Good comic! Does it continue? I really hope it does. I'm curious to know what happens. Edit: Oh, I've just read you're planning on creating other scenes! Nice!

Thanks for that nice review and those pictures! It's a wonderful building, but it seems to be quite an exhausting build as well. But it is definitely worth seeing the final result after hours of assembling it! I see that this set comes with blue 16x32 baseplates! This means they're still in production and can be bought by phoning the LEGO customer service! Wonderful! I'm just saying this because blue 32x32 baseplates are no longer available, but 16x32 baseplates are a good substitute for them!

Your moc reminds of those very small model trains and buildings. It is very detailed. My moccing skills are far from being so good as to make such small buildings so detailed. ...and the best thing about such mocs is: they don't need a lot of space!

Hi! Do you like moccing? How old are you? As you can see we are all quite curious, so please satisfy our curiosity by providing a bit more information about yourself. Welcome to our community!

Wow, looks like a real steam engine... though it has studs! Your creation is very detailed! I like it a lot! And I like the classic colour scheme, namely black and red.
-
I think it's ok the way it is. I don't find it too big. No need to change anything. By the way, it's a great moc, that house!
-
That's a very fine steam engine you have created! I had a look at your MOC-pages. Your passenger cars also look great. They are incredibly long! Don't you experience problems with them in curves? The steam engine has no motor, has it? I just saw one integrated into a waggon. What I really like are the red end lights of the waggon. Extremely nice electric detail! By the way, the theatre you once built looks absolutely amazing! You don't know how many pieces you had to use for it?

Wow, this thing is huge! Even a child could sit in the cockpit. But what's really amazing are those big tyres.

Hints and Tips needed: Where to get specific parts?
legotrainfan replied to Duck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You can also go to Pick a Brick on shop.lego.com. There you can find parts that are in sets that are still in production. Normally, the bricks available on Pick a Brick are more expensive than on bricklink. But there are some bricks that are cheaper on Pick a Brick than on bricklink, especially train stuff like train wheels. So don't forget to compare prices. You can also email the LEGO Company and ask if they have a specific piece if you don't find it on Pick a Brick. Then you have to describe the piece in great detail. I usually look for the piece on peeron.com and email them a peeron-link of the piece I'm looking for. -
Indeed, a difficult decision. 9V stuff is out of production, but you can still get 9V motors on shop.lego.com for a low and good price right now. 9V track is not as expensive as you may think as long as it is used. There's a lot of used rail stuff on ebay. On the other hand, there's going to be a new railway line in 2009: power functions. You'll still be able to run your RC freight train 7898 on the tracks for the new line. Actually I believe that the rails for the new line will be the same as the ones for the RC trains. And I have heard RC trains are not as powerful as a 9V motor and thus cannot pull as many waggons as a 9V motor could, but the set itself is nice. The locomotive looks great, and the rest - all the waggons - is nice-looking stuff, too. Anyway, I can only advise you to make up your mind quickly, especially if you want to convert 7898 to a 9V train. Who knows how long you can still get the 9V motor 10153 for such a good price. They might be sold out very soon, and then you can only get them on ebay and bricklink for a dear price.

How a minifig actually looks inside
legotrainfan replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Absolutely ingenious and hilarous! Maybe Jason Freeny could also develop a poster that shows the meridians of minifigs for acupuncture treatments. -
That Blacktron II spaceship of yours is really impressive! You must have spent many hours with it till it was finally completed.

I wish you a wonderful and bricky birthday, guys!

I went to shop.lego.com and bought two train motors 10153, thus taking advantage of the amazingly low price of ca. 26 euro for one motor. I just had to do that. Who knows how long they'll still be available. I also added some parts from pick a brick, namely 32 train wheels, 16 bearing elements 3x6 and 4 prepacks with 4 axles in each.
