Ah, so just shorten the brim and you should be fine, though I notice the brim in the reference picture is at a slight angle. For the most accuracy, you could always try disposing with the brim entirely and make your own angled brim out of sculpy or green stuff! I can't wait to see where you'll take this :-) But he'd get more constructive criticism and advice from the guys here who really know the best way to go about customizing pieces :-P

Definitely the vikings dragon. While the older one has nostalgia, it just didn't look realistic enough and wasn't very poseable. The new castle dragon...looks like it's from a Megabloks set :-X I found the viking dragon to be a nice compromise of large pieces and articulation.

At least you guys throw out algebraic equations when you sit around (apparently). I'm actually fairly reserved and quiet, at least until I start to feel comfortable. Then I don't shut up :-|

Very nice work, Aaron! That's really impressive, sure the piece is a little rough, but that's easy enough to fix. I'm not all that familiar with the helms you based this off of (if you could provide a reference pic I'd appreciate it), but just my random impression is that the brim is a bit too wide as it is now, though you already noticed that. Did you just take the KK1 helm and take off the part that wraps around the head, and the bolts

Okay, let me say something. This is NOT a place for arguing! If you can't have a semi-civil debate then you can't do it here. Secondly just as I told DV about his comments that were out of line, I'm going to tell you that you need to stop. Clearly if he can build them he's experienced enough with techniques that he CAN build something like that from one pic. Clearly each MOC will have some unique technique or two, but you can easily replicate something while modifying one or two small things. If you can't accept that, fine, but don't go on about it :-| Now Lord Thrawn was right, let's please try to get back on topic...
