  1. For sure, the best post of the topic!!! Made fall of my chair with laughter! Concerning the topic itself, I think we all should calm down. We haven't even seen the set!!! I wouldn't mind to get a hellicoptersimilar to the Coast Guard one, or a real hidrant one. The piglet set sounds promising (as it is a hint to new animals). The tanker could be a great one (think of the use of round panels... in fact, just today I was wondering why they didn't release one and was thinking of building a MOC). The roundabout also sound good... So, in fact, there are, at least for me only two "questionably boring" sets. And, a small reminder to all of us... if we don't like it, we are not obliged to buy it!!!! Sometimes, when reading this kind of topics, some of us sound as junkies being supplied bad quality drugs!!! Just my two cents, not meant to bug anyone.
  2. If you look closely, in the shop's window, there's a train and a robot!!! This set is simply lovely, full of new stuff!!!
  3. Great custom!!! Congratulations!!! I really like the color scheme.
  4. Hi!!! Yesterday I was listening to my old records, and decided to play the album Clutching at Straws, by Marillion. To my amazement, in track 7 (Incommunicado) I suddenly heard the following words: "...I'm a citizen in Legoland, travelling incommunicado..." I couldn't believe I had never noticed it. I started listening to Marillion during my adolescence (same time when I had my dark years) and hadn't listened to this album since I started collecting Lego again... Guess that's why I hadn't noticed it. So, my question is: Do you know of any other song where Lego or something Lego related is mentioned?
  5. Same here... :)
  6. Hi!!! I've never printed directly on the fabric. What I do is to print over an iron-on transfer paper (I use one produce by canso, but Avery and almost any paper brand have their own). After it dries, I iron it over the selected fabric. I usually use a fabric that, at least here, is calle microfibre. It's a good choice, since it doesn't fry too much. I also use some clear cota over the canvas once I'm finished. Hope this helps.
  7. I completey agree!!! Unfortunatelly I don't have any of those pieces and hadn't time to get then on Bricklink. :)
  8. Sorry, where will this appear within the Brick Forge page?
  9. Hi to all!!!!! First of all, I want to thank evryone involved in this contest. I want to thank the EB staff, for organizing it, BrickForge for providing the prizes (I find it great that it's a "pick waht you like" prize, rather than a fixed item), to all those who submitted entrances, an to all of you who placed your vote (I wasn't able to vote, unfortunatelly, due to some personal issues). As way of saying "thank you" to all of you, I've uploaded decals for both the Bishop and the Rabi (they are at 600 DPI, so, if you print them at that resolution, you shouldn't have a problem) and building instructions for the Fishermen's Cottage and the Watermill. Hope you enjoy them, and once again, THANK YOU!!!! Brickshelf Folder with decals & instructions
  10. Simply... WOW. Great MOC. Congrats!!!!
  11. I never disassemble the sets. After they are built and displayed for some time, they are stored in plastic boxes. The few sets I disassembled were due to lack of space, but even the, I didn't use the pieces. I bagged them divided by set. Whe I want to MOC, I ussually design the item with LeoCad and then order the pieces in Bricklink.
  12. I never said I had read it... said it was what I thought. :)
  13. Well, I voted it will continue. Here goes my theory: TLG has Elves sets designed, but decided not to put them into the market because it{s and economically hard year for everyone, and these would be rather expensive sets (think how many pieces a decent tree has). So, they put up the rather crapy set we got this year, compensated with great minifigs, and reserved the big hit for next year. Well, at least this is how I see it...
  14. Once again, I want to thank you all for your kind comments.. I can´t wait for the results!!! I´m so anxious!!! Cheers!!! :)
  15. First of all, I want to thank you all for your kind comments. About the rabbi headgear, it is the upper part of the Brickforge turban. Cheers and once again thanks to all...
  16. Many thanks Tin7!!! It took some time, but I finally made it... :)
  17. Theme Name: Medieval Life (Castle, and the new faction is…. CIVILIANS!!!!!) Theme Description: The line can be considered a subtheme of the Castle line. It consist of a series of civilian sets destinated to populate our Castle world Entry: - Link to Hi-Res folder of the minifig My entry is a Bishop minifig. The minifig has several layers, since bishop dresses are comformed in that way. The first one is a vinyl sticker, which has on it the basic garnment, the same that a common prist would use (then take a look at the decal sheet) Then, we have several layers made of cloth, which has been applied an iron-on transfer. The crown was made with sculpy, then painted with acrylics and final it had a sticker applied. The minifig wears a cape with his emblems on it. Usually, bishops were members of important families, so, to their family´s coat of arms were added the religious symbols (in this case, the baculo). The minifig also carries a baculo, which was made with a 4L bar + torch holder + IJ whip.
