Nice layout! You've got a lot of buildings. My problem is that I have many trains but only very few buildings. I would love to have such a town. I see that you also had problems with the road plates. I always buy the same road plates on eBay. I don't want to have a road plate mix. By the way, the first three links lead to the same pictures. The links are identical.

Since my dad bought a new camera a while ago, I took some pictures of my collection today. Notice my B-unit. It is not yet completed because I don't have enough of those old gray slopes for the roof. And yes, the Super Chief in the front is a limited edition one. This is what you see when you open the door to the room. Unfortunately, it opens inwards. If it opened outwards, I'd have more space for the stuff. I always must take the door into account when I build a new layout. Some of my sets are quite dusty and would need a wash, I know. They were standing in a room with a bed for a long time. Those sets that are less dusty weren't in that room for a long time or they have never been there at all or, if they were, they were better protected from dust than the other sets. The three tiny things in the back are three castle carriages in case you wonder: Once again, a lot of dust, especially on the railway station. In this pic you can also see my one and only Bionicle set. One corner of the room: And the little Western train. I added the caboose of the My Own Train series. It looks quite good when added to the Western train. This room is quite good. There is much less dust since no beds or cushions or whatever are in there. The only problem I have are wood-lice as I mentioned in that spider problem thread. I have no idea how the wood-lice get in there. The room is dry as you can see And no, this is not all the stuff I have. Some vehicles are on the wooden shelf. And a lot of sets have been put back into their boxes. These are especially castle sets and vehicles.

Hi and welcome to our community! You're quite a lucky guy! You get a lot of LEGO support from your girlfriend! Too bad your mother sold your Black Seas Barracuda 6285. My mum is always threating to sell my LEGO stuff or to give it away for free. Of course, she hasn't dared do so! Fortunately!

Welcome to our community! I hope you'll continue creating such amazing MOCs!

It's trains as my user name indicates. As a child I loved castle stuff. I switched to trains at Christmas 1991; that was when I got my first train set, but I still got castle sets as well. Especially since my dark ages I have loved the train theme most. For me trains (plus town stuff that belong to a good train layout) are a representation of reality. And hey, those trains can move, wow! I love detailed things and locomotives like the Super Chief are very detailed. This refers back to the reality aspect. Maybe my love for trains is something that has been within me since childhood. When I was very small, I had trains made of wood with railway tracks made of wood. You had to push the trains, and they had magnetic couplings. I loved them, but that wooden train layout always remained very little. I never got additional tracks though they would've been available. And even as a child my eyes became wider and wider when I saw real model trains. I can remember going to the cellar of one of my mum's cousins. They had a model train layout there. I was always accompanied by one of her sons. I'm sure they wouldn't have trusted me if I had been there all alone. Model trains are fragile and expensive, and I was only a curious child. But for my clumsy fingers LEGO trains are perfect. I seldom touch my brother's model trains. But if you drop a LEGO train, just assemble it again. Drop a model train and up to 250 euro can be gone! And 250 euro is a lot of money with which you can buy 9V train stuff!

Quite a snotty MOC. I especially like the snot technique you used for the water of the river. The wall looks very good. I also like the tavern and the orc taking a bath plus the trans-clear pieces you used as bubbles. I think your MOC could be expanded easily. I hope you'll do this if you have time. I'd love to see that scene grow. Good work!

2009 Pirate Set Impressions - the good, the bad and the ugly
legotrainfan replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
6243 The Ship What I like Firing cannons New torsos. I especially like the female minifig. Two masts with sails. There could have been only one mast. Two factions. Great overall look of the ship. A banana for the chimp. Parrot in a new colour scheme. A little crane to lift treasures. What I don't like The skull and bones on the sails. A new shark. Why did they create a new shark? Imperial guards come with a new torso design. The torso design of the old imperial guards could've been used for continuity's sake. -
This truck is simply beautiful! It's on my brickset wanted list! I love the colour scheme. Red and yellow are the right choice for this vehicle! The back part of the truck can be opened, so it can discharge the rubbish like real garbage trucks. You've also mentioned that in your review, and I find it a wonderful detail! Thanks for the review, JopieK!

I hope you all have a wonderful birthday!

Thanks for informing us, TheBrickster! Klaus-Dieter, I totally agree with you. I also find set 6561 and 6369 nicer but - in contrast to you - I don't own them. I don't find the garage looks good. The same is true for the cars. Just a matter of taste.... but I do agree when some of you say it's expensive! 99.99 euro! Wow, that's dear! Market Street 10190 is 89.99 euro! Set 10200 must be so expensive because a digital designer CD is included.

Thanks for that splendid review, Simonwillems! I clicked on "outstanding," of course! I also like those little details, especially the ticket validating machines. You're very fortunate to own this wonderful set! I hope you have an airport to go with it. Edit: And bricklink is wrong giving 1991 as the release date. You're right; it was 1990.

Hello from the rural South-East of Ireland
legotrainfan replied to graham g's topic in Hello! My name is...
Hi and welcome, Irishman! You live in a nice country! I was there in 2006! If you want to buy bricks, you can go to www.bricklink.com, where you have to register to create an account. Registration is for free. Or you can buy bricks through lego.shop.com. Go to "Pick a Brick" there. Or you can simply phone the LEGO customer service - I don't know if Ireland has one - and order the pieces you need there, but you have to give the LEGO employee a description of the elments you want. That can be quite challenging. I usually check peeron.com for the element number. Then I tell the LEGO employee to go to peeron.com and type in the number of the brick I want. So I can be quite sure they are sending the right bricks. Again, welcome! Don't hesitate to ask when you have questions! -
A wood-louse. Small grey creatures with many feet. They have a grey carapace. These animals can usually be found in shadowy and damp places such as damp cellars and under stones. Click here if it's still not clear to you.

I've got the same problem with older headlights. But there are also cracks on other things like minifig torsos and even 1x2 bricks. But both the torsos and the bricks I am talking about are more than 10 years old. However, I can remember that on 1000steine.de there was a discussion about this brick. This is a quite new brick; it hasn't been produced for a long time. Nevertheless, cracks occur. I'm not a hundred percent sure anymore, but I believe that Jan Beyer answered the post, saying that cracks were usually produced by tension, which you can't prevent unless you never want to use your bricks, and grease, namely the grease our body produces and everyone automatically has on their hands. So washing your hands before buidling and playing was recommended.

I wouldn't recommend using chemistry. Wouldn't want any chemistry in my rooms, though I have to admit I use some to drive mosquitoes away; otherwise I couldn't sleep all night. Anyway, I'd also go for cleaning the room or covering your models with something. Since my layout is on the floor, I have a problem with slaters. Not a severe one, though. I always find some dead slaters lying around or one or two walking around. I'm wondering why. The room is in the cellar, but it has a wooden floor and it is absolutely dry. So it ain't surprising that the slaters all die sooner or later, but I'm wondering how they actually get into that room.

Hi and welcome to our community! If brickset doesn't have a pic of a set that you have, I'd mail a scan to them.

Welcome to our community! Maybe you could post some pics of your MOCs. I'm especially interested in your train MOCs.

I've just bought two brand new 10153 train motors for 29.95 euro each on eBay. Not a bad price! I mean they normally tend to be more expensive now since they are out of production. It was a buy-it-now purchase.
