  1. I've said it before, but I like the concept. How 'bout a set of packs to make the Mos Eisley Cantina? Mostly wishful thinking, but I just really want the Cantina Band. Good luck with the project!
  2. Hmm...the YouTube link isn't working for me, but it looks interesting! Nice to see a "functioning" LOTR MOC.
  3. Hey...I know I wasn't the one who started this topic, but since I needed the same help, thank you! It's an excellent technique and it's one I think I can put into practice more easily on Sam's house. (More easily than the official Bag End door technique, I mean.) I need to study old MOCs more! Thanks again.
  4. My most wanted Pirate ship? Sebeus I's Flying Dutchman!
  5. Welcome back, Axle. Feels strange welcoming a member who's been registered longer than I. I definitely don't remember you as a user, but I've seen your name around some old threads. Glad to hear you've escaped the Dark Ages, and let's hope you never have another time away from Lego!
  6. Fili and Kili were my favourite of the Dwarves. I was sad when they died. However, I hope (and think) that Peter Jackson won't change their fates in the movie. The more accuracy, the better!
  7. I posted this somewhere else on the Internet today, but I forget where, so:
  8. Darn! I was building a MOC of Sam's house too! I was dreading coming to the door segment. Maybe use a similar technique to the Bag End set, with different colours. Good luck with your version!
  9. This was an exciting scene in the book. Good job with the transition to Lego! The foliage is great, but my favourite part is the spider. Quite an interesting build!
  10. Personally, I really like the Nolan films and was sad to see them end. But wow, what a way to go! That was the best of the trilogy. Tons of action, tons of emotion, and a great plot with fantastic twists. I loved it.
  11. Looks good, just like I've come to expect from you! I don't watch much soccer so I'm really just appreciating the artistry here. The designing is great and I'm looking forward to seeing it on a figure!
  12. I just back from TDKR. It was amazing! But I'm pretty sure LT is right, now. I don't think we'll get a set based DIRECTLY on the movie. There's not much oppurtunity for Bane, Batman, and Commissioner Gordon all in one set. Unless we get more than one... Personally I hope there's at least two sets. A $15 price range set with Catwoman on the Batpod would be great!
  13. Thanks for the review, JackJonespaw! It's a really nice set. Dark colours are some of my favourites, and Dk. Blue looks really nice on this set. The truck is great, and I'd probably buy it even if it didn't come with those cool minifigures! Iron Man is probably my favourite out of all the Avengers figs. Despite the gap on the back, I like his helmet. He's also the only one (in this set) whose face is really accurate. And his torso/leg printing is good. I think the reason Loki's face is so unrecognizable is because his nose is such a prominent feature on his face (IMO). Other than that he looks great. I like Hawkeye's face with goggles and his body is nice and detailed. His bow is fantastic too. Overall a well-written review of a good set. Thanks!
  14. Interesting ship! The cockpit definitely has a Mandalorian feel to it. I like the technique for the wings. And a good-looking underside? Bonus points!
  15. Cool little MOC. I like the use of the Han Solo in Carbonite piece. It looks good...the only thing I dislike is the lack of hair on Tony Stark. I just can't get over his baldness.
  16. If this is the case- I suppose we probably won't be getting TDKR Catwoman. I'll need a professional-looking custom, then.
  17. The smokebelch- master of Lego Star Wars photography- is back! Fantastic shots. I like the first and second ones, the 4-in-1 photos. Jabba looks great. In fact, you made me want to go out and buy the Palace right now! But the budget does not allow.
  18. Woah. Woah. Woah. That's AWESOME! I love how the people are brick-built, and minifigs are used as action figures. The boy under the covers, and the Joker are great. Venom is...wow. The camera on the table looks awesome too! Outstanding MOC.
  19. Hi Emperor Krulos! I just thought I'd drop in to let you know how AWESOME those SDCC decals are. Spot-on. Let's all give EK a big thanks for his decals. Keep up the amazing work!
  20. Hmm...those are all fairly interesting ideas, but highly unlikely. They're all pretty specific to a theme, whereas the animals that a lot of Lego fans want (eg. sheep, moose, birds, deer, and the like) are seen in everyday life, and can be used throughout all sorts of themes. Pirates, City, Castle, etc....they could all benefit from some more "common" animals. Of course, ya never know!
  21. Fantastic job! Is that hairpiece official, or is it just a painted hairpiece from that Series 6 Female Astronaut? I'll wait for an official Rosie minifig...but if we don't get one within two years, I'm customizing.
  22. Awesome review, thank you! It seems like an okay set, but not worth that price tag. The main selling point is obviously the figs. Queen Amidala is a great minifig, and I hope we'll see more dresses in a similar style! Obi-Wan's and Qui-Gon's breather faces are cool, too. I'd like to have it, but because there's so many other great sets, I'll wait for a sale on this one.
  23. Darn you all! I barely have the self-control to stop from clicking those spoiler tabs. I mean, you guys are rating it 9.25 or even 11, out of 10! TDKR must be an amazing movie! But I won't click those and ruin it for myself. Going to watch it tomorrow!
  24. I like the background! And even as a Canadian, these are good customs, and quite recognizable. Now I kinda want to see some of Canada's prime ministers given the minifig-treatment.
