  1. Oh, and by the way, Hinckley, this is absolutely brilliant: I might just have to steal that :-D
  2. Another reminder of the fig I'll never have :-( Nice vig though :-D Very creative
  3. This is absolutely astonishing, fantastic work on a grand scale! My only complaint is that it doesn't also transform into Optimus X-D Next version perhaps?
  4. I'm sure it's fine, it's what I used to make my recent sigfig afterall X-D
  5. If you don't have photoshop, lamanda found a really nice free program that's not only very similar, but much easier to use! Here
  6. Hi there. I'm afraid that isn't a set, but rather a MOC up using an older set.
  7. My thoughts exactly, the "horn" has become such a used and versatile piece that it would have been sorely missed, and had much more use and versatility than a simple plume. Besides, I don't think any of the other plumes would look nice there. I've noticed this, actually. It's really hard to keep anything straight with them :-/ Yeah, the real vikings didn't have any horns, but I don't think they had giant technic dragons either, so it's all fine :-D
  8. Actually SLR's advantage isn't in moving objects necessarily, they by nature give you a great deal more control over your camera. Higher and lower ISO values, more aperature and Fstop choices, etc. Gives you a much broader range of options for photographing in low-light situations...like I often have to do.
  9. There's no such thing as a "best camera for taking pics of MOCs". The better the camera, the better the picture quality, normally. For quality, you can't get better than an SLR camera, however these tend to be more expensive. I, for example, have a Nikon D80 and *wub* it Pretty much almost any camera will do the trick though, as long as you provide enough light and use a tripod
  10. Wow, he's charging $2 for an old skeleton when the going rate is $1, and $2 for a crown knight soldier, when you can get two and a skeleton and bricks in a $5 set...
  11. What a beautiful beastie you have here! It's really nice, and while I have to compliment you on using galidor (I think?) pieces, I do think that brick built legs might look a bit nicer or more poseable. Regardless it's set up beautifully, I love those pincers
  12. Well it's possible with a rod of plasma and powerful magnetic fields to shape it, however we currently don't have the technology to make generators that powerful that small :-P
  13. Starwars4J

    Goodbye!

Well sorry to see you go, but remember you don't have to make a new account. There's no reason you can't keep your old one :-)
  14. I'm not sure, but matters like this are best left to PM...so I'll close this. If you've been ripped off, make sure you can get your money back. EB isn't generally responsible for any trades or purchases made :-P Good luck with your situation, Aaron.
  15. That's very, very impressive! The sheer number of those trans-green bricks alone is impressive, but the model itself looks very much like the real building! Totally blows my mind, thanks for sharing!
  16. PM sent ;-) X-D Yes, I'll definitely post it on a head, but I wanted to get reactions here before I go and order it, things like that. I'd rather minimize the number of problems, especially considering how long they'll take to be made and shipped to me. Thanks!
  17. I'll put the mask on once in awhile just for you X-D Well, I might just have to darken it or something, or I'll just get more info from other customizers and ask Kaminoan himself! I've never used a custom decal before, but I know I want to use waterslide decals (which is what he prints on more or less at cost). I'll have to look into that, I never even thought about that effect! Thanks, hinckley :-) Thanks! I'm still not sure if the mouth is too low though, we'll see how it turns out
  18. Okay, so I finally got around to making this. I used the Paint program that Lamanda found (I can't thank her enough, it's so much easier than Photoshop, Coreldraw, or Illustrator...I tried all three for my decal, but my noobishness prevented any sort of outcome). Anyway, it's fairly simple, I really concentrated on the eyes, as they're my favorite feature :-P My eyebrows are weird, despite having dark brown hair, they're blondish for most of the year, and get brown in deep winter. I wanted a bit of a smile, maybe more towards a smirk like that, so I hope that's okay. As for the eyes, I was inspired by my absolute favorite fig, Katara, but clearly I wanted a more masculine face :-P It's my first decal, so I'm sure it needs a lot of work. When it's totally done, I'll make an order from Kaminoan. Anyway, this is just a compressed .jpg, but I have the uncompressed versions with layers intact so I can fix anything that might need it. It looks a little bland, but I don't really have any other defining features. I never found noses to look good on minifigs. Maybe a curve near the edge of the smirk? I don't know, anyway here it is! Thanks for looking and commenting.
  19. That's a great comparison, thanks! While this could have been worse, it could have been better too :-/ The legs are too spindly (not armored enough). There are the EXPOSED INSIDES of the legs, which is just inexcusable and will get fixed as soon as I get it (if I get it). As sinner mentioned it's missing the characteristic central hump, so it looks much less realistic, and even the guns are too long and thin! Until I had seen that side-by-side comparison, I had forgotten how much better the original was :-/ Not to mention it came with another snowie and a speeder bike
  20. Well I may have gotten here a little late, but sure :-D Thanks! Currently planning a few other versions X-D
  21. You're right, it's him, it has nothing to do with every post you've ever made :-| ;-)
  22. I agree completely. Too many people are caught up in their own beliefs to consider that they might not be true. That just leads to "I'm right and you're wrong" nonsense...
  23. Well I guess that's what he was trying to distinguish, when he mentioned fundies. For example I believe my beliefs are right (otherwise why would I believe them?). They don't necessarily follow with any mainstream religion of course, but they work for me. I believe them, I live my life according to my beliefs (which naturally include what I believe to be right and wrong), but I by no means believe that I know I'm right. For example I have no idea if Christianity is right, or Judaism, or Islam, or even if the Native Americans had it right! We could all be wrong at the same time, or we could all be right at the same time. I don't believe that it's possible to know everything, and to know which is ultimately right, so why don't we all just live our lives believing what we want to believe, and letting everyone else believe what they want? :-)
  24. So maybe you need to redefine what a liar is, and what constitutes a lie ;-) Is it a lie if a person is going in there will full knowledge, even expectations of someone representing themselves differently? You seem to make a lot of...well, generalizations, and the fact is we got it the first time. Just remember if something makes you uncomfortable, nobody is forcing you to read a particular thread, instead of trying to get everyone to only talk about what you find acceptable, maybe you need to give room for other people to have different tastes. The only reason I'm saying anything is because you seemed rather...pushy in your posts.
