Exactly Paul, but real Porsche has 7 speed (If someone did not port this info yet) One question - any Idea what steering angle would It have when wheels are driven? -

I hope so, but yesterday I realize that I had to redesign central part and put central differential in in and whole linkage for steering something like on Barman's Xerion steering interpretation. Only difference is that I use 94.8 X 44 tires (the one from crawler), so chassis should be as narrow as possible I know that, but this image was just meant to help other builders if they want to do something like that. It is not finished version, so I'll make a gallery (not on Eurobricks) and link them here. thank you four your good intension's and info -

Yeah, space is also bothering me, specially if I want to motorize some functions like on Unimog, you'll see when I upload the pictures. I have Idea for steering similar to LEGO Xerion, but need to find time 4 LEGO -

I believe that hood is very stable, but it is not smooth like on original one...I hope that I can find time to take pictures of my axles within chassis and post them - maybe my solution could help someone who reads this tread - of course with your permission -

It is very nice, but I see that hood is causing you a bit of trouble like on my model...OK I need to make proper steering with 3 modes..., but live axles and 6 cylinder engine are done (together with main chassis part). Just one question - did you made suspended axles? -
Hi Everyone, few days ago tires arrived. First impression - they are very very heavy and tread pattern does not look like one on real tractor and LEGO Xerion, but like tire for equipment like sprayer (not self propelled one but like this one http://www.getfarming.com.au/cdt/uploads/1/features/1200710311912.jpg), so there is no use for me. Another problem is that wheel does not fit nicely enough inside the tire sou I had to "play" with sandpaper in order to fit in this wheel (a pair of them per tire) http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=88517&idColor=85#T=C&C=85 I can take pictures and show you what disappointment from my point of view it is. Now I can only hope that LEGO makes 135mm tire that has fully compatible pattern tread with Xerion tire. I know that you expected this post earlier and aI can only thank you for patience.

Exactly, to use scale based on tires is the only sense IMHO. Another problem is that LEGO tires are very very wide compared to real ones...but that's the way that LEGO choose and we have to respect it and deal with it... -
I will. that is no problem. In about 8 weeks time they'll be ready and another week for shipment...Just a slight difference - beacause I need them for rear wheel - mine will be used on double motorcycle wheels (this one) http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=88517&idColor=85#T=C&C=85

Did anyone noticed that steering mode selection lever is more pulled out when 4 wheel steering and crab steering are selected than when only front wheel steering is selected? (or I'm I to late) -
my 2 are about 60 eur + delivery... If I want to realize project that is in my current plans, I have no choice. I doubt that LEGO will make 135 mm tires with pattern like one on Xerion 5000 VC. and to "stretch" Power puller tire on this overall diameter will result in very narrow tire for sprayer or something like that...From my point of view optimal solution for Power puller tire you can see on my folder under this link http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=535390 my 2 are about 60 eur + delivery... No problem about my name. And auto-correct can work like Indian translator... I've contacted Herr Kunz about tires, and wee'll see what I can do. Perfect will be that LEGO makes this one in red http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=88517&idColor=85#T=C&C=85 so I can use a pair of them per wheel...

Hi first of all thank you for info. I'll see what kind of tread for tractors is "compatible" with new LEGO Xerion tire which is good for front. On second page, second row could be promising. http://home.arcor.de/hobbybedarfkunz/Preisliste2013_Seite%202.pdf so I have to contact moder tire manufacturer to see what can be done. Just hope that Tires are not to heavy, but I'll see what can be done... btw I don't think that I'm John. Perhaps as a John doe my life would be better, who knows... thanks

it seems like you have various positive and negative experience with 3rd party tires fitting wheel racing 62 x 46 (the one on your Xerion). did you find tire that fits the same wheel or 56 X 34 that is 135mm x 50mm and that tread is as close as possible to new 107 x 44 from LEGO. because I plan new tractor project from autumn when LEGO Xerion 5000 will be available thanks to everyone who can help me

I also hope that you are wrong and LEGO makes 81,6 and 139mm tires so we tractor builders can make vareus tractor models from 100 to 500hp tractors. -

yes, because driving rings have some empty steering knob movement before tires actually would turn...so only way is to make it with linkage. I can hardly wait to see original solution it looks like cooperation with Fred Flintstone well tradition is something that you can not buy or copy -

...pure black is cool with small details like breaks and air intakes in some hot color like yellow or red...think about combining parts with other MOCs one day in the future...or to use porsche parts for another car... -

I also like black color to use this part http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=18944&idColor=36#T=C&C=36 in black for other mocs. Very nice new wheels and hope that LEGO will start to make wheels with positive offset to enable smaller turning cycle -

No it does not use them - just take a closer look from wheel center and upper liftarm that are used on axle...Just hope that LEGO made smaller tires with this agriculture pattern btw your Xerion is very nice -

I hope that this will not be general tractor forum, but Fendt and Deere models that are competition to xerion use front independent suspension and smaller models use suspension like trucks (jcb factrac) or like lego unimog... btw. wheels are the same like on volvo loader 42030, but there will be disappointment if lego would not produce 81,6 and 94,8 tires with the same tread pattern like on Xerion to enamle us moc builders to make other tractors that have non equal wheels/tires. -
I know the feeling. It happened to me several times. Sometimes my bank made transfer to wrong account, so money was on some temporary account for months...so I've decided to buy set for part when they are on discount; like on Saturday 50€ for 42000 set... but good news; I'm 90% sure that the car that will be template for my model is 1971 g-force cuda... http://www.hotrod.com/features/shop-tours/0604phr-1971-plymouth-barracuda-builders/ but with just two headlights... ...looking forward to see progress of your masterpiece
