  1. Judging by how much you want it, I'd say go for it. You've got a strong emotional connection to her character, and this is the only way to get this version in Lego. I firmly believe that if the minifig is worth that much to you, you should buy it. My absolute favourite LOTR character, and possibly favourite character in any story ever created, is Samwise Gamgee. I know that if he had been a comic-con exclusive, I would've shelled out the money to buy him. That's how strong my connection to him is. At the end of the day, do what you want. But given the background info you gave us, I vote yay.
  2. These look amazing! Tomorrow I have to download this. Completely beautiful renders! Remind me to browse the digital tools forum more.
  3. Great donkeys. They'd definitely add to my Lego Middle Earth! Fingers crossed that your project does well.
  4. Out of the Marvel ones announced at SDCC, I'm most excited for Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Ant-Man, Captain America: Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy. EDIT: Wait a second...I just re-read what I posted.
  5. Dang...that oven is pretty nice! Too bad it's so rare/expensive. Still, it's good knowing you found a buyer!
  6. Hi there! I don't know much about robots, but I hope you enjoy Eurobricks! Welcome aboard.
  7. I think that was a sneaky way of saying- and this is a crazy idea, but- I think he was saying with Lego you can build whatever you want, so if you want something, just build it!
  8. Pig, that's an awesome mumak! I hope TLG's version is half as good as that. Great work. Thanks for giving us the link!
  9. I do know that red prototype Vader helmets exist. I'm not sure about the blue prototype, though. Is the seller someone you can trust? Do they have a good reputation? The fact that they're offering a prototype that might not be real (the blue Vader) worries me about how truthful they're being with the red prototype.
  10. It's every bit as fantastic as I've learned to expect from you, ACPin! The overall building is great, and it's stuffed with so many awesome details. Nice bucket full of decals. Outstanding entry, and good luck with the contest. (Even though you don't need luck).
  11. This is a FANTASTIC ship! It's the best Lego Flying Dutchman I've ever seen, hands down. POTC ended much too soon, and I'd be thrilled to see this released. I'd buy it in a heartbeat! I hope your project does well. Best of luck!
  12. Nice entry! Like CM said, it's got the perfect amount of decorations. The tiled floor looks great. Awesome job!
  13. I'd start by doing some sort of rough draft. Maybe design a layout diagram...or even better; design an olliphant in LDD, post it here, and then we can go from there! It's easier to help when you have something to work with. Sounds like a fun project, and I can't wait to see how it goes.
  14. That looks stellar! Completely outstanding! There'd better be more pictures on your flickr...or else.
  15. Looks awesome! Maybe it's not perfect, but I think you're being too hard on yourself. I like the tan effect on his head. Sweet first custom, and I can't wait til you make more!
  16. Bonjour! Je ne suis pas trés bon á parlant Français. Je suis l'oppose de tu! Bienvenu á Eurobricks, et jouir le site Web! -purpleparadox
  17. Internet high-five for Canadian technology lovers and Lego fans! I'm not sure if I agree with your opinion on RIM and Apple, though. Anyway, welcome to Eurobricks!
  18. You guys didn't really think Voldemort was gone after The Deathly Hallows, did you? Try to ignore the sticky-tack showing over the top of the cheese slope.
  19. Is it Mary Jane or Gwen Stacy that is Spiderman's love interest on the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon? I'm hoping Gwen. I want a minifig of her!
  20. Awesome MOCs! They look like sets TLG would release. The Batboat is fantastic. It's got a great smooth, sleek, shape. I like the pop-up missile launcher on the top. The Joker's Airboat is sweet too. My only advice would be adding a bit more colour like orange or green alongside the purple. Nice parts usage on the ice cream piece! Looks to me like Batman'll be able to pummel the Joker.
  21. Haha, that's awesome! I'm assuming you built it? It's a shame you can't enter it in the SoF contest! Speaking of which, I need to get building...
  22. Holy smokes Deathleech! Your Helm's Deep looks excellent. I guess there's benifits to collecting only one theme. Still, I'm focusing on LOTR, Star Wars, and Superheroes (and whatever themes like Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Indiana Jones pop up). More expensive, yes, but they're too good to pass up!
  23. You don't frequent the Minifig Customization Workshop, do you? Here's one version, and here The Penguin explains how he made short posable legs.
  24. Sweet room! It seems a little bit...plain (not counting the walls...those windows are fantastic!), but I know there weren't too many details in the original itself that you could've added. Then again, since it adapted based on need, there could've been anything in there! So perhaps a bookshelf or two? Another thing you could do is pose the minifigs, practicing spells against each other or something along those lines. It makes the room seem more "alive" than if you just have them listening to Harry. I hope you don't take my comments the wrong way, I'm just trying to find ways to improve it even more! But it's a great room already. Like I already mentioned, I love the walls and windows, and the fireplace is a good detail. Thanks for sharing it with us! EDIT: Fixed a bit o' grammar.
  25. And didn't CallMePie once have an avatar with Lego Borimir that said "One does not simply make a minifig of me"? It was pretty good.
