  1. Austrians and Germans neither. I didn't check S@H for more European countries. Seems LEGO is trying to get rid of 9V rails as quickly as possible; at least getting rid of the curved rails. For Germans and Austrians: With the straight rails 4515 it says: "call to check product availability". Weren't straight 9V rails sold out already? Seems there is a chance of getting some boxes if you phone. Again, I didn't check S@H for other European countries. Might be the same there.
  2. I'd also go for number three. In my opinion it's the best version of a B.
  3. Oh, I love big old steam engines! Unfortunately LEGO released only one in the 12V era. That was set 7750. So all you can do is to construct such big steam engines yourself, and I must say that I really love SavatheAggie's engine. It is detailed and it's so tremendously long! Tony, you must be one of the master constructors of steam engines! Congrats! Keep up your excellent work!
  4. I think it's not only mighty fine but mighty fantastic! Yes, more pics would be nice indeed! And I like the colour scheme. There are lots of soldier buildings that are white and that big building of the port is white as well. So this port goes with the soldier sets well.
  5. Hi! Welcome to our community! There are lots of Star Wars fans here. You can be very sure to discuss all that comes to your mind about Star Wars with them.
  6. Hi megasad! I'm sure this community'll make you "megahappy" with all our brick-related topics! Feel comfortable here!
  7. WOW, this is a very fantastic MOC indeed! Highly detailed, a very nice landscape including a river, and a rocky area! Absolutely great! I always thought that castle constructions would never look good with bley. OK, you proved I was wrong! It does look good with bley, but I'll still stick to my preference, namely using old grey for castles and also rocks. And I wouldn't use that studless look for the rock. Rock must be rough and so it must have studs. Otherwise I really love your MOC!
  8. A late welcome for a late introduction! I also like Castle and Pirates a lot, though I usually end up spending all my money on train stuff.
  9. Yes, it is bland, and you can also add this and that to such a building, but IMO SalvoBrick simply wanted to show us a cheap building. The price of this house is very good. Well done, SalvoBrick.
  10. Welcome to eurobricks! Nice to hear you're into several themes. I like trains most, but I also like castle, pirates and a little bit of space.
  11. Hi and welcome to this fabulous forum! Enjoy yourself here!
  12. Wow, this is a really brilliant MOC! Why does no one like the monster? I think it looks quite cute! Just a bit too big to take it home with you.
  13. Very useful link! Thanks Calvin! Since I don't have that many bricks yet I have never really bothered about stacking them in an efficient way. But it's always good to save space. I'll try those techniques immediately. But there's a trick to separate two 2x2 plates more easily when you've stuck one on the other. Just put the two 2x2 plates on a bigger plate - maybe a baseplate - and use the brick separator then. Usually this works much better than any fingernail or brick destructing techniques. EDIT: By the way, any ideas on how to store train buffers in a space-saving way? *just kidding*
  14. I think the boiler looks quite round. Must've been a good idea to use SNOT here. The colour scheme of the locomotive is also nothing I could criticise. When I look at those pics with the SNOT techniques, I realise that your locomotive is beyond my level of building ability. You are using quite elaborate building techniques, and I am looking forward to seeing the final result! Keep us up-to-date on further progress!
  15. A really amusing MOC indeed! Congrats! I also like the way the pirates are looking at each other! Somehow the whole scene also reminds me of science-fiction movies: a hole in time caused by a storm that was far from being ordinary. The pirates got into that hole and landed in the future. Or maybe it was not a time hole but a hole which took them to another universe.
  16. Nicely done with all those plants. Looks like a real wood. Though I'd never use palm tree leaves for castle creations, I don't find they should be removed. They look good in combination with the other plants and the way you integrated them into your little MOC. Summarising: Great job!
  17. Looks great, your repair crew! I think yellow is a great colour for repair vehicles in general. I can't think of any other colours that would be as good as yellow for such things. Your vehicles are very detailed. The trucks have doors and the way you created a shovel for the excavator without one of those shovel pieces is really clever.
  18. Welcome to eurobricks! Enjoy your stay here!
  19. I wish you a happy and bricky birthday!
  20. Hi and welcome to eurobricks, where brick addiction rules!
  21. Absolutely fabulous pics! I think I could spend hours just looking at them! GG always looks good, no matter if the building is mirrored, a floor added, etc. Envy comes up when I think of you having more than one GG. As Holodoc I don't even have one single copy of GG!
  22. Hi! Welcome to eurobricks! So you want to move to pirates? Try some train sets first! I also want to contribute to the discussion on how to pronounce your username correctly: Do you pronounce "uy" in (Fluyt) like the German "eu" or "รคu"?
  23. Hi and welcome to our community!
  24. I can only agree to what has been said: buy the older sets firts. The newer sets you can still purchase at a later point of time. I'd get the sets that are out of production before someone else does.
  25. If my trains drive around on my layout, is that playing or a display thing? I'm just wondering. Normally, I put it on display. I'll also start moccing as soon as I have enough bricks to do so. But I don't play with my stuff like putting minifigs in and out of passenger cars and so on. When a train derails, I put it back on the rails quickly. I don't let the LEGO fire brigade and rescue helicopter come. My train layout is there for looking at it.
