  1. This has been a very interesting story to follow, and this is quite a finale! We don't often see this much magic, so it is a nice fresh touch. It is a highly action packed set of pics, and the arena is brilliant - I like how you have included an entrance to the arena, room for the audience, and excellent (spooky) detailing of the pit itself! My only critiscism is that the build might benefit from a few more tiles, as it seems a bit studdy in places. The tower is a nice touch, as is the captured man in the cage.
  2. That's a great looking beginning for a gate - I shall be looking forward to following your progress! :) And if you really want to build castle, consider joining Guilds of Historica- I promise it wont hurt (Unless of course you join Nocturnus... :P )
  3. I wonder what deity this temple will be too - Historica sure seems to have a multitude of religions! I think the lime green is a little harsh for groundwork, but it actually does work relatively well with olive green. I will be looking forward to seeing this building when it is done!
  4. Interesting landscape method, Petric - it worked out better than I thought! Looking good. I wonder why that (cute looking) donkey is leading a herd of horses - there must be some interesting story behind it!
  5. Looking cool, Petric! A very rugged, ragtag band of archers, I'd say - don't want to be on the wrong end of their arrows! And the task are ongoing, so it's not over at all. I still need to do task 1 and 5, and is continually working on task 4
  6. Anyone true of heart can join, Glaennckor. And since you chose "THE ONE TRUE GUILD" you are obviously such one - welcome! ;)
  7. Thanks all! glad you like it - vignettes are always fun to build!
  8. The show is great, but the books are really something else! (As is often the case ) They are almost as addictive as your collab with ME and Jorrith!
  9. Both your interior and exterior work is great, Jorrith! Your North Gate perfectly complements Vladivus' (west?) gate and there are so many brilliant details. It is always nice to see Shadowmere growing! Your interior has a mass of npu (like those suitcases for drawers), but oddly enough, what impresses me the most is the one plate thick tan line running around the walls - a little detail that adds so much to the build! Further, I will add once more - this collab is brilliant and I feel like just having watched the last season of something and now just biting my nails for the next season to be released! GIEF ME MORE! The last chapter in book II is promising to be really interesting, with the base you guys are setting up!
  10. Cool build! I really like the colourscheme and the general atmosphere of the build - and that tree in the back is brilliant. I will be looking forward to following this story. The highlight, obviously, is the handsome Avalonian hero (look at those tights! ), who will undoubtedly escape in a moment and save the day!
  11. Thank you, all - I really appreciate your nice comments! I liked this build myself, so it is nice to hear you agree! Ah, yes - I see how you could get that impression! But don't worry - I am not George R. R. Martin! Thanks, Titus - and indeed - war is not just a game! Thanks, Captain - always nice to get some detailed feedback! I think the recessed, multilayered arches turned out great too, although the balcony door seems a little overdone to me. But when I realised this, it was already so deeply built in I couldn't change it! Due to it's location near the Kaliphlin border, ancient Kaliphlin influences are definitely plausible, and my idea was exactly that - that the temple is the remains of earlier settlements. Who put a quarter in you? You Kaliphlinites sure do tend to talk our ears off! "Kaliphlin is so great, yada yada yada..." Thanks, Gideon! As the Trifork is near the Kaliphlinite border, it is very likely that Kaliphlinite influences are showing in it's architecture. And I would think it likely that the architect for the Academy has in fact studied in Kaliphlinite institutes of learning. Due to it's location and it's status as trading hub, the Trifork is a melting pot for different cultures, races and nationalities, which also shows in architecture, culture and thinking. I personally think of the Trifork as something similar to the cities of northern and central Italy, both in terms of culture, architecture, and organisation. And of course, Beorthan hopes that having fought alongside the great Gideon in the civil war will help strengthen the ties to Barqa and south western Kaliphlin, to the advantage of us all! However, one scholar have recently found sources to indicate that the Avalonian University was a predecessor for Kaliphlin institutions of learning. Strangely enough, this scholar has recently been knighted and gifted a lovely mansion on a small island paradise! Thanks, Garmadon - glad you liked the flowers (considering the pain it was to place the little #%¤#"!!). It was fun to build the a "full" interior, although it is very hard to represent reasonably on photos. The garden with the porticoed archways was inspired by several convents, cathedrals and universities I have seen in Italy and Spain, and I really like the idea of a tranquil place to go studying.
