  1. I'm definitely interested Chris, so please get them for me. I'll PM you my detail, so that we can sort out everything...
  2. Monkeys... They are wicked!!!!
  3. I guess newspapers shouldn't be that expensive... and a single shipment with all the mini sets shouldn't weigh that much, so it shouldn't cost a fortune... or at least I guess so....
  4. Great!!!! If there is a kind soul in the UK willing to get these sets for me (I live in Argentina), I'll be glad to send the cost of the newspapers + the shipping costs (just PM me) and really thankfull... Cheers!!!!!
  5. Sorry.. Adms.. please detlete this thread then...
  6. Don't know if this has already been posted (read at http://www.brickset.com/) If there is a kind sould in the UK willing to get these sets for me (I live in Argentina), I'll be glad to send the cost of the newspapers + the shipping costs (just PM me) and really thankfull... Cheers!!!!!
  7. I wouldn't miss it. I own one, and, to me, it's really great. Has a really nice design and a lot of playability.
  8. Surely, but he would still have the same size of image, pixelwise... :)
  9. It won't give you a huge close up of the fig, but a nice image. Try to shoot the image in the best possible quality. If it's small, PM me and I'l blow it up for you in an almost losless way. Cheers and good luck!!!!
  10. Hi!!! Being a photographer, I think I can help on this one. Firstly, you must be surely using some kind of pocket camera (either film or digital) Here comes the first problem concerning something calle paralx error. In this type of caneras, the lens isn't exactly capturing what you're looking at in your visor. With wide photographs, this isn't a problem, bur with close ups yes, simply because you camera is either focusing behind or in front of what you actually want to shoot. Most cameras have something called an autofocus assist beam. This is a red light that helps the camera focus under dim light. You should try to position this light over the minifig, ignoring what you see in your visor. Second problem is all camera lenses have a minimum focusing distance (even real macro lenses for SRL cameras have a minimum focusing distance). As someone mentioned, to solve this, you should place the camera quite far away from the minifig (no less than 1.5 metres, that would be a safe distance) and use the optical zoom of your camera in order to get a big image of it. The third issue you should take into account is camera shake. When using a tripod, although you don't notice it, when you press the shutter buton, the camera shakes and moves. When taking wider photographs or when you're not using a zoom, this is hardly noticeble, but, when doing close ups, it REALLY pops up. Best thing to do: use the self timer of your camera to solve this. If after doing all this you're still having blurred photos, the you've got some kind of problem with your camera. Hope this has helped. Cheers!!!!
  11. Worst place to get LEGO? Definitely Argentina. No sets at all, unless you are willing to pay four times the price tag of S@H...
  12. This is waht I usually do: a) Design the sail, either in Photoshop or Illustrator. b) Print it on Iron-on T-Shirt transfer paper (I use one from Canson) c) Transefer it to a a nice piece of cloth (I use tan cloth for mi Castle and Viking Ships and White for my Pirate Ships) d) Cut it e) Enjoy it... :) Hope this has been usefull.
  13. I really like having different torsos within the same faction. Makes it more realistic to me. Remember, middle ages came before industrialization, so the most probable thing would be that you would have a wide variaty of uniforms within the same army... Just my two cents. :)
  14. I totally agree. It would be great to see the "credits" for this and other amazing sets. TLG, many, many thanks.. :) I've cleaned up the image of the Orc Queen so that we can have a better view at it.
  15. Why are you all guys thinking that this is the crownies queen??? In fact, if you consider that her dress is blue and not dark blue, it could be possible that she is another maiden, either from pirates or perhaps, and why not, the elvish queen.. :) We are all thinking that Elves will be in a green color scheme... but they could as well be Sea Elves and be in a blue scheme... In LOTR, the color is more near to greyish blue than to green... Just a thought.
  16. I want it!!! Can someone freeze me til January so that I don't suffer so much of waiting????
  17. I'm in. I would love to have this set.
  18. For those interested in this point of view, I would recomend two films/documentaries: a) Zeitgeist b) The End of Suburbia Two really interesting movies that, in my opinion will get your brain moving and make you question yourself a lot of things...
  19. Hi again. It's funny how no one has answered the question. I'll quote myself "existing castle set". Of course, MOCing is always the best option, but the idea of the question was to see which existing Castle sets you could blend easily with the new fantasy sets. Cheers...
  20. Hi to all!!! I was wondering which existing Castle set you guys would use to house the Skellies. In my opinion, the Skeletton Tower is simply awful. My vote goes for Vladek's Dark Fortress. I own this set, and I must say it's simply GREAT. It's HUGE and the color scheme (black, dark red, and dark tan) just blend beautifully with both skellies and trolls. I would like to hear your thoughts. Cheers!!!
  21. I voted "average" think the Minifig and black cat are great.
  22. Hi all you dear Lego lovers. I was just watching the news at home about the Worldwide Economic Crash and begun wondering how this would affect ou favourite hobby. Personally, I think that, on one side, most of us will be having less cash to spend on it. On the other hand, and due to this same fact (people having less money to spend and a general retraction in all economies), I'm sad to say that possibly TLG will put on hold many new sets (or at least, that's waht I would do... why realease really good designed and expected sets, such as a new Pirates line and farm sets when people wont be able to buy them and be good sellers????). Well, those are my thoughs... Gloomy, but I would like to hear yours. Cheers to all from down south, in Argentina...
  23. Wow!!!! As we say here in Argentina "God gives bread to those without teeth". I f you are not into LEGO, I will personally solve your problems. Just send it over TO ME :). Send me a PM and I'll gladly send you over my mailing address!!! How I envy you. That set is just awesome. Congrats and enjoy it. :)
  24. I love cheese!!! My favourites: gruyere, camembert, brie, atuel and provolone with rhum...
