  1. Wow, what a brick collection! Quite expansive to buy so many storage boxes! Well done! Good job! When I read "red/white/blue tiles" in one box, it automatically reminded of the French flag. The European soccer championship is in progress. Are you subconsciously supporting the French team? *just kidding*
  2. Hi and welcome to eurobricks! I was in your country in 2006 but not in your place, unfortunately.
  3. My brickset wishlist highlights 60 sets I'd like to have. Though I could list the whole sets here, I'll simply just mention the ones that I'd love to have as soon as possible: 10182 Cafe Corner, 10184 Town Plan, 10185 Green Grocer, 10190 Market Street. The following sets are not on my brickset wishlist since I already have some copies of them. But those sets below I always need. So I'd still love to have: 15x 9V train motor 10153 20x straight 9V rails 4515, preferably in old gray 3x 9v switsches 4531, preferably in old gray All the things above would cost a fortune (if I bought everything at once).
  4. Welcome to our fabulous LEGO site!
  5. Hi and welcome to eurobricks! Nice to have another woman here!
  6. Hi and welcome to eurobricks!
  7. Good work! Well done! I also prefer 4 wide cars! Indeed, they don't allow you to add many details because of their small size, but your cars are great nevertheless. Nice background pictures in combination with your LEGO cars, by the way!
  8. Welcome to our community!
  9. Hmmm... depends on how big your boxes are. Just empty one box on the floor and do a colour separation first. But it depends on the size of the box. If it's too big, it might not be a good idea.
  10. I'm sure you'll feel comfortable here. Welcome to eurobricks!
  11. That sigfig thing confused me as well! Good to finally have an answer to my state of confusion! Nice to get to know Holodoc a bit better. I'm also among those who would buy LEGO Star Trek stuff. I'd love to see some awesome Star Trek spaceships made of LEGO bricks! By the way, Holodoc, you have a nice train collection. I see that you were also able to obtain a train engine shed 10027 with old gray bricks! Don't like it with bley bricks. Don't have it with bley.
  12. Thanks for the links. There are some interesting ideas and building instructions in there. But I don't like cutting my 9V rails into pieces. Anyone really doing this, cutting 9V rails into pieces to create new track geometries? I'm not skilled enough to do such things and even if I were, I wouldn't do it since 9V rails are being discontinued and have thus become precious.
  13. Yes, getting ridiculed is a problem. I can remember when I was between 11 and 14 years old; LEGO was pretty uncool. Super Nintendo ruled concerning coolness. When I was 16, my Dark Ages began. I could finally get rid of that nasty era at age 20. So do try to avoid the Dark Ages! Good to hear you have not been in them! Welcome to eurobricks!
  14. If I had set 4954, I would never ever have had the idea to use the pieces of it for a train engine shed. I'm not as creative as you. The result of your experiment is amazing! Really great job!
  15. For me set 6683 Hamburger Stand is the best set! I simply love the charm of the sets released in the 80s! They look great and have nice details! The buildings of the 80s were really beautiful!
  16. In such cases I usually ask the seller by mail whether they would make an exception concerning the shipping destination. Don't rely too much on what it says in the description.
  17. Welcome to this forum! I find it nice when women join our community. There aren't so many women around here.
  18. You sound like a very passionate LEGO fan! This is definitely the best forum for you (and all of us )! Welcome to eurobricks!
  19. I wouldn't close it, but it could be reduced to real modular houses without the creator houses plus a poll.
  20. Wow, you've made quite an effort! Nice pirate port! I also believe that tan looks quite good! Maybe your creation makes TLC realise that there are pirate fans out there who would love to see some official pirate sets!
  21. I think I haven't got one single piece too many, but I have got one minifig more than I want. If you go here, it's the minifig on the very left. It's the engine driver you can find in cargo train 4512, engine shed 10027, BNSF 10133 and Holiday Train 10173. At least it came with bley hands in 10133 and 10173. I don't like bley much but with this minifig it's at least a bit of a change.
  22. That's a pretty cool coincidence! I'm also in Innsbruck, but this is my last semester there. My studies are nearly finished. I can finish my thesis at home as well with just some little trips to the university library.
  23. I wish you a walrussy birthday!
  24. I know that there are some university students among us. Simonwillems, for instance, is writing on his PhD. but I have no idea what his area of research is. There's one reason why I decided to open this thread: I'm a university student myself. I'm doing the teacher training programme for the subjects Englisch and Psychologie & Philosophie. The latter two beginning with"P" form one subject though you can study them seperately outside the teacher training programme. And in Austria you are obliged to have two subjects for the teacher training programme. So they are 1) English and 2) Philosophie & Psychologie. I'm also studying English and American studies. Well, that's not much more work since most lectures and seminars are identical with the courses you have to attend for the teacher training programme for English. I'm currently writing on my thesis. So how about you? What are you studying? Have you studied at uni? Or are you going to study something at university?