  12. Nice little build - the base is brilliant and the figs are nice! I might suggest working a little more with the posing - it send a little odd to me that they are only holding on to those long stocks worth one hand :) Oh, btw, if they are practise swords, it makes perfect sense :)
  13. Looking good! Nice snotwork, cool figs and beautiful chandelier. Also, interesting windows
  14. Lovely minichallenge! I love how you have integrated it with the storyline, and will definitely try to get one or more entries in! :)
  15. Another interesting chapter to your story! I wonder what he will find in those tunnels. The colour scheme is brilliant, and I really like the vegetation. While simple, it just seems to fit perfectly to the terrain.
  16. Two freebuilds: Messages from home | Bregir | Avalonia A Heroes Return | Bregir | Avalonia
  17. That's a great looking wagon, and I will be looking forward to following the story further!
  18. After receiving orders from the High Council to stand down and adhere to the truce, Beorthan has lead his troop of veterans home to the Trifork. There, the citizens are welcoming them with a heroes' parade throughout the city. Below, we see the parade marching past the Avalonian College of Commerce, Economics, and Social Studies, a small subunit of the Avalonian University near Albion. Not all made it back safely, but none were left behind. Here, the veterans are carrying their fallen brother at the place of honour on the parade, for all to honour him and remember his sacrifice. Fittingly, the parade also passes before a temple to an old God of War. HSS Religious: Temple for a God of War Barring homecoming parades to local heroes, the Academy is a busy place. In its great halls, scholars roam the bookshelves for new perspectives on contemporary issues. In the courtyard behind the main building, scholars go to discuss important issues, contemplate in deep thought, study, or to meet with their fellows. In the side wing, there are rooms for visiting scholars. The resident scholars typically have lodgings in the city, but may use the rooms for a peaceful place of study. Overview shots: HSS Scholars: The Avalonian Academy of Commerce, Economics, & Social Studies. C&C is welcome. This was intended to be a wing of the Petrayan University for Warzone 10, but I didn't manage to get it ready. And thus, the Trifork got itself an academy!
  19. A quick freebuild from me: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=112504 And a large build for the HSS/Task 4: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112507
  20. Just a quick freebuild to get my sig fig home from the war. C&C welcome Through a dust of smoke emerges a messenger in full gallop. He rears his horse and dismounts, bowing before Beorthan. "Mylord. I bring a message of truce, and one of joy." Beorthan's battle-weary expression lights up slightly, as he focuses on the messenger. "So, so, my friend - catch your breath and let me hear the news." The messenger pauses for a moment, producing an officially looking document from his saddlebags. He hands it over with a smile. "This is a message from the High Council, detailing the truce struck with both Ulandus and the Desert King. All troops are ordered to dispense hostilies for the next month and await further orders." Beorthan smiles wearily and sends a look towards his camp, where his soldiers are resting and recovering. "We are not alone in having been looking forward for this, I am sure... Maybe it is now time to look towards home..." Beorthan sighs, as if a great weight has been lifted from his shoulders. The messenger nods in agreement. "But you spoke of yet another message..." Producing another letter, bearing the official seal of the Trifork, the messenger smiles. "This letter is from your wife. While it was not for my eyes, it came with a message: Drond's Fields are back in its rightful hands, and its ruler has married your niece in a union of love." "A message of joy indeed!" Beorthan says and motions towards the camp. "Follow me to the camp... First, I will inform the troops and order them to pack for home. Then, I shall read the letter in private..."
  21. Looking great! The Amber King and his Ash Wolves will be very interesting to follow, especially given the civil war soon to come! What I like the most is how you have included both strengths and weaknesses, and how the appear to be balancing out perfectly. Looking forward to hearing more of the Ash Wolves too.
  22. I think Captain Nemo said it perfectly - All perspectives look like the best perspective. There are details to appreciate everywhere, and something going on so many different places. Only thing I am missing is a bit of a story - how does it fit into Historica. Can't wait to have you back for good!
  23. Nice build overall, but the best part is how you have credibly added to the lore of Historica and especially Avalonia! Great story! I'm am sure the newly weeds will have a long and happy marriage and that it will bind Drond's Fields and the Trifork closer together! ;)
  24. Welcome back, Alfadas! I too have been hit by school and hope to be more active over the summer now! :)
  25. Finally got around to posting this: The Twins And yes, that is a freebuild not connected to the challenge!
