time Vessel and decided I liked enough to put it on display Fortunately I was able to pick up the exact same grey hull pieces on eBay very cheaply. Nobody seemed to bid on that particular auction.
