excellent! But make a custom shuttle to go with it. I never liked the official version :-X And I thought I had a decent amount of stormtroopers ;-) Very clean, very polished, very...Imperial *vader*
-
The face, from what I can see, seems to be the same as the human queen from the KK2 chess set, and from the looks of it, all MFs seem to have the same torso, king and queen included

...And a Pirates Chess Set! I can think of various combinations. Pirates vs. Islanders, Pirates vs. Red/blue coats, Red coats vs. Blue coats (not entirely sure if they're both British), Red/blue coats vs. Spaniards. The list goes on and on. Whenever TLC revives the theme they need to make a Pirates Chess set! Alas Pirates are even less likely than Star Wars 8-| However I'd definitely see a Pirates vs. Bluecoats if they decided to.

Absolutely fantastic. The figs and armorments alone make the set more than worth it. I doubt I'll be getting two...at least right away, but still...man :'-) Yes, yes, now just a Star Wars version or two (it wouldn't violate the agreement with Hasbro), and maybe a classic castle version? Hoping for too much, eh? :-P

Brilliant question mark around the window for the Riddler! *y*

I know how stupid this is going to sound, but I voted Black Knights due to the stunning minifigs. Of course the castles were among the best TLG ever produced, but who didn't love the black knights' euro armor and pointed visors? They seemed to me to be the most powerful rendition of Lego knights so far *y*

Cool use for extra Batman stickers
Starwars4J replied to sam89's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Sadly I've never actually used varnish, so I don't know how accurate that is to describe it :-$ It applies a thin, clear coat to the fig that protects the decal well enough to all you to throw the fig in a bin and not worry :-) -
Just a few notes for the reviewer: First of all, FANTASTIC review! I really felt like I was building it with you X-D This set is rather disappointing, I was thinking I might get it on sale, but on second thought nah. This wasn't from the classic castle line anyway, it was from the dreaded KK1, however at least with KK1 you got some pointed visors... I love the flow of this review, great job, and please keep it up! (also, TLG doesn't make all figs in fleshtone, just the license ones) *y*

Not at all, it applies a clear coat that makes it rather scratch-resistant, if a little shiny ;-) Perfectly safe to use, and preferred for decals, especially water-slide decals *wub* -

New updated Custom figs spiderman & thundercats
Starwars4J replied to Vader's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
The Thundercats was an old American action cartoon from the mid-80's that followed the adventures of a group of alien cats stranded on a strange world. You can read about it here. -
Speaking of emoticons, the MG droids would be awesome :blacksmylielaughing:

Yeah, I think they're a bit too large, but very nice How about a "smilie" of the classic space logo? Also a nice background wallpaper would be great, and spacey. Maybe a couple of planets, stars, etc. I could try to find something suitable if you'd like, just PM me with the basic details for what you want. We also need a sticky for reviews (like the two you've done so far, as well as any in the future (I'll be getting to mine soon) >_> I wonder if we'll be associated with classicspace.com at all. Hopefully we'll become as large as the pirate subforum :-P Edit: also, the other smilies aren't working on here

First, I'd like to say welcome out of your "Dark Ages" and to our little site ;-) As for scans, you can find many of them here, and don't worry, SYSTEM is living fine! A lot of the old themes are gone, such as Pirate, Space, Castle, etc. but if you really want to spend money on them you can find most of them here in any level of condition you could want! Bionicle isn't all there is, though both Technic and SYSTEM have been produced less than they were, things are actually starting to get back to normal with the wonderful Viking line, and newer Knights Kingdom II sets (which are getting closer and closer to Classic Castle!) If you can't find any sets in local stores (which sounds strange *wacko* ) you can always order from the official site Shop-at-home at www.Lego.com (just change the country to wherever you live) Again, welcome back! I'll be happy to help answer any other questions you might have P.S. Also, make sure to introduce yourself :-)

Nope, nothing loaded *wacko*

Nice review! I don't have the space for that layout, so thanks for making the ones I'm gonna do look like crap :-P Excellent though, great that you have two of an old model like that. Those were fun days :'-) I'll be doing some spyruis, insectiod, UFO, Space Police 1, etc. Can't wait for your next review!

They're all so cool, thanks for showing these! I'm torn between the Ice Planet one and the defense base one @_@ Any idea where he got that large trans-orange canopy from?

This is pretty old but still very awesome. I love the way they designed the monorail to move upwards in that spiral

Off course !! Especially in the dog fight sessions !! Thats why it has S-Foils (I never seen those types of wings on old grey and bulky spaceships X-D ) ARC stands for Aggressive Reconnaissance starfighter !! The ARC-170 fighter is a bulky, aggressive ship covered with weapons: 2 medium laser cannons, 2 aft laser cannons, 6 proton torpedoes and operated by 3 pilots !! A pilot handling the flight maneuvers, a copilot operating the laser cannons mounted on the ship's wide wings, and a tailgunner operating the dorsal rear-facing cannon. The fighter also carried an astromech droid for onboard repairs. So bring your puny missile launcher on :-P !! *yoda* Actually, the S-foil is not just for atmospheric flight, but also distrobution. That's why most space MOCs are made symmetrically, and any real space ships are ;-) see, even though there's no air, the ships have mass, and the engines that push the ship push straight forward (unless they're freaky and angeled) so if the ships aren't symmetcial they'd end up flying at an angle! If that's what you're going for fine, but remember if you build an asymmetrical craft to offset the engines enough (or add small suppliments) to account for the mass difference

Regarding Viking Prototypes (Longboat)
Starwars4J replied to Starwars4J's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
okay, I just remember the first picture linked (what I guess is the second prototype?), so I wondered if anyone knew about it. Thanks, someone can lock this now :-) -
Now, we've all seen the prototype: but while browsing Brickshelf today, I saw what looks to be an even earlier prototype...and I haven't seen this before. Does anyone have any knowledge of this, or am I just really tired? :-P here *drools about the axes and beards* Even the horns were nicer...
