[MOC] McLaren Senna Sabre
1gor replied to JamesJT's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
James is there any modern (or post ww2 classic) sports car that you do not know how to replicate? Based on parts available IMHO great MOC (yet again). -

@pdw I have reinforced bracing on 16 tooth gear and I think now it is stiff enough. Different solution like yours would require complete front chassis overhaul... Since I have found some half an hour time there is also battery box in place...- 625 replies

Thanks @pdw it is impressed how you put two servos inside. Usually I use liftarms for bracing (as you can see on my Fastrac). I'll see if I can make something better for bracing similar to yours, but my model has one stud shorter wheelbase... First I have to find time for building...- 625 replies

Mid model is my favorite. You have implemented very original solutions in mid size model (mid size between yours 3 MOCs) -

It is connected with axle joiner perpendicular and with axle with stop, so it is ok (I assume you think about gear 16 tooth to 20 tooth bevel gear)...- 625 replies

A little progress this weekend, but still a long way to go (specially when one IR receiver stopped working few days ago ). This (a bit) optimized version should use one servo, one L-motor and 3 medium motors. So far it looks like this @functionalTechnic I have just uploaded some more images. This one has one stud shorter wheelbase than yours. Most likely I'll use fishertechnic tires; found store half an hour from me for some 1.5€ ... And I try to make a room for legs in cab... Thanks for compliment- 625 replies

42120 Hovercraft
1gor replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If you look at the second image you'll see blue 3l pin that is just in front of black double bevel gear at the top (not the one moving sideways) and I think curved panel is just popped up to show the gear that could be pushed with fingers to the right or left (below panel). Of course I could be wrong, but it is the way I think it is... I understand that you mean it was drawn just lower part... -

I think it is connected with blue 3l pin in-between two 3 x 5 bent liftarms -

But that was mostly on special Carrera RS 2.7 liters engine in 1973 (if my memory still works) and not on turbo or traga; but I could be wrong since my info is for German and Austrian market... Still I think your proposal / idea is better for nature of earlier Porsches (not to mention real Porsches with air cooled engine)- 5,504 replies

The only thing that I do not like is just one small yellow panel...but otherwise it's cool set -

On the first look B model looks like some classis first quarter 20th century plane -
Simon, Glad to hear that JCB Loadall is still assembled; my is under way (just need to make space for legs in cab full of IR receivers). Next week should tires (80mm) arrive and I'll see how it looks with them, since 68.7 looks to me that it has not enough ground clearance... Regards Igor

When I do that It does not work, so I'll try mounting XL motor directly on axle and make 6 x 2 (when I finish ongoing projects)... Thanks -
I saw it yesterday and must say beautiful loader. I just hope JCB Loadall is not disassembled...

It drives very smooth. How did you achieve that with XL motors -

You're right. IMHO people are to much possessed with money and invent everything to make things collectible objects to gain more money. As time passes by it looks like in today's " liberal" world there is no value just price for everything- 5,504 replies

Agree; instead crankshaft part to have half a stud difference this part would be better choice https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6575#T=C ...but he gave me an idea for future...hm if I do not decide to make pf RC truck...
