  1. Wow, this bridge is absolutely brilliant and stunning! Wonderful MOC! And there's enough room between the bridge and the ground for other trains or ships to pass under it.
  2. Very nice replica of a real-life locomotive! Looks very good! Very close to the real thing!
  3. Signed. Would be a pity if the pirate sets disappeared from the shelves so quickly. There are rumours that there will be new pirate sets in some years from now. But who knows if that will really be the case?!
  4. Splendid moc! I particularly like the design of the roof and the figs having a picnic.
  5. Mistakes happen if you contact TLC's customer service, but genereally they are very friendly and try to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  6. Since I like Star Trek pretty much, I feel obliged to say that this is an amazing moc! Your friend did a brilliant job! I particularly find the saucer section amazing!
  7. Just plain no is my answer to the poll! After the Spyrius series of 1994 no nice space sets have been produced. Here I exclude Star Wars since it is a licensed theme and nothing that TLC itself created. They just reproduced the vehicles and spaceships of the film with LEGO bricks. And even though many Star Wars sets look great, I don't own one and don't want to have one unless someone gives me such a set as a present. It's just not real LEGO space stuff for me.
  8. Happy birthday to all of you!
  9. A modular school building with several floors would be wonderful!
  10. I find this train truly train-tacular! Some do not like its front and back sections, but I find the whole train soo great! I wanted it much when I was a child, but the first train sets I got were released at the very beginning of the 9V era. Not getting 7745 prevented me from the frustration of having a discontinued system with no rails to add.
  11. Actually I like BURPs and LURPs. I believe they can be very useful when building a mountain. Of course, the mountain shouldn't be built with BURPs and LURPs only. But one BURP here and a LURP there isn't so bad.
  12. The fence piece has been used in the recent past: 8654 Scuderia Ferrari Truck (2005), 7904 City Advent Calendar 2006, 7994 City Harbor (2007). Just to name a few sets. As for the promo sets, I only like 30003 Steam Roller! A must-get!
  13. I got this set as a Christmas present. Actually my family tried to give me 4512 Cargo Train but couldn't find it anywhere anymore. So they bought 4511 instead. I don't like this high speed train so much: no doors, big elements in the front section. Yet, I'm happy to own a copy. By the way, Panda, did your 4511 come with old grey or bley bricks? Mine was with old gray, but I think that it was produced with bley elements later. What annoyed me tremendously was that sets 10157 High Speed Train Locomotive and 10158 High Speed Train Car came with bley bricks! I don't own 10158, but I have 10157. I bought all the grey bricks for 10157 in old grey and substituted the bley ones with them. Thanks for the review, Panda! Nice that you added doors to your High Speed Train! Edit: I voted below average.
  14. Nice and detailed review including a good practical test (checking if the boat really floats). However, I don't like this set so much. There were other boats that looked better.
  15. The theater; but I was tempted to vote for the town hall. The garage, however, is nothing special in my opinion.
  16. Great moc. I first associated the title "Off with her head" with Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It's the queen that is always saying it. Very nice creation! But poor queen! And poor guy whose turn it was before the queen's.
  17. I hope you soon got other train sets. The train track snow remover without other train sets is no fun. My first train set was Road and Rail Maintenance 4546. I got it in November 1991 for my birthday. I told my parents that I wanted that set so much as a birthday present. I knew I'd be a great addition to what I was wishing for Christmas of the same year: Load and Haul Railroad 4563, Manual Level Crossing 4539, and Straight Rails 4515. And I really got what I'd been wishing! And my brother got Railroad Tractor Flatbed 4543 for Christmas. How convenient!
  18. Quite many ramp rails by which the train can change levels. I'm wondering if this guy also has the two space monorails (6990 and 6991). The ramp rails didn't come with the extension backs 6347 and 6921, so he or she must have many 6399s and probably 6990s and/or 6991s. Anyway, this layout is amazing!!
  19. I'd prefer the sets from 1991. I love their classic style. Since TLC has changed dimensions, the sets of 1991 and 2007 are incompatible. The container sizes are different and the vehicles aren't 4-wide but 6-wide now. Also the ship of 7994 is much bigger than the ships of the sets released in 1991. I prefer the wonderful style of the older sets to more realism of the newer ones.
  20. I prefer grey ones. Old light grey ones to be precise: 6310, 6311, 6312, 6313.
  21. I throw them away... though it always costs me some effort to really do that. It also depends on the piece itself and how damaged it is. Sometimes I keep damaged pieces.
  22. I wouldn't go for 4954. It's out of production and is only available for high prices on bricklink and eBay. Either you buy tan bricks on bricklink or you buy a second Family Home 6754. These are the two solutions I can think of.
  23. Great little set! A true and wonderful classic tanker truck! Surprisingly, the trailer has only got one axle in contrast to the Octan gas truck 6594. And I like this Shell tanker because it has doors with print. The Octan truck has only got stickers and no print at all.
  24. How many speed regulators do you actually need to supply four 9V motors with electricity? I only use one speed regulator. If there are 3 motors on the layout, they do not move fast because all three need too much electricity. With only two motors on the layout, this is no problem. But 4 motors should hardly move. Did you overcome this problem with more speed regulators or did you have another solution?
  25. Sad but true. I can only agree with TheBrickster here. The "Save 9V Campaign" had no effect. Another campaign won't have an effect either. So for me there's no point in discussing this matter. However, I'd be willing to pay 30 euro for a set of straight 9V tracks and 45 euro for a brand new 9V motor if TLC offered them for such a price. Such a price increase would be no problem for me as long as the stuff is still produced. But prices for these two things are now going to rise tremendously on eBay, bricklink, etc. since they're out of production.
