  1. I know that, that is what I'm looking forward to see how you are trying to make it work. As I already said (wrote) perhaps you can give me an idea...
  2. I must admit it is recognizable
  3. I could have thought that only you could come to such idea
  4. I know that from your description in first post. I was just "justifying" your decision because I have spent more than half a year for that kind of solution and manual version works with 4 differentials (one for wheels; two - each one for one track and one central) but when it is motorized it does not work...so I'm looking forward to see how your chassis structure will be, perhaps you could give some idea for my project.
  5. I see one big Moc coming...and to make both wheel and tracks drive it takes something extra brainstorming... looking forward to see how it develops.
  6. Honestly I have more than 10 of them, but my pet does not allow me to step on it and I have lot's of older parts that should be integrate somewhere and not to buy new sets always due to very limited space I have... Anyway I have found solution without new differential, but I accept it is very good new part like frames 7 x 11 that will save some trouble that I had in the past...but perhaps this posts are better suited to "general parts discussion" topic...
  7. Ok, but somehow it is similar - you have to buy the whole (IMHO) expensive set just for (great) differential - and only one... pity that this one was not introduced in set like 42099 or even in not C+ (but I suppose that reason for this differential is clicking etc... In 28tooth bevel differential)
  8. Unfortunately it is visible that this is all connected (with economy). I was just pointing that @Nedsynoo spotted something plausible...
  9. This didn't cross my mind despite seeing lots of hoax in modern ("liberal") society's conventions etc....this could be pure economy, but again to buy very expansive set just to sell jewel and crown remains...
  10. I have some white panels and parts, but I usually stick to "vibrant" colors when building machinery like orange in Unimog and yellow on Fastrac; telehandlers (that I plan) will be yellow and Syn-trac will be red...that is my plan... I hope to finish Fastrac untill end of January; propulsion and suspension are finished and (finally satisfying - stiff and no clicking gears etc...). I like your solution with truck wheel to do simulate smaller rim on machinery. And about "modern" technology - I'm trying to take care about my eyes as much as possible and last few years I have realised how traditional things can be interesting, relaxing and health caring at the same time... Regards Jorge
  11. Looking good , but I'm a fan of old school building just with hands (and bricks). "Modern" technology I use mainly to see original machinery and even in that case I prefer printed drawings... ...so I hope to see your MOC with real bricks asap...
  12. You could be right; all those balloon tires (Powerpullers, 94.8 x 44R, 81.6 x 38R, 68.7 x 34 R and 56 x 20 R) have the same pattern, so I was hoping for similar tractor tires line... I forgot about older Xerion because LEGO usually makes model of latest workhorse (iconic cars are not workhorses IMHO)
  13. What I like most - wheel solution with central "nut", for other characteristics members have said all
  14. Cool models, specially Charger. 1970s Cuda would be cool one if you can recreate "Sick fish" BTW why didn't you use differential?
  15. this one is better ( @Mechbuilds can integrate portal hubs with it )
  16. I see... Perhaps you can use dogbones (with this part ) to connect upper turntable holes with 5 x 11 frame...
  17. If you put servo one stud lower, can you connect it to upper holes on turntable and use dogbones to connect turntable to axle
  18. Yes indeed (like on my orange as example). @Thirdwigg you can use axle joiners in blue for A pillar ...if you have them
  19. Front part of can is to vertical for real model, but overall I like your blue version...U300-U500 look better in blue than in Orange, but last version is better in orange, so my U423 is orange. V4 is better but bigger frames from Land Rover (black frames 7 x 11) could help you gain stiffness a d space
  20. After completely chaotic week I had few hours time today to work on RC Fastrac. After some work I have managed to make propulsion using 2 XL motors and solution works without any flaws, no clicking or popup gears, no popup CV joints because I had to use ball joint for Unimog torque tube. At this point I have special thank to @efferman who's Scania wrecker was an inspiration for drivetrain solution. It is still unfinished rear chassis and rear axle but I hope to optimize it this month (since my last update was last year )
