I guess that how one designs depends mainly on one's personality. Being an architect, I'm used to designing buildings in my computer... so why not do the same with LEGO MOCs? After doing my reserach, I sit in front of my PC, and using LeoCad (I prefer it to LDD, since it has more parts) I make my first draft design. Usually, this design has too many pieces, or pieces difficult to get. so, next step is to refine the model, reducing piece count and replacing the costly parts. Then I get the piece list from the program itself and try to get the pieces at bricklink. Usually I wont be able to get all pieces in a single store, but, using the Wanted feature at bricklink I can get the pieces I need from the least number of vendors, thus reducing costs. when I get my pieces, I simply build it and enjoy.. :)

If I were a head in TLC, I would give this gy a job right now!!! Simply INCREDIBLE. Congrats to the author!!!!

Just finished building mine. Waht really surprised me is how small it is!!! Yet, its an outstanding set which I will never regret buying.

Besides Creatro house, I 've added a lot of Castle in my layout. In fact, Medieval Market Village forms pat of the Historic town of the layout, toguether with a Cathedral and several other castle buildings. I also have a traditional fair in my layout, with jousting knoghts and minifigs in castle "costumes". They work really well alongside with regular citizens taking photographs and filming. :)

I'd also like to get this one... can someone make it for us? Or if someone has the stickers and torso, can you scan it at hi res and I'll redraw it? Many thanks...

I like and use BURPS, LURPS and stickers, if you consider the as pieces (and they have been arround since ever, so the discussion about printed vs stickers is useless)

I love these small sets!!! I wish LEGO produced some of these nowadays!!!! It seems that bigger is better, but this sets demonstrates not. :)

Hi to all train geeks. If got some simple question. When travelling in the subway, I always notice these small little signs (see pics). Tey have different numbers, letters and dot patters. Has anynone any idea of what they are for and where I can find reference on them? Many thanks.

Nobody called your father an idiot, but it seems clear that you don't quite understand how Bricklink works. Bricklink is based, mainly, on trust. When you place an order, you are expected to pay for it, not to cancel it. You may ask yourself why this is this way. Well, basically, when you place an order, the store takes those pieces from their inventory, thus preventing other buyers from buying those pieces. So, when you cancel an order you leave the shop, not only without the purchase, but also, without other possible purchases. You should consider the way you manage yourself in Bricklink, otherwise, you'll pretty soon get banned by all stores. It seems you're a young user (I infer this from the fact that your dad is paying for your bricks), so, if you wish to use services intended for ADULTS (as Bricklink and this site are) you should mind behaving as such.

It's not "free" LEGO... someone is paying for it, and that is the seller. To me, it's simply STOLEN Lego... Sad...

To me it is as great as the others. If you have the chance, get it... Concerning the gate, in my layout, it goes last in the street, beside a park with a market fair which includes medieval market village... and it looks GREAT!!!!

I still is, my 2009 4WD with horse trailer had greasy wheels... :(
