INDEXED Hi!!! On my way back from Beijing via British Airways, I found they sold this set, so, without doubting it, I got it. So, here's a short review, hope you enjoy it... Set: 7688 - Sports Aeroplane Year: 2010 Theme: Town, Airline Promo Set Pieces: 105 Price U$S 25.- The Box Front Back Side One thing that caught my atention is the relatively small size of the box. Having 105 pieces, the box is quite smaller than in other sets. I guess it has to do with the fact that it is sold on airplanes, where there's not much space. :) Just a pic, to compare with a minifig. Contents Two bags, some loose pieces and a single instruction booklet. Minifig One single minifig, with the new style of cap. Instructions A couple of pages, just to show... Models The support car: It has a really simple design, but I find it really cute. comes with a couple of tools to repair the plane and a fire extinguisher. The plane: Mid build Complete Set: Leftovers Thoughts: Really nice set to own. the design od the plane is great and the first LEGO plane to have a bubble cockpit. If built in other colours, it could easily be turned into a WWII fighter or a brazilian Tucano. If you have the chance, get it!!!!

Hi!!! Could you PLEASE tell me in which one and how much the whole box costs? I was in HK last week and couldn't get them... and my girlfriend is going there in the next weeks, so perhaps she can get them for me. :) Many thanks!!!! -

By far the best "evil" castle to date. I use it for the skelletons which never had a REAL one. If you can, get it, you won't regret it!!!
-
On the first wave, the orcs dind't have one... and then we got those two great minifigs, the Troll Queen and King.. :)

I totally understand you. Living in Argentina, I also get to pay up to 3 times the retail value for sets (though, I must admit that, except for the huge sets) we get new sets fairly quickly. Nice find, congrats and enjoy!!!!
-
I order to establish what is expensive, you must balance it with what you get. So, paying U$S100.- for a 25 pieces sets (in the case this exists) is far more expensive than paying U$S 400.- for a set containig thousands of pieces... Just my two cents... :)

Ok... This is certainly the topic for me!!! I've had (and my family too) LOTS of paranormal experiences... I've been told by a psychic that I had medium abilities which I should develop, yet I decided not to... you will then understand the reason. I'll just tell you some of these experiences, since they are really many. The first one I can remember is this one: I was about 8. On the holidays we used to go with my family to a small cottage in the mountains (the pre Andes range). It was a really deserted place, having just a few houses around it. I remember we were walking through the mountains with a couple of friends when we saw, at a higher mountain top a shining cloaked human figure which stared at us. I remember that I felt a lot of sense of PEACE. After discussing it with my friends, they told me they had felt the same, so we decided to comment it with the priest of the village and he strongly thought that we might had seen an angel. When I was about 15, my grand ma died. A few days later, we went with our family and our dogs to a country house we own, and which was owned by my grand ma. One night, we were all in the park, watching the stars when our german shepperd started barking wildly, starint at the inside of the house. The house has a corridor which links four bedrooms which face the garden with huge windows. We ALL saw my grand ma walking along the corridor, passin in front of each bedroom's door and the enter the living room and disappear into the dining room.... Scary.... That same day, my brother who had stayed in our appartment studying, raised his face from his book, only to see my grand ma sitting in front of him, smiling sadly. He was completely freaked out and left the apartment running and wouldn't go back to it for almost a month!!!! A few years later, I FELT I should go and visit my grand pa (who is must be one of the persons I most loved in my life), who lived 1200 km from us. I remember that when leaving back home, I strongly felt he was saying goodbye. A few months later, he got really ill, so we all decided to go and see him. Since it was a holiday, we couldn't get plane tickets anywhere, so my parents rented a small plane for them and mi sister and me took a bus. During the night, I felt a huge void in me. I looked at my watch, turned to my sister and told her "Grandpa has died". When we got to my grand pa's city, we were told he had died during the night. I was asked to make arrangements for the burial, and remember that, when I read the death certificate, the hour stated for his death was the same at which I had felt it. For months after that, I remember having "dreams" with him, in which we talked and discussed some serious problems my parent were having. I've always believed they weren't "dreams". After that, my experiences diminished. I was told that it was because I blocked them. I only had dreams of things to happen during these period (funny stuff, such as letters arriving, or seeing university teachers I didn't know and who then came to be my teachers). Until this year. With my girlfriend we moved to a really old house which is haunted. We regularly see our "guest". He is a middle aged man, really thin and wearing a suit. He looks sad and just stands by a window and looks at us. Strangely, he isn't scary and we are planning to call a priest so that he can leave and have peace. The only thing he did, that was disturbing was the following. One morning, I woke up to the sound of really loud music. I was alone in the bedroom with the doors closed. The music came from the contiguous room, where there is a music player. My first thought was that my girlfriend hadn't realized the time it was and that she was listening to music. I got up really angry, asking my girl to turn down the volume, only to find out that the house was COMPLETELY empty (she had gone out for a walk) and that the music player had started itself "alone"... although it was unplugged!!!!!! The reason why I didn't want to develop my medium capabilities is the following: The same thing runs in my mother. Twenty years ago, she dreamt with an aunt who had died. Her aunt told her a date, and exact and precise date. It was the date when my mother's brother died in a car accident. She still lives with that and I prefer not to know things like that... If you found this interesting, I've got some more from me and friends to share.

