Wow, really good work Klaus-Dieter! It's a very big MOC and really well done. I really like how you have managed to include so much details but still keep the simple style of classic town. Truly impressive! The auditorium is just lovely and I especially like the cloakroom and stage direction. The outside is a little boring and maybe it could be improved with a big brick built sign or a mosaic on the wall. But on the other hand it's quite realistic with the big plain walls, surprisingly that's how many theatres look like on the outside despite their often much more interesting inside. Once again, great work!

Really interesting project! It certainly will take a lot of time, effort and money to complete it but I would very much like to see it Your tan slopes problem seems to be a difficult one, Sandy's suggestion is a really good one though. I was going to suggest this piece: But when I checked on BrickLink the highest quantity that it was sold in was only 12... But good luck, it's a great project!

Now taking YOUR ideas for the future of LEGO Pirates theme
Etzel replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Of course pirates boarded other pirate's ships. To state that they never did that is just rubbish because pirates have existed in thousands of years we can not know for certain all what they did in these years. But to say that they had some "code" that they followed is much more POTC to me than that they did attack each other. Sure, some might have had a code but by far from all pirates had one. Well, TLG's main target is kids aka. young pirate fans... Imperials might be popular amongst AFOLs but for kids I believe it's the pirates that are most important in the theme. If TLG comes up with two clearly different pirate factions (e.g. ghost pirates vs. regular pirates) I think it has as good chances of being a successful theme for the kids as the current one. But personally I prefer the pirate vs. soldiers theme so don't give them this idea, Bonaparte -
Really good! That Monstosaurus looks very evil and terrifying with all those spikes and blood dripping teeth. The car is also nice but a little dull with that colour. I think some lime green and orange would "spice" it up a bit So much lovely details on the scene, nice work! Oh, and that Legosaurus Brix is just filled with great uses of parts. Sabres as claws, hands as spikes and minifig legs as arms. Brilliant!

Great news! I'm sure you will do a terrific job. Congratulations Svelte! ps. keep those jack in boxes coming

Yes, I've read about that. But I don't think it's that bad. I have the second vol. and although the red is slightly different I think it's good enough, at least for me . I've not seen any signs of them being weaker or having worse gripping ability either.

I've must have missed that I will surely include this one in my next order It's available in all countries except USA and Canada. I'm sure you will have it too soon

That headpiece must have been made for this purpose

What happened with Vol. 3? I haven't seen that one on S@H yet either. But nice find, I will get that one when it's on S@H.

I've just discovered my lack of knowledge in both the English and German language Would someone care to explain what a runabout/Stadtflitzer is? Maybe show a picture too? Thanks

Nice work with those MOCs! I really like the first one with the dwarf train since I recently made one myself (see my signature ). The bridge is very well done

From the new camper set, 7639 (it's a sticker btw)

Fantastic work! Not only are all the buildings extremely well built with many details but it also depict a very interesting and important subject. I find it very brave to take on the challenge to build a scene that contains sensitive questions and present the final result in such great way! I really like the looks on the damaged houses, all those bullet holes, barricaded windows and the election(?) posters are great details. The use of the truck cover from the IJ set at the house under construction is pure win. Wow, I really got inspired from looking at your creation, I want to build something similar too now! PS. Welcome to EuroBricks Ezechielle, you sure made a great entrance!

I'm not much into Star Wars BUT if we get a pregnant Padme I would surely buy the set it comes with But all the other alternatives is good too, just bring us more female minifigs TLG!

Very good! The drill is superb with those SNOT-techniques It's nice to see someone else making castle-fications of sets from other themes, it often turns out good

Thanks everyone! She might have to wrinkle her dress a little.

Do not litter! You'll piss someone off... Thanks for watching /Etzel

Outstanding work, PrinceWilliam! I really like how you did the interior in the train cars. You managed to fit in so many amazing details in such small space, I'm truly impressed! My favourite is the sleeping/shop-car, very cool!

The different prices on LEGO in the US vs. Europe
Etzel replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
But my question was why licensed set was so much more expensive? I know USA has cheaper prices in general but this was different I think. -
I really like the different theme month that we have had here on EuroBricks so far. Train month seems to be just as good (if not better) that the rest of them. But how was I supposed to participate in this I asked myself when the news was announced? I don't own any train related LEGO and although I really admire all the great train MOCs I've seen here on EB and elsewhere, I don't have enough interest in it to start buying (often very expensive) train sets to build with. But then it struck me, I do have something that looks a little train related, the mining carts from 7036 Dwarves' Mine. And the building began... Here it is, the Dwarf Train with train station: Here we have the station by itself. The passengers are waiting for the train to arrive. There's a noble lady and the dwarf king. The crates to the right is filled with precious gems that are to be delivered to the big castle. On the balcony there is a dwarf watch keeper. And here we have the train by itself. A small but strong engine that pulls the train through the mountains. The dwarf engineer has to keep his beard short to make sure it doesn't hinder him in his work. Here you might see that the wheels on the engine doesn't touch the ground. This, however isn't a problem when the train is on the tracks. Unfortunately I only had enough wheels to build the steam engine and one passenger car. I would have loved to built a whole train with lots of different cars but that how LEGO works. You never have enough bricks Brickshelf gallery when public I hope it's OK that I posted this creation in the Train Tech forum. I know it's more Castle themed but it was meant to be a part of the train month so I figured this was the place. Mods and Admins, feel free to move it if you disagree Thank you for watching! Train on! /Etzel

Cool find! But somebody has already posted a topic about it: LINK

I think that differs very much from person to person actually. I never keep my sets built longer than a month (mostly just a few days), that is because I love to build MOCs and want to make my own models. Some big sets are perfect parts pack, like 7094 King's Castle Siege. I don't feel like I'm "wasting the effort" LEGO put in to design the sets, after all I use the parts therefore I use the set To me LEGO's main purpose is to be built with and therefore I see no reason for my sets to stay the way LEGO made them. For me the main problem is to decide if a set contains enough useful parts to be worth to buy, not if it looks nice.

I see, thanks for explaining blueandwhite. Do you, or anyone else, know why licensed sets are cheaper in North America? -
The different prices on LEGO in the US vs. Europe
Etzel replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm not normally the person who complains about having to pay much more for the LEGO sets then people in other countries. I live in a country with high VAT and other taxes and I'm happy about that. But today I got a little confused I've just bought the new Indy set 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle in a local toy store here in Sweden. The price was 349 SEK just like at S@H which I thought was expensive but I boought it anyway because I really wanted the cool cemetery warriors. After I built it I logged in to EB and re-read the great review that Svelte made for the set to see if we had the same conclusions about the set. Then I saw that the price in $ was only 19.99 which to me looked very cheap. A quick calculation with the current exchange rate showed me this: Price in Sweden: 349 SEK = $47.42 Price in USA: $19.99 = 136,19 SEK That means the price in USA is less than 2/5 of what we pay in Sweden Is there a reason for this enormous difference or is it just the way economy goes? I really didn't think the difference would be that high... -
Today I bought 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle. It's very overpriced but I really wanted those cemetery warriors and there is a lot of useful parts in this set. The day before yesterday I bought 7197 Venice Canal Chase which was a much better buy in my opinion. I now got the three smallest sets from the second wave of IJ LEGO this year and I think it will stop there. Temple of Doom has great minifigs but is very expensive. I just hope I can find the figs for a reasonable price on BrickLink or elsewhere. EDIT: I just realized that the price for 7196 in USA is about 2/5 of the price here in Sweden I know that we here in Sweden have high VAT (25%) but this seems to be something else because I've never seen this big difference in price before. I guess I should have looked this up before...
