  1. I have two forklift trucks with a problem. One truck doesn't have a spring for the lifting mechanism anymore. The other fork lift truck still has a spring, but it is terribly worn out. My question is: Where can you get springs? I phoned TLC and they told me I had to buy the whole lift fork assembly, but I only need the spring. Even on bricklink I only find the complete assembly. Does the spring have no separate element number, so that I could find it on bricklink?
  2. I also believe that they are not going to make so much profit in 2009 due to the economic crisis. However, it's good news that 2008 was such a good year for TLC. And I hope that they can still make a lot of profit with the sets being released this year.
  3. That was my introduction. I wrote it in the "TLC's stupidest decision" thread. I saw the thread for introductions too late but introduced myself there as well, then providing some more details about myself. Well, what shall I say? Castle Town Square 10193 has awoken my interest in the castle theme again, but I think my newly aroused interest will remain limited to that set. And Emerald Night 10194 has made me partly forget the end of the 9V era; but only PARTLY and not completely! And I've become used to bley; I sometimes even appreciate the existence of light bley.

  5. Skull Island 6279. It is MI(S)B and not MISB, because the seller states that the outer seals have failed. Anyway, all little plastic bags are sealed. I simply prefer new and untouched bricks! And I don't have so much pirate stuff. So it's time to extend my very, very small pirate collection.

  10. I wish you a happy birthday! I hope you're enjoying this day!
  11. Klaus Dieter, I'm not sure if I understand your idea correctly... 9V and RC tracks can already be linked; the connecting mechanism is the same. I highly doubt that you can link the old 12V tracks with the flexible tracks. I think the new flexible tracks are being produced so we train nuts are able to create different curved radiuses.
  12. I think that those mysterious flexible tracks will be compatible with 9V/RC tracks. I mean the gauge of the wheels hasn't changed. So I don't think that TLC will discontinue the RC tracks. I believe that the flexible tracks will be an addition to the existing RC track sets.
  13. Oh, that MISB-thing is really a difficult question to answer! Well, I myself have a handful of MISB sets, but not any special or really expensive sets. I keep them in MISB condition because I'm running out of space and have nowhere to put them. I do open sets that are in production right now, and even though they are big, I open them and put them somewhere. Really paradoxical since I said I was running out of space. Well, the difference is: the small sets are old ones and the others new ones. But I think I'll open the old ones sooner or later. Keep them in MISB condition when you are going to sell them, because you'll make more profit when the bricks are untouched. I myself often prefer buying older MISB sets because then I know those sets are complete and all the bricks are in perfect condition without any broken or discoloured pieces. Another question you have to ask yourself: If you decide not to open the set, how long do you want to keep it sealed? I mean no one lives forever, and maybe your grandchild will have the pleasure of opening it; a pleasure you denied yourself.
  14. I just checked S@H. Now Emerald Night shows up as the theme picture of the trains of S@H Austria as well. I didn't check all the coutries that have S@H, but this should now be the case everywhere. And, of course, you can't buy it in Austria. Not yet. It's not listed as an item for purchase. But knowing that it's going to be available soon, I believe I'm going to sleep better. Would've been a pity if it had been a fake and nothing more.

  18. The Classic Train set 3225! You're totally right! It came with a motor and no tracks! I didn't think of this one... though I own it! For LEGO Express 4534 there wasn't an additional passenger car either; passenger wagon 10015 was identical to the one in that set, but it was green and not blue.
  19. This is a wonderful moc! The idea to build a luggage rack is brilliant, and it is that little detail that I find so amazing!
  20. I find it pretty sure that no motor will be included. In the past few years, TLC has never released a non-beginner set with a motor. The steam locomotive 10205, Santa Fe engine 10020, and the BNSF engine 10133 all came without motors. If rails are included in this set, a motor will also be included, but it does not look as if it came with rails.
  21. For me it is an average set which is not bad at all. I think I'm going to buy it sooner or later. I'd be happy to have that unique minifig, and I always need bricks anyway.
  22. I think there's no need for more baseplates in sets. If you're in urgent need of blue baseplates, phone the customer service and ask them to sell you some. There are several blue 16x32 baseplates in Taj Mahal 10189, which means those blue plates are available through the custormer service. Indeed, it's a pity that the big blue 32x32 plate isn't produced anymore, but the 16x32 baseplate is sufficient provided it remains available.
  23. Best themes: 1. City (For me this theme includes trains, the modular houses, and the factory and creator houses.) 2. Castle (from the beginning 80s till the mid-90s) 3. Pirates (Here I'm thinking of the old pirate sets more than of the new ones.) Worst themes: 1. Galidor 2. Bionicle 3. Exo-Force

  25. I also hope Freddie is right! Thanks for that information! I don't care if LEGO releases no second waggon for this set. To get a second waggon, I'd just buy the necessary pieces et voilà I've got a second waggon. No problem at all. And I'd even pay 110 euro for it. My train addiction is too great to ignore this wonderful set!