I don't think so. Working in computer generated images and renderings, it seem doesn't seem to be one to me. -
Looking for 18 Dark Gray BURPS (piece 6082)
frogstudio replied to frogstudio's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
The colour would be Dark Gray (old). I tried brivklink, but the only seller having that amount charges triple of the average price for that piece. Many thanks... -
Hi!!!! I'm looking for 18 Dark Gray BURPS. If someone has them and wants to sell them at a reasonable price, please contact me. Cheers from Argentina!!!!

It means that the remote control doesn't include the batteries it needs to work, but I'm pretty sure the set will bring the battery pack...:)

Many fans just buy sets for the minifigs. If you can get the minifig for 2 buvks... why will you buy a 10 bucks set for it? To me, it's just a simple way of making you buy more LEGO... which is always nice!!!! :) -
Great find!!! Though I'm not sure about the sets (the big castle looks good, but yet, there's something I don't like about it) I spotted LOTS of new pieces. New helmets, what seems to be a new gate piece, new horse armour (which looks like a unicorn) The impulse sets look great and will be getting them. The heradlry, is a remake of previous ones. The dragon shield looks very similar to the duplo gradon emblem (which is great, since I alway loved that design) what surprised me is that there is not a single mounted night for the dragon faction!!!! Overal, I have mixed emotions about the sets. Happy with new heraldry and pieces. Not happy with the designs. They seem similar to the Knight's Kingdom era... I would have prefered to have them rooted in the 80's sets. Jus my two cents... :)
-
I don't really think that would be the price for the sets. Almost 300 bucks for a train would be too much to reach a decent audience, making train sets only available to AFOLS... and if the sets are ment for AFOLs, I guess TLG would have gone with other designs. That's just my opinion, though...
-
I its just for the names, I don't think I'll be getting any. I wish TLC could be a bit more imaginative about sets. I mean, medieval times have somany thing of which you could make a set, rather than making the same sets again and again and again....

Ok, interesting topic, so here I go. My real name is Gonzalo and I'm 35. I live in Argentina. I'm an architect and have been teacing Architecture at Buenos Aires University for the las 10 years. I own my studio and an currently working, associated with another studio, on the project of a soccer stadium. I've also had other interesting jobs, The most interesting one, was working in the National Parks Administration, which allowed me to visit many really beautifull places and to have really weird experiences. One of them, was to be be cought by night with another park guard at 3500 m above sea level in the andes, and having to sleep there. Though frightening, it was one of the most beautifull experiences in my life. Another one, was sleeping in the middle of the desert, with no human presence 300 km arround.... and waking up to find out that a rattle snake had its lair only 5 feet away!!! This job also allowed me to work on my other passion besides Architecture: Photography. I'm single and have no kids, but I have the most inteligent and beautiful girlfriend and we are planning to move together soon. I LOVE animals. Used to have two german shepherd dogs, Otto (for Otto Wagner) and Wolfi (for Wolfgang A. Mozart), but one died last year and the other one this year. I really miss them. Also, as you can guess from my dog's names, I really like classical music. I also love symphonic rock and The Beatles. Besides collecting LEGO, I am also a huge music collector, owning about 2500 CDs and 700 vynils (including picture disc and that kind of stuff). I like to play football, and am rather good at it. I also had a rock band when during my dark ages and was invited to join the staff of the Colon theatre. Unfortunaterlly, I've lost most of my voice due to smoking (DON"T SMOKE, it's a real nasty habit, and once you're into it, it's really difficult to quit!!!!) I like cooking and good food, and can eat almost anything. I also love wine and plan to take a somelier course. Other weird stuf... I sleep really little (about 3 / 4 hours a day) which makes my friends tell me I'm an owl!!! I've travelled a lot and visited most of Europe, the States, Middle East and South America. Right know I'm planning a 1 month trip to India and Tibet (with a short stay in Hong Kong). Well... I think that's pretty much waht I have to tell right now. Now you know me a bit more. :)

Hadn't noticed the new part. As a parts set, it's great... yet, as a set itself it's pretty childish...

After lookingat the prelim pic, I don't think or see this as part of the Train theme. It's just part of the Toy Story theme, as was the train in the Harry Potter line. The idea wouldn't be bad... Give kids push trains from licensed themes and AFOLS REAL moving trains.
