Check the first post: :-D *yoda* I love your vig 8-

Well you ASKED if he knew how they're built...I think the fact that he built one answers that nicely :-D

Izzy, I think that I need to clear some things up for you...

Well I'm warning you also not to instigate members. As a great man once said... It pains me to close the topic, but this was rapidly turning into a flame war. I don't want to see this carry over into any other topics with you two, which John has indicated he has already let it do. Both of you just treat each other with respect :-/ -

Oh don't worry John, it isn't for you :-D Although I hope Izzy won't mind her fig being IN the vig (though not the one whacked). And really it isn't getting much of anywhere, so what's say all parties involve just drop it and act like it never happened? -
You'd be surprised, some of the most inventive and celebrated bionicle-related MOCs are the small ones that manage to be inventive and have a lot of function, while being really, really small!

Well, the forum is no place to carry out a personal agenda. With that in mind...I have such a great surprise in store for my whack a member vig >:-) In all seriousness though, there's a difference between threatening someone with a "rusty spoon" and a large blunt object. Now everyone chill before I start throwing rusty spoons at you all X-D -
It's really about maturity, as John said. However we're really more lenient on people who have been here for awhile, and shown that they can be a part of the community without spamming the place up. If you're under the age limit, and have been here for awhile, you're probably fine. If someone however signs up tomorrow and starts their intro topic mentioning they're 10...they might not have as much luck X-D Then again they may be given a chance to show their maturity, it really depends on the day :-P

Where are you getting that from? True, the larger MOCs tend to be fairly parts intensive, but I've seen plenty of MOCs that, as Jinzo said, use the same number as an ordinary set, and still manage to impress.
-
Anyone can be a master MOCer if they put the time and effort in (and practice!). And of course uses for those pieces have been found, however not nearly enough to justify their existence. Sure they can be used for a few things, however they don't have the versatility that smaller pieces do, or pieces with simply more connection points. Their proportions aren't even really carefully measured. With system bricks everything is very carefully made, and that's how so many unique and strange connections are still being found, large hulking molds just don't have that versatility, they can perform a handful of functions, whereas smaller or more intricate bits can far outperform them

Good question, I hope she didn't take this seriously :-D -

This has nothing to do with me! I just thought she should know this for her husband's sake, since she seemed confused about the matter when she first joined here >:-) ...wait, we need a smilie with a halo -
Damn Europeans, getting all the lucky promotions! And here very few American AFOL will get one! I think I'll start a topic about it at the Embassy X-D (not like anyone's there anyway)
-
I actually have one of those too, so I can probably answer. It was part of a promo set. You can get the helm here It was from this promo set:

Yeah, you think they'd be more grateful! And yet all it is, is nag nag nag :-X -
Well, when we first started talking there seemed to be a lot of chaos and confusion about things. By that I mean the way things are...the facts of life! Sure, life may change, society may change, but there is one thing that will always remain constant: I hope I've cleared up any misconceptions :-)

Sorry for the belated wishes! Happy birthday you two! I hope it was a great day *sweet*

Great coach! Maybe too great :-P If it's an old coach driven by skeletons, maybe it should be a little more broken down? The two shades of brown don't bother me too much here (it's just the accessories anyway) but I think previous comments were right about the skellie horses, unless you don't have two of them of course :-P Really nice MOC (even though it has the new skellies :-X ;-) ) I guess that's how you can see talent, making a great MOC despite there being the new skellies in it :-D Even though it is whole, it looks nice and rickety though, can't wait to see your next one!

John Cleese: Yes, it was a bit of an off-topic chat, but it did have a central theme, remember that there's a difference between off-topic and spam Norrington: Lighten up :-P IMO there's nothing wrong with going off-topic (though there were a couple of times it looked like it was gonna go a bit too far, but it ended up fine), but not spamming, there is a difference. Joking around is fine, as long as it's in decent taste (read: not hurting anyone, not moral taste). Right now bed sounds like a good idea

I probably can, I already have it planned out :-D

If one more person makes any sort of personal attack and/or insult I will close this topic. This is a place to have friendly discussion, and the occasional less-friendly debate. That does not give ANY right to start flinging mud and insults like a pair of children. If I see any post with "idiot", "stupid" (referring to a person), or over exaggeration with 1337-speak, I'll have no choice but to remove posting abilities pending admin review. That is NOT acceptable, no matter how passionate you are about your point.
-
You just gave me a very good idea about how to whack you for my entry >:-) Keep in mind though that I have class for the next 4 weeks, so I won't be back by my bricks until early August
-
Well most contests seem to have two threads: an entry thread and a discussion thread. Since this already has some discussion (Apo and myself), maybe make another entry thread, and I'll pin that, and then modify the title of this to be just the discussion thread ;-)
-
Oh that's horrible :-X But is this JUST an entries thread? If so, is there a general discussion thread to go along with it? Edit: Pinned
