  1. The Terrazi Terrajin is one of my favorite vehicles in Ridge Racer 7--it looks and goes like a rocket! Recently, I was inspired to build a model in LEGO Digitial Designer similar to the Terrajin with an angellic theme (for another one of my favorite vehicles, the Kamata Angelus). The last time I made a Ridge Racer 7-inspired vehicle, it was the Hoverlego, inspired by the Assoluto Pronzione. Without further ado, I now present the Heavenly Rocket. Click any picture to enlarge it. Yes, it has steering! LDD won't allow it to go very far though...but then again, at angellic speeds, steering might not be of much help anyway. Check out the side profile! The only view most opponents will ever get to see... Yes, my model has only one rear wheel. I originally wanted two, but one worked out nicely. One aspect I really like about the Terrajin is the awesome panels that deploy when the nitrous is engaged. The Heavenly Rocket also has these, plus a few small winglets for extra stability. Focus towards the back... VROOM! If you are seeing this, you might as well say goodbye to first place! Here's the pilot, Angela, in the cockpit (yes, that steering wheel really works!) LXF File - Brickshelf Gallery (when public) Is this machine race-ready, or does it need to go back to the garage? -Toa Of Justice June 1, 2011: Edited for grammar.
  2. Nice review, legofan. Unfortunately, all of your images look like this... I would recommend using Brickshelf instead of Photobucket. -Toa Of Justice
  3. Thank you very much for the nice comments and adding my models to the index! -Toa Of Justice
  4. Ironically, my latest LDD model is for college rather than a relaxing diversion from it! Basically, I had to do a project involving some type of software, and I got approval to use LEGO Digital Designer! My professor encouraged everyone to post their projects on the Internet, so I did! The Terramphi is a concept amphibious military vehicle. It can cruise over land and water at 150 miles per hour while maintaining a smooth ride for its two occupants, thanks to its tough suspension and reinforced wheels. Its engine provides 1,000 horsepower, which can drive the wheels on land, run the rotatable rear turbines on water, or power both for an extra boost on land or water. The Terramphi defends freedom with a rotating and elevating machine gun turret, four smaller machine guns in the front, and two missiles that can launch at any land, sea, or air target within two miles of the vehicle. A satellite dish and a radio antenna facilitate navigation and communication with other soldiers in the field. There is also a storage compartment in the rear of the vehicle for supplies. I dedicate the Terramphi to freedom-defending soldiers around the world. Click on any image to enlarge it. Front Side Rear Top Bottom Check out the engine! Suspension, turbines, guns, missiles, and satellite dish in action; mirrors folded in to protect them in combat. Doors and storage compartment open; missiles and satellite dish folded in. The brave soldiers who ride the Terramphi into battle. LXF File Concept Sketches Two older versions of my model (LXFs only; no screenshots available at this time): Version 1 - Version 2 Full Brickshelf gallery (when public) So, is the Terramphi battle-ready, or should it be sent back to the engineers for improvement? -Toa Of Justice
  5. Great work, GabryS! I really like the Ford Mutt. The tires, steering (!) sideways-mounted 1x1 round plates (mirrors?), and folding windscreen are all awesome. The Huey is great as well--the sliding door is well-built! I also like how you built the main rotor mount--is that tilting I see? -Toa Of Justice
  6. Nice work! I like the camouflage pattern. Can the soldiers fit into the vehicle? -Toa Of Justice
  7. Thanks, and you're welcome. I remember spending several hours, sifting through the entire TECHNIC axles and connectors palette. I should mention that I haven't tested every part that has a cross or pin hole that go all the way through, but I think I got most of them. Anyone is welcome to test whether other parts obey or ignore 59426's stop. In the meantime, I need to get back to my college work! Thank you very much! -Toa Of Justice
  8. I found a major bug involving 59426 (Cross Axle 5.5 with Stop)--some parts obey its stop, others obey it partially, and still others totally ignore it. Parts that obey the stop (trans-green): 32068 (cross hole only), 42003, 6590, 53585, 6536 (cross hole only), 32013, 32123, 32039, 45590, 42610, 6641*, 6553, 32184, 32291, 41678 (round holes only), 44809, 32187, 33299, 32192, 32557, 63869, 93571, 64276 (cross hole only), 57585, 50923, 87408 (center round hole), 53586 (cross holes only), 57520, 48723 (cross hole only), 93575, 61054 (cross holes), 32177 (cross holes), 55615 (when two or more round holes are connected), 61905 (cross holes only), 41475 (cross hole), 74741 (cross hole), 75348 (cross hole), 87796 (cross hole), 64179 (horizontal round holes), 57028 (cross holes), 64178 (horizontal round holes), 32475, 32476, 61927 (cross holes), 57519 (cross hole), 2444, 55982, and 30155. Parts that allow the stop partway through or allow a cross axle to go in between legal areas (trans-yellow): 32034, 87082, 32014, 41678 (cross holes only), 32016, 32015, 92907 (cross holes only), 53533 (round holes furthest from pin), 6572, 48496 (outer round holes), 87408 (outer round holes), 89650 (outer round holes and cross holes), 32069, 93575, 61054 (outer round holes), 41475 (round hole), 74741 (round hole), 75348 (round hole), 61904, 57796, 87796 (outer round holes), 64179, 64178, 32475, and 57519 (only some round holes?). Brickshelf is down at the moment, and I cannot attach my LXF file directly. I'll try again tomorrow. EDIT: Here's my LXF file. -Toa Of Justice *P.S. 6641 won't let an entire module through its parallel cross hole, but it will do so with its perpendicular cross hole.
