  1. Great to see you're back in business again, Sandy! It was really fun to read about the things that happened before Princess Quest even though we already knew how it would end I'm very curious about those clues you left in the 11th and 32nd picture. I have an idea but I'm not sure yet... I really like your characters, they are easily recognized and all have different personalities that makes it really fun to watch and read. Great job! Looking forward to the next episode.
  2. Thanks for those fantastic pics, Forcemaster! A new arch piece, nice! Such amazing details on the minifigs, incredible! I'm just a little disappointed that they are light flesh instead of just flesh like many of the Indiana Jones figures are, but that's just a tiny detail.
  3. There are pictures here already
  4. Thank you everyone for your nice comments! I wasn't clear over what to build when I begun and I made the whole landscape first and tried a couple of other things first before I decided for the runestone idea. I liked the Viking theme too, it was the theme that ended my dark age with all those great minifigs! I wish the theme hadn't focused so much on the human vs. beast concept and instead made it like a traditional castle theme with two rivalling factions. I think it could have lasted longer then. Anyway, thanks again. I'm happy that you liked my MOC /Etzel
  5. You're right. Forcemaster confirms it in this topic. I had no idea of what those trans-yelllow bricks were (never played any PoP game ). Not sure which one is the Vizier but it doesn't matter, all are great IMO
  6. What the h*** are they doing to that poor rock/lava monster?!
  7. Do you really think it's gold? Looks more like dark orange to me when you compare it with the cones in front.
  8. I agree! I don't buy Power Miners because I don't like the vehicles and colour scheme but the designers should have credit for some really nice ideas. I like the concept of the miners going deeper and deeper and adjusting themselves to the new problems they encounter, like new heat-protected suits and using cold water to fight the rock monsters.
  9. Thanks Tinn-man! That set looks awesome! Huge amount of regular pieces in cool colours! I don't even mind the big stupid saw wheel when it's so much other good pieces. It's a shame that they are using the troll sword as scimitars in this theme also (like in IJ), the old one from Orient Expedition is so much better IMO. The minifigs look great though, 3 new headgear and detailed printings on both torso and legs. I wonder if this is 7572 Race against time or 7573 Battle of Alamut? I would guess the latest, the other set names doesn't fit so well. Now I know what theme to spend my money on when Pirates no longer is.
  10. Runestones were erected for many different reasons, it could be a memory for someone that had died, in battle or on a travel, or it could be a declaration of conversion too Christianity. Some people even put up runestones to brag about how good they were, e.g. like this: "Vigmund had this stone carved in memory of himself, the cleverest of men." But a lot of runestones were also erected besides bridges to tell who had made them: The runestone would have looked so much better if there really was runes on it, I know . I can't print decals otherwise I would have made one. Ah well, you will have to use your imagination You can't build a Viking MOC without including ravens, the raven was a sacred bird for the Vikings. Odin, the chief god in the old Norse paganism had two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, that flew around the world to gather news for the god. Thanks for watching!
  11. Välkommen till Eurobricks! I hope you will enjoy the stay here with us. (Är det du som är few92 på SweBricks forum? Om inte så borde du bli medlem och träffa fler svenska LEGO-fans, länk finns i min signatur.)
  12. A good thing about building a wall with 1x2s is that you can slightly bend the wall so it gets a curved form, like this: When you do this the edges of the bricks is more visible and gives a nice texture to the wall. But it has it's disadvantages too, like the problem to connect it smoothly with the ground and other walls...
  13. Nice! Last years contest was a great success, thanks for bringing it back! I hope we will see some cruel works :pir-skull: I will enter for sure!
  14. This is one of the most interesting themes in 2010 in my opinion. I eagerly awaits some pictures of the sets I quoted some PoP pictures that was in the Toy Story topic, they belong better here I think:
  15. Quoted from the annoncement topic: I think that settles it
  16. Happy birthday to all of you! I hope you're having a good time
  17. Look at this picture, here it looks like the ruins are the biggest set.
  18. Thanks! Yeah, the flag would probably look better tiled but I don't have the pieces A custom made flag is a good option and might look better than a brickbuilt one but I'm trying to stay purist Nah, it wasn't that hard, I've already found it on an online shop but I don't want to spend that much money on it (can't cut back on my LEGO budget you know ). I rather just rent it if I find it. A brickfilm isn't a bad idea I've always found LEGO films very interesting but apart from some bad attempts from my childhood I've never actually tried it before. It's an option but I'm not promising anything.
  19. Ouch! Another serious strike at my already hurt LEGO heart What's up with TLG? No Pirates, no IJ (probably) and instead we getting this crap?! I guess the good years is over... I really don't like these sets. Big, red technique vehicles with huge engines and a colour scheme that is just boring. And I don't even like the minifigs that many others seems to do, they just looks weird to me. Of course it might be some nice elements that can be useful but that certainly isn't enough for me to buy any of these sets. I'll pass on this theme, just as I did with Power Miners.
  20. I really should! I've wanted to see that film since you gave me the tip about it in my other topic but I haven't found it yet. I've seen some clips on YouTube though, it looks great (even if the Swedish voices are ridiculous ). I will intensify my searching for now on.

Thanks for those pictures Kanal-K1, make sure to post the link in this topic, New Theme, "Atlantis", too.
  22. Long time since anyone posted here but I refuse to let this project die Here is my latest module, a regular house for a middle-aged couple: Keep fighting for the survival of EBCCB!
  23. It's been almost three months since anyone posted in this topic, does that mean the Community Castle Build is dead? No, of course not! I present this 16x16 module to you, a nice little living house (to few of them in the castle so far I think): More pictures will be found in the Team Beta topic soon Now get on building some more modules people! This is a too good project to be abandon.
  24. Hi all, my Swedish 18th century Carolean army continues to grow and now it consists of 16 soldiers and 1 officer. I've shown these soldiers before in this topic and in the army index but this MOC is much bigger than the previous ones so I figured it could have an own topic Here it is, my Carolean army marching through the woods (sorry for the bad lightning): I think I soon will begin with a big project, making the Battle of Poltava in LEGO Thanks for looking!
