  1. A bit tricky to make it render people too...even when I added "crowded" and "lots of people" I only got the crowds below Are these "Turkish" style renders this by the way converging towards the blend between Kaliphlin and Avalonian architecture discussed earlier...?
  2. Ok! Here are some of the results I got from similar prompts Gate with Bazaar: Map room/library: Throne room: Great hall interior: Cathedral interior: Rural Mediterranean medieval village Rural Turkish medieval village with a well and pack animals Rural medieval village by a forest with a dried up stream Misty ocean along a desert shoreline at daybreak
  3. Probably a bit more Avalonian however...? Also way too Avalonian for me
  4. Including a griffon in the prompt (happy to try with other beasts): Anyone of these I should iterate further on/upscale...? Edit: Did some upscales.
  5. Played a bit with generating concept art also for Mitgardia Feedback and more ideas are very welcom! (Should however really stop procrastinating from working on the challenge now, but it was too fun to play with AI art as well )
  6. Made some AI-generated concept art for Mitgardia too. You are welcome to use any of these pictures however you want! I would also happily accept ideas for improvements and especially ideas for other environments to try to generate Sometimes things don't go as expected, asked for a ranger hunting moose...but it turned out to be more of a fusion between the two But I thought they looked a bit cool so I'll put them here.
  7. It seems to be a bit tricky to force it to render a smaller scale of the town, but here are a few attempts (where I've also specifically asked for dirt road). Ornate wood is probably caused by me specifinging "intricate", which seems to have generated good results for other Kaliphlin renders. But for a smaller scale/less opulent architecture maybe that is a bit off the mark. (It's fun to play with this and I want to maximize the utilization the days I'm paying for unlimited use here, so keep going with ideas for concept art!)
  8. By popular demand I started playing a bit also with AI generation of Avalonian concept art, more ideas are welcome!
  9. That was a tricky prompt, not trivial to get the weights right. And definetely no goblins in sight...hmm. But here we got some goblins! (maybe a bit too steampunky however...?) Mostly generates Asian style buildings (despite me even specifying "European style roofs" or similar), but I suppose the way to go is to find the favorite composition and iterate on the best looking houses until reaching a suitable style. Including the image in the prompt (and trying my best to find additional input that removed as much as possible of the plastic look) generated something like this: (Tricky to get the bridges however, probably doesn't recognize the bridge in the photo as a bridge...?) Is some of this getting closer then...? That seldom ends well
  10. Some ideas generated by various prompts around these styles, anyone approaching the vision...? Some variations on the topic:
  11. Did this approach what you looked for...?
  12. A thread for AI generated or other concept art for Avalonian settings. Reserving first post for highlights.
  13. Some ideas for Rakath Mountain settings. Settlements in a valley (maybe too small to be Qarkyr however): Trying to ask the AI for a bit more Eastern Asian influence (not sure if it made so much difference however?) Some upscaled versions and trying to make the city larger (Qarkyr...?) but lost a bit too much of the jaggedness of the mountains: Probably my favorite so far, except for the too smooth mountains: ¨' More to come! Any favorites...? Feedback is welcome!
  14. Thanks! I'm happy if they can be of use For pictures to be included in the front page, I do however think that they maybe should be hosted somewhere else. Not sure about the longevity of direct links to the Midjourney Discord. I could put the ones we want to have there on my Flickr account instead so they can be linked more "permantently" from there, or at least save them to be able to do that in the future in case the URLs break. I've continued to play a bit with Midjourney (right now Rakath Mountain settlements , but I created a separate thread for Kaliphlin concept art now: I'm not going to keep my (too expensive) Midjourney unlimited generation subscription for very long, so if you have any more requests for concept art (right now my imagination is a limiting factor) please fire away! (other guilds' settings would also be fun to play with)
  15. Breaking out the discussion on AI generated concept art from the main Kaliphlin thread. Reserving first post for highlights. Feedback and requests for other renders are very welcome! I'd be happy also to work on some other guilds's if someone wants some copyright-free concept art for those environments too
  16. As many other people I've spent some time playing with AI tools the past year, and recently I tried Midjourney. The limitations is starting to become more on the human side (inspiration and especially my still meager skills in prompt crafting), but Kaliphlin concepts are always at the back of my head so I've dabbled a bit with those concepts now So here are some of the GoH related inspiration photos I've generated in recent days. Maybe it can inspire some of you too, for sure it's given me tons of inspiration! This probably borders on off-topic, but it's at least supposed to be inspiration for new Kaliphlin builds! And this thread needs some more life A generic Kaliphlin fortress, layers upon layers of history with new fortifications built on top of the ruins of old fortifications: (Similar thoughts as I had behind Sultans Gate: Main Gate) Some generic Kaliphlin city scenes (could be a wider shot of Streets of Barqa?) Typical Arkbri landscape, with ancient irrigation canals distributing some of the mighty Arkbri river's water to feed the agriculture of one of Kaliphlin's most important bread baskets (Arkbri Irrigation): Barqa is famous in all of Historica for it's high quality glassware (Glass Workshop in Barqa) A scene from the Kaliphlin civil war? (similar to Kaliphlin Desert Cavalry in Action ?) And last but not least...there seems to be huge potential to generate your own insignia etc (if one learns how to wrestle with the AI to produce the desired result) (Sorry for the spam, I can remove these or move it to a separate post if this is too off topic or too large images for these threads)
  17. Great color use and detailing on the exteriors, and your interiors do not disappoint as usual I especially love the sewer, great detail that one doesn't see very often more than as the openings (I wasn't expecting an interior there here either when I saw the openings)
  18. Lovely build! I particularly like the shape of the boat and the great looking bow wave (Once again, great to see more Swebrick builders in GoH )
  19. Welcome @MrLind! Great to see another fellow Swebrick builder here Can't wait to see more of Gyrdher's story and the environments around Faeril (and maybe one can hope to see some of those builds live a some point too?)
  20. For the Cedrica category, it would be great to have the "Cedrica modular standard" defined. I've gotten questions from LUG friends who are thinking about building for this, and we are used to clear CB interface standards (e.g. Castonia 2.0 as displayed in Skaerbaek) From photos on Flickr, I interpret the standard as: 3 studs water (baseplate + dark green + trans-clear) 3 studs walkway (2 bricks + plate at the interface) Technic brick at stud 10-11 Technic brick at stud 22-23, with a walkway on top (2 brick + plate high at the interface) 9 studs water (baseplate + dark green + trans-clear) First Floor by Marco den Besten, on Flickr
  21. Great categories fitting the celebration very well! Can’t wait to see all the world-building we’re going to get in the coming months
  22. The headline fooled me a bit I think, I suppose it means October 31st is 2021...? In any case, now when the general election here in Sweden is finally over (taking a step back from politics the coming term = hopefully a bit more time back for Lego) and after Skaerbaek Fan Weekend (the upcoming weekend) I'm really looking forward to building a bit more for Kaliphlin again! Have been in waiting mode for the upcoming challenge for a bit too long now, and what little Lego inspiration I've had has ended up at a couple of internal training & marketing projects at work instead.
  23. Impressive to combine such a non-blocky outside with a full interior I agree with previous comments that it is like two (or more?) different MOCs that you've managed to combine into one, well done!
