Sorry, I can only answer question 4: There are 64 pieces of flex-track in one package. That's quite easy to find out. Just go to shop.lego.com and look for the set. There this information is provided.

Thanks for this review. I find this set average, so I'm not going to buy it. Especially the style of the house looks quite simple, but I really like the oven to bake pizzas! What I also like is that this set comes with a wide range of different bricks. There are a lot of ordinary bricks plus many window glasses and frames for them. If I bought it, I'd buy it for the bricks.

Do you know what would be absolutey cool, amazing and fantastic? A turntable for trains with several engine sheds! I've seen one or two for 9V on brickshelf. No idea how the rails of the turntable and the rails leading to the engine sheds were provided with electricity. Anway, with RC tracks and PF-trains a turntable could be built much more easily. Well, I fear I'm expecting too much from TLC...

Sometimes I wash my hands before I touch my bricks. My LEGO stuff is in a room down in the cellar, so no sunlight can harm the colours of the bricks. And little children are not allowed to play with my stuff! I've got some older bricks and plates for children, but I've never needed them. There aren't so many children hanging around here, and if they are, they don't want to play with LEGO anyway.

Thanks for this review we have all been waiting for so impatiently. Very nice pictures from all angles! I voted excellent, because this set is absolutely brilliant. It surpasses all train sets we have seen. A must-own for all train fans! I also hope that TLC releases more waggons for this set. Another passenger car would be fantastic! If they produce two more passenger cars, the better it is for us!

I voted for minimalist design. It's the simplicity of classic town sets I find so appealing. The designers had to work hard to create a good set since there weren't so many special bricks available back then. I really love that simply style. It also spreads a feeling of nostaliga. Maybe I'm simply biased since I was born in 1981 and grew up with a lot of classic sets... at least I saw them in the shops and catalogues. I don't own many of them.

Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
legotrainfan replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Holodoc, thanks for providing us with so many pictures on your brickshelf account! I've been asking myself if you could build a full circle with one set of flex-tracks, and, after looking at your pics, I know you can.- 559 replies

According to brickset, I have 352 minfigs, but I've lost some of those. But once I also bought several castle minifigs. So I believe I should have ca. 370 minifigs.

Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
legotrainfan replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
If there are stickers left for other waggons, I think it is likely that a separate waggon will be released. TLG hasn't really made much effort to adjust a sticker sheet to a specific set. For High Speed Train 4511 there were additional sets, namely 10158 and 10157. I've got 4511 and 10157, and the sticker sheet 10157 came with was identical to the one of 4511. So why should TLC produce a sticker sheet with redundant stickers without thinking about releasing a waggon? Just a theory. Maybe they also believe that AFOLS will build their own waggons anyway and can thus use those extra stickers. But I haven't given up hope that an extra waggon for Emerald Night will indeed be released.- 559 replies

I like your truck the way it is! And it is 4-wide! I can't remember when I last saw a 4-wide truck! What I find fantastic in particular is your use of those yellow hinges.

I just want to ask you about the experiences you've made with used bricks bought on bricklink. A short time ago I got a used hinge bucket bought on bricklink. Its condition is terrible. There are slight coloured dots on it and a little hole in it through which you could probably push a needle. But I didn't complain. With this hinge bucket some other bricks that had been marked as new arrived as well. As their condition indicated, they were in excellent condition. And the seller was so kind to inform me that he had charged too much for shipping and transferred that money back to my bank account! Really honest! So I didn't complain though that used hinge bucket among the new bricks is in terrible condition. On the other hand, I've made some good experiences with used bricks. I can remember buying old hinges from a German bricklink store: They looked like new! If they had been sold as new, I'd have believed it! I hope this matter has not been discussed yet. Otherwise, please lock this topic or merge it with a similar topic.

Great and funny idea! Hilarious scene! I didn't think that bosses would take such measures during the economic crisis.

I wish you a wonderful and happy birthday!

Thanks for the review! I simply wanted to get this brand new pirate minifig; that's why I bought this set, but I also like the high number of different utensils. The minifig also has print on its back, which was not the case with the classic pirates. And I like that print! It's a lovely detail. Looks like the pirate is not starving too quickly. After eating the fish, he can still fry the snake as well. PS. I voted "above average."

If you phone the customer service, you can get straight tracks only.
-
When you've phoned them, let me now if it has worked and if you're getting the plates. But I'm pretty sure it'll work without any problems.
-
Do you mean set 7996 by double points? If yes, they're no longer produced. I'd buy them quickly if you really want them. Some can still be found on eBay for a moderate price.
-
Basically a good idea, but I believe there're people already doing this: using the peeron parts list and then buying the pieces to create discontinued sets. I myself played with the thought of creating a castle that way. But the older the set, the harder it is to find the discontinued elements for it. And TLC does not produce every element all the time, and they won't have discontinued elements in stock forever.
-
Did you phone the customer service and ask for 32x32 baseplates? If yes, it is not surprising that they said "no go" since those have been out of production for a while. Just phone again and ask for blue 16x32 baseplates. There are some in the Taj Mahal set, so there's a chance of getting them when phoning the customer service.

Simple in style but definitely nice for the eyes. Perfect colour scheme: white house plus the green of the plants. You even considered the fact that sunflowers always move their heads towards the sun. So you didn't put the blossom on the top of the plant but on its side.

Nice little building! Great use of limited space! I like it how you used round 1x1 plates as little pies.

What parts do you wish were on PaB online?
legotrainfan replied to jonwil's topic in General LEGO Discussion
All train plates in both sizes and different colours. -
To Minifig, or not to Minifig...
legotrainfan replied to k_peek_2000's topic in General LEGO Discussion
To minifig or not to minifig.......... are you sure you quoted Shakespeare's Hamlet correctly?! I don't care so much about the minifigs. I usually look at the set as a whole. So I also like the Creator sets even though they would need one or two minifigs. But having hardly any minifigs in other sets would be bad indeed! I don't want my LEGO city to be underpopulated. -
Hi and welcome! Since you're also looking for grey parts, I want to inform you that the grey (light and dark grey) you used to know does not exist anymore. Now there's only bluish grey and dark bluish grey available. For old grey and bricks in general you could also check bricklink.com in case you don't know it yet.

You built an awesome church! The different roofs are well-designed! Great work, really!
