  1. That is a wonderful entry Dreamweb! The SNOT is really well done and the bedroom has lots of interesting details, like the shark and the wonderful clothes hanger. Nice work on the masked killer as well. A few improvements you could make are: 1) Like Zorro and Pr0visorak said, I also think that some more trans-red tiles around the body and bed would be more accurate, and look a lot better. 2) I also think that placing the shark the other way around would give it a more prominent effect. 3) Man, Zorro and Pr0visorak must be on the same brain-wave with me today because we agree on everything! The lanterns look a bit skimpy compared to the big bedroom. I believe though that the palm tree piece wouldn't work here, as the prongs sticking out would prevent it from fitting well in the clip. Instead you could if nothing else put a trans-yellow round 1x1 brick rather than the single stud so it stands out more. 4) It might look good to have some flames coming out of the fireplace. But I may be wrong. 5) Lastly, I think putting some black tiles on the ends of the bed would match the other SNOT nicely. ================================================================== I must say, your entry is brilliant and so far, I think it's my favorite medium entry. Great work!
  2. Stunning work as usual SlyOwl! It's nice to see some space from you for a change, and you've certainly not failed! I love how you incorporated the large trans-blue bubble piece, it fit in really nicely there. You have lots of exciting action going on as well. Great MOC!
  3. That would be a lovely set to make. I would most certainly buy it if it ever came to be.
  4. Thanks for the pictures Lego12! I think I'll going to wait until these come out near me or on S@H to buy them though. I am very excited about all of the new pieces and minifigs. Can't wait to grade your review!
  5. Good entry Infomaniac! I love the SNOT base and the idea is great. The little crow's nest on the mast is also nice looking. My favorite part though is the man's "shirt" on the ground. That's a really creative idea. A few improvements you could make are: 1) Like everyone else has said, some trans-red or plain red pieces around the man would give a nice blood effect. 2) I love the choice of head for the captain, but like Zorro said, he could use some more captain-like accessories, such as epaulettes or a bicorne with skull and crossbones, would make him look much more like a captain. 3) The first picture will be judged, so I would recommend taking one that shows the crow's nest as well, because that is a big part of your entry ============================================================================= Overall though, your entry is amazing! Good minifigs, exciting action and nice SNOT make this very good.
  6. For the courtyard, are there going to be technic holes as well, or will it just rest inside the keep? I must say, this is turning out to be a great project with lots of great modules so far! Nice work everyone and thanks again ISC for the brilliant idea!
  7. Sounds good! So then if one module has 2 builders like the butcher and jeweler will now, will the community vote on which to include? What are the specifications of the courtyard going to be? I'll probably start on that once I know.
  8. Alright, here are a few things that I want to add to my builds: 1) Butcher 2) Courtyard 3) Jeweler And then I'll try the kitchen sometime as well. Since Thrash made such a great Jester's joke shop, you can take my name off of that.
  9. I thought that often old buildings like this had crosses on them, but I may be wrong. There was also a small empty space there that I wanted to fill. Like I said, I might still add a chimney. Great work on the falconer Lalande!
  10. Beautiful MOC DNL! I love the overgrown forest look that it has and the fortress is very well-designed. One of my favorite parts are the spears in the wood, they really add a lot. Your rocks are also stunning, I like how you combined grey and dark grey. Great work!
  11. Stunning work on the minis! They all look very accurate . I also added you to my Flickr contacts.
  12. Only a moderator can change the name of a thread.
  13. That looks great with the battle scene! Nice work.
  14. The frontpage post really stirred up some interest didn't it! To all of the new people that are interested: If you are doing one of the outer buildings, the requirements are all on the first post of the thread. ================================================================= As for the keep modules, perhaps we should update the first page with the keep's requirements. Jifel, I Scream Clone will put you on one of the teams. You can go ahead and start building now though.
  15. That's all right Thrash, I may still build one, but I'll work on something else first. I'll check out the list and then decide. Your troll embassy is wonderful! Your a EBCCB machine!
  16. I would also love to see a review! This is such exciting news isn't it?
  17. Nice entry Deathdog! It has plenty of action and great SNOT water. My favorite part is the boats being loaded up with goods. Some improvements you could make are: 1) The first picture in the post is the one that will be judged, so I would take one that shows the whole entry better. It's always good to have one overview picture to get a good feel of the whole thing. 2) A lot of the faces on the pirates don't look very mean and nasty. If you have a few more angry-type faces to replace some of the smiley ones, it would be much better. 3) You probably don't have enough tiles to cover all of the streets, but you could at least put some grey ones on the railing by the water. 4) Adding a few dead soldiers or people with blood around them, would give the entry a really big boost in the pillage area. 5) I kind of mentioned this is the first comment, but your buildings look excellent from the small amount I can see in the close-ups, so I think it would be good to have a picture where you can see them a bit better. ================================================================ Overall though, fantastic work! You've really captured the feel of the contest well, while still having plenty of detail. Great job!
  18. I love the name! Can't wait to see it!
  19. ISC, do you mind changing my name from "Erbeereis1" to "Erdbeereis1"? I'm assuming it was just a typo. I guess since Thrash already made the jester's joke shop, you can take my name off for that one...
  20. Welocme to the best website in the universe! I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself!
  21. Welcome to Eurobricks! You've come to the right place!
  22. Nice review ISC! This certainly is a massive set with many great features and minifigs. I especially love the prison block.
  23. Hopefully they will be released widely at that time as well. At least they should be on S@H before Christmas.
  24. I would imagine that you would give them your credit card number. I can't decide if I should phone over and get them now, or be a reasonable person and wait...
  25. That's a stunning mansion Paul Cantu! The design of it looks great and really looks like an olden day villa. As for the placement of the battle, are you planning to add another baseplate on which the battle will take place? If you don't it may become a bit cramped. I think the battle would look best in the front of the building, so it looks like the pirates are fighting their way to the front doors. Some things you could do to make it look even better: 1) If you have enough, it would look great to put black tiles on the roof for a smoother look. 2) On the back railing, you have grey tile on the railing. I think it would look better if they were black or white, to match the rest of the building. ========================================================= So far, you entry looks beautiful and I greatly look forward to seeing the final version with the battle.
