Welcome to Eurobricks Def! I'm sure you'll have a great time here, and I look forward to seeing your posts!

That is wonderful with the green moss. It makes the cave much more interesting. You have a good chance I think!

That's absolutely fantastic! I love so many things about this, but it would take ages to name all of them, so I'll just stick with a few. The SNOT water and the nearby dock look great and really give a good feel to the whole thing. I also think your tree on the left side is gorgeous, quite similar to the great looking tree in next year's Medieval Market set. The building is wonderful with all of the little details and fun colors. Nice work on the rocks as well. Brilliant MOC!

I'm very pleased, as last night, in my opinion, something good happened... And because later I'll build some of my Republic Gunship.

The website is nice, but I think we should also post them here. It would be quite easy to post them in both spots. -

I agree that it would look better to have them look all the same, but so far there are quite a few different looking walls. -

I think the brown looks fine! However I don't think brown should be the standard, because it's a much less common color than dk. grey. I don't think having 1 different looking catwalk will be so bad, considering the outer wall sections will all have different details anyway. -
Very nice work on the tree Fat Tony! It's really nice looking and is the one of the best trees I've seen. The way you made the plates curve makes it exciting to look at. Did you put something in there for support? I can't think of anything to improve, since as you said, it's pretty simple. I'm looking forward to seeing your large entry!

Perfect! Great work Pe668, one of my favorite small entries so far.

That's a really creative idea Der Fisken! You have a large amount of gold coins and other treasure. I love the tiny amount of the buried pirate sticking out, as it looks like slowly but surely, the pirate will be crushed! A few improvements you could make are: 1) Your faces look a bit standard... Just joking! Sorry, I couldn't resist! 2) I think that putting some black tiles on the exposed black studs would smooth out the entry nicely. 3) The last thing to change would be to take a new first picture, as that will be the one that is judged. The current one makes it hard to see the pirates with the treasure. Just angle the camera slightly more down than in the first picture. ========================================================================= Your entry is very nice and cruel, plus it's an entertaining concept. Great work!

Come on, finish it! It's looking really nice and I would hate to see it not entered. The red/dark red roof looks stunning, plus the SNOT is great. I assume the cannon in the water is not the finished spot for it?

Thank you (and the other 3 people) very much for voting for me! I'm honored!

Great review ISC! The set is pretty nice, but somehow I feel that it looks sort of.... ugly! I think it's partly because the grey color scheme doesn't reming me of a snowspeeder the way the white one does in the Hoth Rebel Base. However, that doesn't mean that this is a terrible set, in fact I like it quite well, but like you said, LEGO has gone on to make much more detailed sets, and this one doesn't quite compare. You certainly have a nice friend though!

Really nice entry 74louloute! The way you have the man swimming away in the water is a great idea. I also love the guy hiding in the barrel! Your SNOT water is also good, especially with the sloping rocks. A few improvements you could make are: 1) I think putting some tiles on the exposed places such as the top of the grey portion on the fort and on the black prison area, would make it blend in much better with the rest of the entry. 2) Adding some white tiles on the water where it meets the shore would give a good effect of waves. 3) Seeing as the first picture is the one that will be judged, I think it would be wise to take a new one that's just like the second photo you have, but a bit further away so you can see the whole thing better. The current one makes it a bit hard to see everything. =========================================================== These are just minor points though, your entry has a lot of action which makes it very entertaining to look at. Plus, you built it very well. Nice work!

Ohh! That looks great with them put together like that Thrash, and you did a great job with the Alchemist! Now we need to find out how to magically transport our models together.... -

Great work Stol! I love how you made it look like the statue is coming out of the marble. The minifigs also look very appropriate. I agree with ISC that it would be nice to have some dark grey accents in the wall, for some extra detail. Nice job! Same here . I keep meaning to start but I'm still putting the finishing touches on my PtV entries and haven't had much time. I'll get to it eventually though! -
Nice work on your entry RoVer! You managed to fit a lot of things in a small space which makes it fun to look at. It's a bit like reading a story! The design of the buildings is very nice as well. A few improvements you could make are: 1) First of all, You have a pretty large amount of overlap with the palm trees and boat in the front. I would ask a CP staff member to make sure it's not too much, so you don't get disqualified. 2) The green building has a black plate that seems to be 2 studs too long for the spot it's in. Instead of a 1 x 8, I would use a 1 x 6. 3) I think tiling a few more areas would enhance the appearance of your entry quite a bit. Some spots I would tile are: The red roof on the white building, the black roof on the green building and the grey platform with the treasure chest carrying pirate. 4) Adding a small story behind your entry so viewers can understand exactly what's going on would be a wise move. =========================================================== Overall, your entry is fantastic! It has a really fun color scheme, tons of great details and lots of action, which add up to make this a great MOC. Nice work!

That's much better! Great improvements on an already fantastic MOC.

That truly is a stunning minifig! The printing is so detailed and that double sided head is great as well. Like WhiteFang, I'm very curious to see which set this fig will come in. Thanks for posting the pic Metalandi!

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Erdbeereis replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
While I'm still not in love with this line, it's certainly growing on me. The sets don't seem to have quite as much tecnic as I feared, and the minifigs, rock monsters and dynamite are actually looking lovely. I'm seeing a lot of new faces on the figs. This really reminds me of when I first saw Agents pics. I originally hated the way they looked, but then gradually started liking them more and more. -
Welcome to Eurobricks Imperial Brick! I'm sure that you will have a great experience here! Feel free to P.M. me if you need any help.

A hearty welcome to you! I look forward to seeing your posts and getting to know you.

This guy? He seems to be a cowboy, so I guess that makes him a "good guy". Although I suppose a cowboy could be considered a civilian.... Either way, it would work out for what you are planning I think.

Happy birthday! Hope you had a great day! Your birthday is just starting where I live.
