  1. Why do you need to pick up a few dl-44 for upcoming jango's?? It was Han Solos Weapon... Aslo they are E-11's (not D-11) which was Boba/Jangos weapon of choice i believe.
  2. They would have been smarter if they released mr gold as a regular figure with the "gold version" rare. Do you think that might be what they mean by "but he never seems to turn up exactly when and where you’re looking for him."
  3. Thats so weird, They're not for the PAB cups. I have seen them tell people not to do that before.
  4. hmm, okay then i would need a little more guidance on how to do that effectively and some other stuff
  5. Well i didnt abandon the idea as i wasnt sure what to do from the last time we posted. I dont know how to design anything in LXF or LDD so i was hoping others would pick up that area of contribution
  6. I've never had any problems The only problem i had was my minifig bavarian boy didnt have his feather, and they wouldnt send me a replacement feather. I know in fact that the white feather they have to have in stock it been produced since the 1980's...it was pretty disappointing on that one.
  7. I got one! I haven't bought anything since halloween
  8. Yes you can post LDD files here (now you have me thinking twice) I would love to bricklink the pieces and build this.
  9. Theres no way these are prelims. They've printed them they have the box art next to them these are probably 99% final. (some people are "hoping" they are prelim) These are great for targeting young ppl into Lego Castle, like i was in the 80's and these will be perfect to build with a child. I Love the look of the dragon set, and i will probably buy 3 of those.
  10. Looks good to me and i'll probably get the whole set and then some.
  11. Wow that is so awesome... I like that movie too!
  12. Where is that Great sword in the last picture from? I dont recall seeing that anywhere and i am not familiar with BrickArms or BrickForge if thats where its from
  13. *I think this a good idea and I'm not even a technic builder. I also think that you should at least get some exposure over in the LEGO Historic Themes section. I know your mainly focused on Technic, but if you can even have 4 people jump on board, from each forum you will not only increase your fanbase but also traffic. Most of the time when i see a good technic model i don't usually follow it anywhere as I'm never going to build it or even try. However, if you have Castle or some other photos that i see, i may follow that link to your website, thus generating more traffic.
  14. I just called Customer Service and i got a Replacement Cape coming and on the way. Same Color, longer correct size.
  15. Hmm i thought i did clean them if you compare but what were you thinking?
  16. Can you do a photo just of the seating area with some fill flash i'd love to see all the details of it.
  17. Was the Rendering the same size as the LDD Officials? It seemed a little smaller, but yeah 512x512 is perfect. I thought the program could output instructions? If not then its not necessary, i only suggested it because i thought it was an easy addition. so lets lay down some rules huh? Allowed Sets Only alternative Model design as released on official Box Art, Lego Club Magazines, Official Lego Marketing materials are allowed Set have to be constructed using only the pieces available in the official set itself. The set have to contain something you can build. Sets with scattered parts or single minifigures are not allowed. [new!] Use of images in the topic Only images related to posted sets (and then lxf file) are allowed, as a preview. Only one image for each set is allowed. One replicating the image. Images should be simple and clear: no "creative" images are allowed, but simple screenshots. Avoid compositions (more images in one), images with another image as background, animated images, 3D images, renderings with external CAD softwares, etc... [new!] Don't quote images from other posts. Any other image can be inserted as text link. As images are for preview purpose only, should be not too big! Maximum size allowed is 512x512 pixels. Use 256x256px size or lower for small sets. Crop images removing horizontal and vertical blank stripes. Insert a model Report set number, set official name and Alternative Set Location (Inside Box Flap, rear of box top right) and emphasize that in bold, in order to help to generate the index. For example: 5988 - Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins - Theme: Adventure Report the version of LDD used to build the model. That's explicitly required when the version used it's not the last release. [new!] Please specify if the set is in the index already! (i.e. if it is a duplicate) Insert a screenshot of your creation, in order to provide a preview. One screenshot for each set. Report if the model is complete or some piece is missing or replaced by a custom solution. Don't divide a single set in more than one post. Put a single set in a single .lxf file. If necessary (or even if not!), use LDD groups function to separate different elements. LDD model should be similar to the original model as much as possible. Include minifigs, if any. Every personalization (personal logos, additions, changes) makes a model a "Modified Model". [new!] and obviously... Share you lxf file! Update a set Update the post where you originally inserted the set. Report the update in the Upgrade Topic. Be care to follow the rules of the Upgrade Topic. [sets created by other users] If the set has been built by another user, contact him and ask him to update. If contact model's builder wouldn't possible or he don't want to update it, insert the updated model in a new post as it would be a new model, but specify it is an update and insert the link to the original model's post. Inform the indexer before posting. Besides You are encouraged to inform an LDD file maker if you notice an adjustable defect in his/her LDD file! If you notice something wrong in the index, please report it to the indexer. If you use custom pieces to replace missing bricks in LDD, please post it in the "LDD custom bricks" Topic!
  18. I'm very enthusiastic that you guys are actually warming up to the idea. In fact in all the forums im a part of this thread has been the best experience of any i've started or been a part of. legolijntje - Could i request just a little bit of a bigger render? I think that we should make some guidelines so any renders are standard sizes. Also Could we generate an instruction file and a post a link to it? I think since they don't have any real instructions we should post a .pdf of them with the render. one issue i have is i see great MOC's.. but i don't know how to do them. I've tried and done okay on my own but what i feel this is intended to accomplish is here you have 6030 set and here is how you build official set. Now you build alternates and it expands your brain to think of pieces differently then their original use and starts to break down the walls of stagnant thinking by introducing complex ideas with the SAME pieces... i think its great!
  19. Wow that is so cool!!! To actually see that is awesome. So what i'd like to do is get every one of the Alternates box images created and then move to the next set and then fulfill that and as we do that the list will get longer and larger!
  20. Well as I said one of the problems would be that i didn't have any LDD experience nor am a good MOC'er to begin with. So it would need some community support to breathe life into it and then from there hopefully it would grow.
  21. Well i think we could start with a Series or something Maybe this one is a good start: Set 6030 Catapult
  22. I totally disagree!!! I want more of the new ones that were created. I also want more variety too but it would be awesome to see it fleshed out.
  23. I'll work on it a little bit in the next couple of days and see if I can put together a starting point. The only issue i get is that it might not be as important and so gets lost in the shuffle.
  24. Hmm that makes sense and yeah that a cool idea about those seen in video games. I'd have to gather a few supporters who would like to see something like this come to fruition. I've never used LDD so i couldn't even begin to get it started with one or two and then have other start adding so it starts to swell and then have regular contributors. The one thing i like is that these probably only used the available pieces in the set to make them so you already have a limited amount of pieces to use (maybe thats good or maybe thats bad..lol
  25. I'm not sure what everyone means by "they can not be accepted because they dont have official instructions" Is this forum approved by lego? (and i mean promotoed as the official source to get LLD drawing and such) Or is this something that forum moderators decided was the way this was going to work? I'm just wondering why you couldnt have The original set and indexed with them any Alternate sets designed by Lego and promoted as such (meaning the sets on the boxes with no instructions) I dont have any issue with how things are working now so my question is just from the outside looking in and not knowledageble about how things operate in this side of EuroSpace. Thats was probably my objective in posting this that although Lego never released instructions for these models, could we create an index and maybe even LD files or Real instructions for them? With all the memebrs and sources here it wouldnt be hard to track down all the images of other models and then start having them build. Its a dream i know but who knows!
