If the new pirate line is a success or failure is too early to say. In many countries the new pirate sets have not yet been released. I live in Austria and I am still waiting for their release. And then you must see how well they will sell at Christmas this year in those countries where they have not been released so far.

Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
legotrainfan replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Well, what I find strange is that the female minifig's torso of that supposedly new set looks so bare. There's nothing printed on it, and nowadays there is something printed on the torso of every minifig. ...maybe the female minifig's torso just looks bare because of the quality of the pic. I don't know.- 559 replies

Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
legotrainfan replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
If this set's a fake, the faker was careful enough not to forget the new buffers. I've no idea if it's a fake or not; I hope it's not. If it's not, we finally have the first leaked picture of a train set. If this is going to turn out to be an official set, I'm wondering how it is powered. PF-power, supposedly; or it might not be powered at all. Just a push-along train, who knows.- 559 replies

Just this week on Wednesday I saw the two pirate impulse set in an interspar shopping centre. So those two sets are already available in Austria, but not the other sets belonging to the pirate line.

At shop at home I bought two 9V motors 10153. Once again, but I had to buy two more as long as they are still available and cheap.

A gift from Lego to me!
legotrainfan replied to Admiral Blockbeard's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've never had an experience like that with TLC. Normally, I tend to inform them about things they already know in the form of a complaint, but they are already aware of the things I criticise (colour problems, brick quality, etc.). But I find it incredibly nice of TLC to say "thank you" that way. I believe that hardly any enterprise would do that for a customer that has informed them about a problem. -
What Series do you wish Lego never made

That's why I clicked on "other." I was also thinking of Galidor. -
I voted for great! It's a wonderful ship, but as you say I also believe it's not a toy for lil' children. Though I know it isn't minifig scale, it would've been nice if you had put a minifig near the ship. Just for size comparison's sake. I would have found such a comparison interesting.

Having two spacemen in there does not bother me at all. Maybe this is because I don't have so many classic space sets. Unfortunately, the spacemen come with the newer helmets, which is no real surprise since the spacemen of vol. 1 also came with the same helmet. But I'm eagerly waiting to see a castle minifig in those collections.

I have found no strange stuff in my LEGO bricks.... apart from the usual dust on the bricks. But once I checked our Playmobil that was in an old basket where I found the following things: LEGO bricks, an old battery, wooden bricks, and keychains. I was especially delighted with the LEGO bricks when I found them.

My condolences to his father and aunt, who tried to make him so happy on his birthday. That's a really sad story. And it must be a heavy blow to the boy's father, first losing his wife and then his only son. It'll take a long time till he has recovered from both losses; maybe it's not possible to recover at all...

I believe that small extra parts like round 1x1 plates are intentional extra pieces. I thought that the weighing process had difficulties with such small elements like those round plates, so that some extra pieces are included to make sure that all elements necessary for the build are in the box. As for the bigger pieces and extra bags, those must be real errors. How they can slip through the weighing process, I don't know; unless there is no weighing process at all.
