Great review as always, svelte_corps! I'm quite interested in getting this set, it has a lot of useful parts for landscaping and I like the colours. The greatest thing about the set however is the troll sorceress I'm really happy that no sand green is shown on the torso so it can be used for yellow minifigs too. The dress have a striking resemblance with reconstructed stone age clothing from an excavated site near my place. Prehistoric MOCs on! I also think a "above average" is a fair grade for this set. Not as good as Drawbridge Defence but better than King's Battle Chariot.

Well, it's not much I put some on the baseplate to make some elevation, but it's not many plates and therefore it's not easy to see. I don't know why I wrote it in the first post, maybe it was unnecessary But I'm happy you liked the MOC anyway

Thank you everyone for your nice comments I put some foliage at the dead tree to see how it looked and it wasn't bad. But I still prefer the original look (And besides that I don't own very many foliage pieces so if I was to put some on the dead tree the others would look a little bare too...) Ah, you mean something like this : I actually had that idea from the start but I wanted to use the custom weapons and shields from BrickForge I won in the Community Castle Build Contest and those came in my mail box yesterday. Yes, it works great as a soldier IMO. I've used it in my swedish carolean army here: Regarding the rip in his shirt, I find that just more realistic Being a soldier isn't an easy way of living. I would really like if TLG made some dirty and tattered uniforms in the future.
