  1. I'm feeling the pressure! And a tower is starting to take shape here too...
  2. Lovely build! I especially like all the various rounded shapes you've managed to capture here The story is also very fitting for the "grayscale" approach to good and evil in GoH I like the best (Are you also using fleshies for the elves, because I seem to recall you normally stick to yellows...? )
  3. Very cute house and great idea to use the small dinosaurs as baby dragons
  4. Wow! This is one of the best GoH builds in a long time! Love the level of details and how this hints of a whole vibrant core of the capital city
  5. So many nice new animals! For sure there are also lots of monkeys in the more tropical parts of Kaliphlin The flat sides of the elephants seems to just ask for being covered in colorful cloth and armor!
  6. Oh, new challenges! That's usually what gets me out of my repeating mini-dark ages (And shame on me for checking the GoH forum this irregularly so I didn't see it until today...) Good to hear anyway that old Kali had more builds than the tree-huggers, kudos to the two of you who have held the blue and red colors high!
  7. I watched it for free (with ads) in their app ”TV4 play”, but had to create a free account to access it. Maybe it’s only possible if your IP address is in Sweden... I think they were limited in taking own pictures, but they were given photos by the production team to share on social media. Here are a few on @Zilmrud’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIwRX2PpPm1/?igshid=6cnm4zx0u4u1 and @Full Plate’s: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIvLCbipo7I/?igshid=goksjgx27lox I assume that EB is also considered a social media so at least these photos could be used in a MOC thread
  8. Team Historica @Zilmrud and @Full Plate built an Avalonian castle as their final build in the Swedish edition of Lego Masters! https://www.tv4play.se/program/lego-masters-sverige (Will we get to see a MOC thread here at GoH with your build too...? )
  9. This is for sure one of the best layouts we’ve seen in all the years of GoH! Thanks my friends for the awesome job you’ve done bringing a typical Kaliphlin city to life
  10. Nice concept and well executed I don’t know how the UoP grading works these days but you definitely have my +1 for the studs up rocks and cliffs
  11. Thanks! The skeleton is one of these: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=53570
  12. Part 2 of the story about the Baiamonte family. My entry to Book III, Challenge V, Category B together with @Louis of Nutwood and @Henjin_Quilones. Rufus stepped on a chain of rocks, elevated from the ground. The rocks started as small pebbles, that turned larger and larger, poking out of the ground like stakes. The rocks twisted and turned, like roots trying to find their way through the earth. But those rocks were smooth and white as snow itself. Teeth and claws, solid as bones. He suddenly realized, he was not walking over a chain of stones, but over the skeleton of a fallen beast. Dead. Rufus Baiamonte Bathing under the sunrays that flashed on the cave, Rufus noticed another set of bones, leaned against the tail of the fallen beast. On its side, a shiny steel sword that gleamed with the sun. On its handle was engraved the combination of three words: Strength. Consistency. Trust. The sayings of the Baiamonte family. Rufus reached for the fragile frozen and consumed hand of the skeleton lying in front of him and squeezed it tight against him chest, for a moment that would last the eternity in his mind. General Juan Rojas Baiamonte Rufus found his way out of the cave. Behind him, the tangling of the bag of bones reminded him that his mission had been successful, but far from complete. The whole build
  13. The build turned out very well! My favorite details are the tree and the way you have put some critters living in the riverbank @Henjin_Quilones There is more of that kind of water in store from #swedishlegomafia
  14. Discord seems like a good place for discussions "in the moment" but I agree that all things related to finished builds, story canon etc should be kept here at the forum.
  15. I'd be happy to team up with @Henjin_Quilones, what do you say...? Since I havn't been following all the Varlyrian threads, and it's in any case been a long time, I'd be happy to have support in deciding what the setting should be and the rough outline of what story my build should be telling. I have a Discord account, but I'm not very active there. Did I get it right that you are primarily looking to form a team of Mitgardians? Or is the odd Kaliphlinite welcome otherwise...? @Grover: Thanks for the summary!
  16. I could probably contribute with a build to this challenge, anyone looking for another teammate...? Although I could use some creative guidance, quite blocked on what to build.
  17. Yes, I got some of those in the recent bulk as potential texture parts and I'm trying out some different uses for them now
  18. Thanks guys! Feels great to be back building after a too long break, even if my pace right now still is about a build this size every other month... It came in some sets in the late 90s and early 00s (https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=6251&colorID=11&in=A). Mine is from 2872.
  19. Great story and very well illustrated The trees are really stealing the show here
  20. Throughout Barqa the wealthy merchants and craftsmen of the city like to have a small walled garden on their property. The climate here where the Arkbri river meets the sea is favorable for the cultivation of many kinds of flowers, and many merchants take pride in their collection of exotic plants. Walled garden of Barqa Barqa is known for its black cats, and those who like the cats (or dislike rats?) make sure to have small doors for the cats to pass unhindered. Barqan cat door Additional images: My entry for Guilds of Historica Book III Challenge IV, Category B.
  21. Not at the moment, but working on clearing my build table to be ready for the next challenge. Just hoping that the deadline will be far enough out so that there will be enough time to get a build done after Skaerbaek
  22. Lovely build overall and great details The colors really stand out too. Can’t wait to see what this challenge will be (This reminds me of the indie game series Avernum, which also takes place in subterranean caverns where magically altered plants makes it possible for a realm of exiles from the surface to thrive)
  23. Nice concept and well done, I think you've nailed the shape of the wagon and I'm impressed to see such a "single use" headpiece being used in a MOC with good results
  24. Great build overall, I really like how much details you've squeezed in there! Kudos for all the good uses of Elves stickers and other printed parts
