  1. ...after reading all posts perhaps we should lower our expectations...remember that Lego introduces minimal ammount of new parts as possible. When Jeep was announced and puctures with new tractor tires appeared we were thrilled with set snd st end it was just that - new tires...perhaps Bronco has only rear wheel drive... ...as usuall @R0Sch will solve mistery...
  2. Well, I'm trying to fit a scale as best as possible, but very often I miss for ½ stud, so I have to re-re-redisign it...example is that now front axle will have only one stud suspension travel to enable reasonable steering angle...in reality in the meantime I spent time to fix PF motirs cables and find part for stairs in my inventory...I had lots of work on my job (and in the meantime I made kind of Claas Dominator to fit a scale, but it ended up to be a Trion 5 series combine harvester instead ewithout some 10 parts that I have to find in my inventory). Lots of time I was waiting for small suspension arms from Formula 1 sets...and still need some connevtors in right color (black) I'll make it (someday), but I got constantly disteacted and deconcentrated by unplanned circumstances...and I'm not the one who spents my all free time in company of bottle of beer or something like that... Kind regards Johannes
  3. Why not, you are always welcome. If Lego could make red big sprotkets, I could make one in 1:18 scale to fit other (upcoming) models
  4. A little update to JCB Fastrac since you all discouss about Volvo, Ford Bronco, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini etc... ...chassis is slowly taking shape despite "music" from nearby pesants playing with chsinsaw, repeating the same (music) Bar over and over again; no wonder my pets start to bite themselves... ...anyway I'm trying to enjoy sunny weather and try to build Fastrac as much as possible...
  5. Yes, both seems to be about 15 studs wide; actually 42175 is 15 studs wide and rlevtric liafer has 13 studs wide bonnet and tires are a bit wider
  6. And it looks like new 5L beam with alternate holes over rear wheel (I hope that it is not 5 x 3 L beam with alternate holes that we allready have) Yes, it looks so...
  7. Triangle panels? Firstly they are usefull so you dont't have wired steps on your model like cab on 42053 set (the only false imho), second this helps a lot someone like me who don't like stickers to enable making more realistic shapes than before...
  8. Short suspension arms at the front from F1 cars and AWD means short universal or CV joints, or shorter axle like on Ford GT that futs CV joints. Only side line is wired...
  9. Good start for those who need panels, gears and daytona differentials
  10. Yes, it looks like good parts pack. It has light bluish gray 9L beams with alternate holes...
  11. I can only repeat that. @Nura extraordinary build.
  12. Long ago I've tried to replicate it in smaller scale here. Perhaps if could help you.
  13. Like cool 1932 Ford A model based hotrod...only thing that I could wish is this kind of front axle It is instantly recognizable
  14. Somehow barrel piece on front wheel looks almost like Fred Flintstone made it... IMHO this part suits better
  15. Perhaps @Mechbuilds can use suspension like on Ford GT 42154 set?
  16. It looks so clean and simple. Very very nice.
  17. I'm constantly looking how to enforce my chassis with frames...don't want to mention how often I needed 15 x 7 "O" shape frame with no reinforcement (in black)...axles are no diffetence; the stiffer the better (and conoact as possible). The only drawbacks are that I need to make steering rack that don't colide with shicks, and pin mounting part on hub reduction is always in the way if something...
  18. Buggy motor is stronger than two coupled XL motors (I had combination with XL motors - upgearing 40 to 24 toord and 20 to 28 (gray differentials) and hub refuction). There is also a problem that I need some space and I can not reinforce chassis below XL motors, but can under buggy motor... In reality XL motors are a bit more efficient (please look at Philo's home 9V motors), Buggy motor is stronger, but needs powersource like BuWizz to show it's potential. Besides I have 8421 set and always wanted to use Buggy motor for something
  19. As you can see, I've made some changes; thanks to short suspension arms from 42206 & 42207 set I can use Daytona diffefentials which was my goal (together with buggy motor and reduction hubs usage). Buggy motor will be powered by BuWizz and whole drivetrain would have 8 ->28; then 14 -> 22 and hub reduction which will enable some 125Ncm torque at axles and still (for tractor) reasonable). speed (specially in ludicrous mode). In order to make biggest possible steering angle 6L links are as close as possible to ball joint. So far chassis looks sturdy enough and I have made accessoble place for BuWizz battery box. I still need some ftont axle optimisation. ...partial bottom view... ...and partial bootom view with tires prepaired... As always comments are welcome.
  20. That was my first thought. @Maaboo the Witch thanks for Volvo L120 image from side.
  21. Box dimensions? It has 973 pieces...or is it made like this years dump truck - hollow? ...it is BTW the most interesting set for me this year...
  22. If you mean John Deere skidder, than not because Volvo (based on parts count) will be much smaller set...IMHO with 81.5mm tires from Audi, or even much smaller
  23. I woild be happy if there was a possibility to have reduction hub with housing introduced with Audi
