  1. Violence in MOCs are totally accepted to me, I rather go for realism than cartoonish violence when I build my MOCs. Every builder has their own view of violence and should build after that. LEGO is a great way to picture all kinds of art, disturbing and non-disturbing. No one should restrict that possibility. BUT, violence in official sets is something totally different in my opinion. While MOCers build for their own purpose, TLG design their sets to sell them to, mainly, kids. That means TLG has some responsibility for what they produce and shouldn't make sets that too violent, religious, political, racist or xenophobic. So, I think LEGO violence is OK when pictured as art (which MOCs are IMO) but not OK when done to make money from it.
  2. Very nice! Thanks for teaching us some local history. I've found it very hard to make MOC's about real historical events because I always find myself looking for a minifig piece I don't have (or haven't been made). But it's very fun to build those kind of MOC's and I think you did a great job, I especially like the pediment over the entrance to the building. Nice SNOT
  3. Beautiful! Excellent job michaelozzie, the details of your custom soldiers are amazing Very good job with those strings, works perfectly
  4. Thanks for the information about the prices, Navy Trooper Fenson! I guess I will be able to get the Green Toy Soldiers and maybe Woody's Round-up (lots of good parts in great colours but the minifigs are holding me back). The rest I don't care about I rather save my money for the PoP theme which seems to be epic
  5. The Lady's rank seems to be missing in the new update. Maybe someone should fix it before any women notice it
  6. I too order my second-of-the-month Bricklink order today Two large green baseplates, lots of green plates and other useful stuff. I really like to buy just the pieces I need and not spend my money on sets that just have a few useful pieces. Maybe not so nice to TLG but since they doing so well I guess they can survive with out me
  7. I really don't understand this jealousy that some members express in this topic. If some fellow Lego fan don't get the chance to pick up a certain set, why would you get happy about it? Why can't we try to cooperate together against TLG and convince them that sets only released in specific countries are a very bad idea and make sure they are available everywhere? Sure, Americans have a lot of benefits when it comes too LEGO compared to the rest of the world, but you can't blame the Americans for that, can you? TLG makes the decision, not they. PS: If any American is interested in getting the advent calender I can help, but Lego is quite expensive here in Sweden. The UK and the €-countries are much cheaper so you might want to consider that as a better option.
  8. The pirate advent calender should of course be available in all areas, I sign!
  9. Great work as usual SlyOwl I'm really impressed about the outside, the cliff is fantastic and all the bushes looks great. The inside is good too with a lot of excellent techniques but I have some problem understanding what's going on The bird cage is one of my favourite details, good thinking there.
  10. PM sent!
  11. Here my favourite top 5 MOCs: What if...? by Der Seb SCAT - Scout Trooper Assault Tank by Commander Tac Death Star by Baronsat F-Wing by Rook Endor by Mutley777 It was fun to watch through all the great MOCs, it sure gave me a lot of good ideas
  12. 8 of these: For my Carolean army, their numbers will be doubled when I've got this BrickLink order And I also bought some sand blue bricks and plates, cool minifig heads and some other stuff.
  13. the first from the left is something... Most probably from the Atlantis theme since it looks like a diver.
  14. Nice use of those Bionicle masks, works great as some kind of prehistoric monster cranium Very good job!
  15. Time for an update! Almost all of the minifigs are gone now, thanks everyone that have traded with me. Now I only have Agent Trace left (I discovered a small scratch on Agent Chase's head, right over his mouth, so I withdraw him from the list). If you're interested in trading, please send me a PM and tell we what you have to offer. I've listed some stuff I'm interested in at the beginning of the topic but I'm open for other suggestions too. Get her while you can!
  16. +1 to Holodoc Thanks for a great trade!
  17. I don't think that's a big problem, it's just two clicks away... Besides, if this index was pinned all others would be too and that would be to much I think. Now we have one pinned topic were we can access all the important index topics and easily navigate and I think that works fine
  18. The options are SO American! I didn't knew of half of the them that Lt. Col. Thok listed, and when I looked them up they certainly didn't looked like anything I want to eat for breakfast I'll stick with these: Swedish crispbread ftw!
  19. Välkommen! Always nice with more Swedish Lego fans around here, make sure to check out SweBrick as well, a Lego forum in Swedish! At the moment we're planning a meeting in Fagersta the first weekend of November Enjoy your stay at Eurobricks!
  20. Yes, tricorns for the people! I prefer tricorns over shakos so this is a very interesting set for me. As for the lower quality I don't find it too alarming. IMO the differences are very small so I don't care that much. I might however wait some time before I get this set, it would be nice if it came out on 50% sale as the castle one did
  21. +1 for Polish Guy All fine and a great trade
  22. Well, not without LUG because that is what it's all about. It's like Pick-A-Brick for LUGs (LEGO User Groups) but with a much wider selection. There are some rules to clarify what your LUG has to do to be able to use this service, and there are some rules about how to use the service.
  23. They weren't in mine. But I bought it in January so perhaps it has changed.
  24. I don't think "expert" must mean something big. They just want someone to build something cool, small or big, in front of the camera. Expert in this case doesn't mean a professional or something like that, just someone that is good enough at building to show on TV. I don't think I'm interested, but hopefully there is someone else that is.
  25. Very nice, Hound Knight! The decals are awesome, I especially like the frontier scout's. I would love to see a MOC with these guys
