  1. Welcome to our community!
  2. Wonderful mansion and a very nice choice of colours! I also find it fantastic that you can take the roofs and the first floor off.
  3. Welcome to our community!
  4. Just put it on eBay. As for the price I'm not sure at all. Depends on how many bidders are interested it and how much money they want to part with. It isn't easy to make a prediction for the price it'll sell.
  5. This is not good news. I think clone brands mainly profit from inattentive customers. They see a set with bricks and don't look if it's LEGO or not.... but there are certainly also customers who don't really care if it's LEGO or a clone brand. They just want the set to be cheap. At least here in Europe I have seldom seen clone brands (especially in my country).
  6. Welcome to our community! Sooner or later all of thrash's friends and his whole family will be discussing LEGO matters here, so it seems! I hope you enjoy it here!
  7. Welcome! It's always nice to have more women/girls here!
  8. Welcome! I hope you've enjoyed it here so far!
  9. Thanks for the review! I've voted for "above average." While I like the introduction of new pieces like the telescope, I'm surprised that LEGO forces new pieces on us though old ones would have been better... better for continuity's sake! Why are new castles walls needed? Why not take the old ones? Or why does the crocodile have a new colour? Or the brown base of the palm tree; why not using the old pieces? Anyway, there are some nice new torsos in the set, and the base is modular, which is brilliant. And we are getting a new colour: dark brown. No real news since we have seen some dark brown pieces in the Castle Town Square 10193. But as for myself, I think I'm going to continue with classic pirates... apart from the new pirate ship.
  10. Nice vehicle! Good use of tiles and slope bricks! Nice details like the tyre fixed at the back of the car. And the car is 4 studs in width! That's the width I always prefer for cars and lorries alike.

  12. The admiral will be furious when he sees what you've done with the prototype! It's really hilarious! Very nice idea to create such a MOC!
  13. We'd love to see your models. Welcome to our community!
  14. Hi and welcome to our community!
  15. This is set 6600. Its name is Highway Construction and it was released in 2000.
  16. Very good work, Badsneaker! Your locomotive looks great! I somehow don't like the colour scheme though. I don't like it when a dark colour like black is used abundantly in combination with a bright colour like red, which is also abundandently used. There is no colour harmony. With the waggons and engine of set 4565 I find this matter dealt with well though they are also made of black plus red bricks, but in a certain black/red piece ratio. But this is no real criticism since you tried to use pieces from the Hobby Train Set 10183; the majority of the bricks of that set are either red or black. I also dislike battery powered trains, because the battery unit takes away so much space and you cannot alter it. But I must disagree with your opinion on the locomotive in set 7898: I think it looks great. If I had it, I'd use it with a 9V motor, of course. Apart from that, freight trains that use electricity are better for our environment!
  17. Welcome to our community! 15 years are a long time span for Dark Ages. Fortunately, my Dark Ages were shorter.
  18. I've voted for the Imperial Flagship 6271. It looks tremendously good. I love its shape. And it has two main sails! The use of "CC" for the Caribbean Clipper confused me for one second. As someone who is more into trains and town/city, I immediately thought of Cafe Corner. Of course, this is the pirate forum; there are other rules here.
  19. I don't know if it's good or bad to see those pics. It's good to know that the new pirate theme is very close to being released all around the globe. But, at the same time, it's bad because those pics are making me terribly impatient!
  20. I'd love to have that set! It is such a pity it was never released in Europe. No idea why TLC did not release it in Europe. And that baseplate with the river printed on it is excellent. If you had 20 of them, you could make a very long river when the baseplates are put next to each other. But that baseplate is so rare. Another rare gem is the female minifig. By the way, very nice review!
  21. I have neither of the two sets, but I find that set 4954 looks much nicer than 4956. So I have no idea why the letter can still be bought. Sometimes it's really hard to understand why TLC discontinues certain sets. They discontinued Santa Fe car 10022 much earlier than 10025. That was a strange decision too. Maybe they found out about the construction error of set 10022; the plates on the upside down construction touch the rails when the train goes through curves. They might have discontinued it for that reason. As for 4554 it's a complete mystery for me. It looks fantastic and has - as has been said before - lots of tan bricks and black slopes. It's still not that expensive in Europe. You can still get it on ebay Germany, for instance, for a reasonable price. Most of the time it is offered for less than 60 euro (buy it now price).
  22. I have voted for extra medieval village add-ons. I'd consider the windmill and farm as part of that category. The castle town square, which is going to be released next year, is a brilliant start, but I'd love to see more such stuff. If TLC produced more brilliant castle sets like castle town square, I'd definitely start collecting castle sets again.
  23. Nice "little" intro! We appreciate longer introductions! Welcome to eurobricks, fellow LEGO enthusiast! To substitute discoloured pieces, I can recommend bricklink.com, eBay, or Pick a Brick (shop.lego.com). Since you love town/city I hope you have noticed these wonderful modular houses: Cafe Corner, Green Grocer and Market Street.
  24. Welcome to our community! I'm also curious to know in which themes you're interested.
  25. This set was my second of the then fresh 9V era. The first one was set 4546. It's a pity that some of the bricks of the set you have bought aren't in good condition anymore, but there's bricklink that can always help you substitute old and damaged bricks. Still, your purchase looks quite good. There is not much dust on the bricks. On the bricks of my set there is much more dust. Edit: Maybe you should've deeplinked some of the pictures. It would be nicer for us, so we wouldn't have to click on each link but would see the pics right away. If you don't know how to deeplink, check the tutorials or PM me.