  9. I recently mixed up trap door and frame elements--I did not realize there were two different pairs of elements! To prevent further confusion, I have created this handy LXF File with the correct combinations of trap door and frame elements. The older pair (frame 30041 + door 30042) is on the left, in classic dark gray and classic gray, respectively. The newer pair (frame 92107 + door 92099) is on the right, in stone gray and dark stone gray, respectively. -Toa Of Justice
  10. Ah, I understand now. Thank you very much for pointing that out. -Toa Of Justice
  11. I am currently in the middle of another LDD project (oddly enough, it's for one of my college classes), and I discovered a serious bug with the trapdoor (30042) and the trapdoor frame (92107)--they cannot fit together, even if I use a 2x2 tile as a scaffold! LXF File -Toa Of Justice
  12. Your Brickshelf gallery is not yet public. Could you PM me with direct links to each LXF file please? In your Brickshelf gallery, right-click each LXF file, select an option such as "Copy shortcut" or "Copy link address", then paste each link into the message. Thanks in advance. -Toa Of Justice
  13. Normally, I would take multiple screenshots of my LDD MOCs, but taking multiple screenshots for each edit I make based on suggestions would be too tedious for me. Also, almost anyone can view my MOCs from whatever angle they want to using the LXF files. For your MOCs, I'll take up to three screenshots of each one, provided that there aren't any existing published screenshots (I wouldn't want to repeat images). By the way, I should mention that I am in college now, so my time for these things is usually limited, and it may be a while before you get your images. -Toa Of Justice
  14. Nice review, Final Exit! I like how the train tracks were used on the outer edge of the model. I can't believe LEGO made such a mistake regarding the reporter's gender! I really want to hear the alien sound effect, but the video in Flickr won't play for me, in either IE9 or Chrome. Could you upload it to YouTube or some other video site please? Thanks in advance. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: The video plays for me now. The sound is pretty good!
  15. Transparent colors don't look good when rendered in screenshots generated by LDD using Ctrl+K. However, using the "Prt Scrn" key yields better results. It might be just a contrast issue (gray background vs. white background), but I still think there's room for improvement graphics-wise. Here is the LXF file I borrowed a part from to generate the screenshots (I am refraining from posting the pictures directly because if I try to resize them for posting, their transparency would be messed up). -Toa Of Justice
  16. I made my heroes tall to allow for plenty of details to be added, as well as to create a unique appearance that stands out (no pun intended) from normal Heroes. Thanks for the suggestions, but I'd rather not shorten the legs because then my models would be more like BIONICLE sets, with same-length arms and legs. Also, I think I'd rather avoid Rocka's bulky titan design because I fear it would ruin the tall, slender appearance I currently have, especially on Oceana. That design may be OK for Rocka, but I think it would make my creations too robotic-looking. -Toa Of Justice
  17. *Jaw drops* William Schneider is awesome! I really like the details on his crossbow, as well as his translucent armor. I think he could use a shield (perhaps with saw blades like Nex 2.0) in his other hand though. Apart from that, it's excellent! -Toa Of Justice
  18. That is a nice mini car! Also, thanks for the instructions. As for the chassis, at first I thought it was something from a clone brand, but then I remembered these promotional items from McDonald's in 2009. Specifically, that chassis came from the dark red/yellow/black car (the bottom-most car in the picture). -Toa Of Justice
  19. Are these any better? LXF File LXF File -Toa Of Justice

  21. I just realized that FireFlyer needed some easy way of refilling its tanks. Now it has a refill hose that can drink from bodies of water. LXF File -Toa Of Justice
  22. I have recently recolored my MOCs a little bit: LXF File LXF File Please let me know what you think! -Toa Of Justice
  23. I think all of your heroes are awesome! It looks quite complex to me. Nice job! I really like how it's arm-mounted instead of simply replacing a hand (as the official sets tend to do). I look forward to seeing more of your creations, Jagersmann! -Toa Of Justice P.S. In case your Brickshelf folder becomes un-public after adding pictures, here are direct links to the images of your latest hero: Picture 1 Picture 2 Picture 3
  24. Or it might be a "less-than-legal" build. After all, it happened before with a LEGO Club alternate model. -Toa Of Justice
  25. 8070 - Supercar (Custom Chopper Alternate Model [Source PDF]) - Theme: TECHNIC LXF File Errors: I could not find the proper tires. The 19L flexible axle cannot actually flex, so I used the 19L hose instead. Two 3 x 5 liftarms cannot fit where they're supposed to--please see this post for more details. -Toa Of Justice
