This is my favourite minifig from the first series. The total look is great and I love the hair+beard piece. Thanks for showing the head, it looks very useful that too. I guess I could use this minifig in some fantasy MOC but it's also something I actually could have displayed for some time (very unusual for me ). Thanks for the review, ZeeK!

Nice work! Great to see that someone else is into this area too, I hope to finish my own Chinese MOC soon. I agree with Admiral M and like how you used the colour scheme from the original sets with tan, red black and a touch of sand green, it really work well. The foliage outside the wall looks really good and the flat sloping roof fits good on the wall and the building. Keep up the good job!

There are no elephants in LotR, only Mûmakils And we already got elephants from the Orient Expedition theme, although some more wouldn't be bad I suppose.

Congratulations on finding the cheerleader, CopMike! It's one of my favourites from the first series as well. But it's a little cruel to tease us with those pictures months before we can get the figures ourself Of course you can't tell the content by the number on the bag. Then the whole idea with random content wouldn't work, TLG isn't totally stupid.

The dragon knights do not need a leader, they are an anarcho-syndicalist commune that take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week. But all the decision of that officer have to be ratified at a special biweekly meeting by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs, but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more serious matters.

Comunidade0937 Official Deck [1st Serie]
Etzel replied to marcosbessa's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's so cool! A very nice thing to do with your community, all the cards look awesome. -
Thanks for the info roamingstudio. Here is the picture of the Magnet set, I don't think we have seen it before: I hope it won't take long before the sets are available in the rest of the world.

I agree, it's great for everyone that wants a cheap way to get pigs. I'm not interested in the tractor or shed in the 7684, just the pigs

I totally agree with you SWMAN. When the Fantasy Era came out I was really excited, it was the kind of Castle theme that I had waited for since the early 90's. That was IMO the real transformation back to the classic castle style, not this years Kingdoms that just looks like a continuation of the Fantasy Era (but with out skeletons, trolls and dwarfs). Since I loved the Fantasy Era I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the Kingdoms too but I'm not as excited about it like as was when FE came since it's more or less the same theme in my eyes.

Lego sets you can't build without damaging the bricks
Etzel replied to David Thomsen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Honestly I think you're being overly picky. Such small scratches and marks are so tiny and insignificant that it doesn't make any difference to the function or look of the pieces IMO. I rather have bricks with scratches than just bricks sitting on display never to be played with. And flexible tubes are flexible, just bend them back to the shape you want them in, it's not that hard. -
AFOLs contribute a little under 5% of LEGO sales
Etzel replied to Rick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I was also thinking the percent would be higher, only 5% isn't very good I think. We AFOLs need to take action! We must immediately stop the parents who buy LEGO for their kids and convince them to keep them they self. After all LEGO is, as we all know, an adult toy and should not be in hand of an irresponsible child! -
A great set that I'm going to buy when it's available here. Although I fear that the price will be quite a lot more than the US price as always. Speaking of price, the € price you wrote seems to be quite off, 23.60? I guess you converted the Danish kroner price to Euro but the LEGO prices are usually higher in Denmark than the Euro-lands. This will probably be 19.90€, I think. I really like the minifigs in this set. Everyone is great but the sheik is my favourite, love that torso, head and dark tan turban The parts in the set looks mostly good but are a little few IMO. The new medium nougat colour gives me different feelings, on one hand it looks like a very nice colour that could be useful in landscapes and buildings, but on the other hand I would prefer a more limited colour palette with more parts in the already existing colours. I believe that for example, Dark orange would have worked well in these sets instead of putting money for making a new colour. I will have to wait and see what price this set will get in my country before I vote, but it will probably be a 4 or a 5.

Ah, now I see. I guess I read too fast.

Yeah, I think Ras' idea was that all the Event 2010 bricks would have the same colour but since he is keeping what colour he has choose secret we who send 4 bricks might get another colour on ours. But anyway... I'm not caring that much. I should probably just shut up and do as I'm told and everything will work out fine

I'm sorry, but to me it still isn't super clear I want a complete new Name badge and I understand that I should send my 2 1x8 bricks to Matija. But then Matija wrote that it would be good if we (who want the whole badge) should sent 4 1x8 bricks (2 for the name and 2 for the Event Logo etc.). But we don't know what colour the Event Logo-bricks will be so that might be difficult to do

LOL You are a serious AFOL, Polish Guy! Do you think you will be welcome back to that store? Anyway, congratulations on getting those sets so early.

Looks a bit uncomfortable with a chain as belt! This set isn't anything special to me, an average set that has it's pros and cons. I like the new colour for the helmet and the there are some useful parts like the dark green cheese slopes. I don't like that the soldier doesn't get a shield, it would have been a much better army building set if a shield was included. And I was kind of hoping for a new head, nothing wrong with this one but I already have like 5 of them from the Pirate theme. If there was a poll for this set (hint hint ) I would have voted a 3 out of 5.

I don't have a name brick so I would like the whole package. Just let me know where to send those 1x8's
-
Thanks for those pics Hun! They look OK to me, just about what I expected. I hope they won't just be S@H exclusives as the previous ones From what I've heard these battle packs might be available a little bit earlier than the rest of the sets, maybe sometime in the summer.

I'm interested in this one. Thanks

I actually thought it was a digital MOC from LDD when I saw it first. It looks so clean and the photo is great! It sure could use some landscaping and small touches but I really like it now too. It fits very well in with the Fantasy-era (if the crownies are Christians that is ). I don't agree with Athos about the roof, I think it looks very good even without any overhang. I've seen a lot of churches where the roof have ended just by, or just slightly after the wall, and if you don't want to use a half-stud offset (which would complicate the whole building) I think this is a good solution.

Yeah, those are nice : I got these two on my package. Thanks for the minifigs CopMike! I got them some weeks ago and I'm really happy to have some of the rare ones.

I bought a XL gray baseplate today. My first one actually, so now I can start building extra large MOCs too

Sets ain't nothing but pieces! (Piece it out for MOC building)

They were sighted in a store at the Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen according to this post.
