  1. Hi and welcome to our community! Expanding your LEGO collection is always a good plan... especially when it is as small as yours, but I'm sure that you'll have a wonderful collection after some years! Keep collecting!
  2. Welcome to our community! I hope you enjoy it here!
  3. This set has that classic charm that is telling you "buy me" all the time! I missed it as a child, but I was very happy when my brother bought it in Legoland Germany. Now I have it. There are some unique pieces in this set. These are the red castle walls. I don't think you find them in any other set, do you?
  4. Happy birthday!

  7. If there are up to 25% of technic pieces in system sets, I don't really care. I don't know the percentage for the train engine shed 10027, but some technic pieces were used for it. And I think the result of that usage is fantastic. I love that set. I don't think TLC uses too many technic pieces in system sets. So I voted "Not really."
  8. Wonderful idea to create a LEGO chair-lift! And it even works! But I have the same question as 3D Brickthing: What would happen if you put a minifig on the chair? Does it still work then or would the chair be too heavy? Would the rope where the chair is fixed hang downwards too much?
  9. Wow, this rock fortress is really breathtaking! Quite a masterpiece! I'm eagerly waiting for the finished version! I like it that you have used the classic colours for fortresses of the pirate theme, namely white and yellow. The fortress seems to be hard to conquer since it is on a rock. Good idea to place it on a rock. And I also like that impressive ship. Continue this good work!
  10. Actually yes, but I don't have a better explanation for the use of those round red bricks. To make it really realistic, you would need something like chameleon bricks; bricks that turn from yellow to red as soon as they are loaded.
  11. What I particularly like about this ship is its hull. With this ship LEGO proved that it could also produce a ship without those big hull pieces. The only thing that annoys me is that the oars tend to fall off easily when you touch them accidentally. But that's not a big deal. It's still a superb set.
  12. Thanks for this review! Now I finally know what this set looks like if assembled. Mine is MISB. The round shields are really rare, but they also came with the catapult that preceded this one, namely the black falcon's catapult 6030, which I have as well but not MISB. Don't you think that the two red and round bricks, one on each side, are also ammunition? It could be burning ammunition to set fire to a castle or to medieval houses.
  13. I could build a diesel engine and a little gondola with the instructions plus one very simple self-created freight waggon with only one 10183 set. I can only remember that I have added a few small black plates to the set. I don't know if I really needed that addition for these three models. Here's a pic of the three:
  14. Welcome to eurobricks! I hope you enjoy it here!
  15. Hi and welcome to our community! Be careful with those on-line translating features, because - as you have said - they often translate badly. But there are some French speaking community members here. You can ask them if there is a problem and you don't know how to say it in English.
  16. Thanks for the review! I suppose that many among us have been waiting for such a nice review! It's really an amazing set. There's nothing about it I really dislike... apart from the stickers for the torsos. I really love all those details in the house or outside of it; I'm thinking about the chairs here. The wind mill is also excellent. I'd love to have own, but the prices on ebay go up like crazy. I cannot afford this set. Black Rabbit, there is a thread where people discuss whether it's going to be released for the public or not. Couldn't find the thread quickly; if I had found it, I'd have posted a link. The thread must be either in this forum or in the news and general discussions forum. I hope this helps.
  17. To patje: You've got nice high voltage lines as well! The voltage converter station looks very fine too! But most of your trains are 9V trains, aren't they? Panda has many 12V trains and stuff and he put all the cables necessary to run 12V things on the high voltage lines.
  18. I also find it a good idea to create high voltage lines with all those cables. That's how you get them out of the way and the whole layout looks nicer without them lying around.
  19. You have built two very nice unimogs with several nice details! Your LEGO fire-fighters can be happy that they are equipped with such vehicles!
  20. I wish you a wonderful birthday, Hinckley! To all those eurobricks members who are also celebrating this day today: happy birthday to you as well!!
  21. Happy birthday to both of you! Enjoy this day!
  22. Quite nice interior of the house! I'd normally use smaller bricks for the walls though. I'd use 1x? bricks for them and not 2x? bricks. Of course, sometimes 2x? bricks are better because the whole construction is much more stable with them. By the way, my creations always end up so colourful as well, because I don't have so many bricks.
  23. Nice pictures! Lovely train layout! I think I've been on that site before. Maybe by googling for train stuff.
  24. Wow, the hull is incredibly nice! It's definitely a challenge not to use those big hull pieces! I like the sleek look of the ship. And I like its colours. I think the whiteness of the sails goes well together with the other colours.
  25. Though I was 8 when pirates were released the first time, I only have few pirate sets. I'm especially looking forward to the pirate ship. Welcome to our community!
