This is a really supberb locomotive with a great window! The colours scheme looks extremely nice. Your engine is also very detailed.

I doubt if ordering all the necessary pieces for one or more Santa Fe coaches would really be cheaper. Due to the discontinuation of old grey, those pieces are not cheap. Also some elements in old grey can be pretty expensive like the old dark grey waggon baseplate or element #6081 (peeron number) in old light gray. Maybe you'd have to buy some elements from various sellers. This means that you must pay for multiple shipments. That could be dear, too.

6305 Trees and Flowers, but I'm not a hundred percent sure. I'd have to check if I've still got a box of this set. My memory might be deceiving me. This set was released in 1980. I was born a year later, but I think it was available for quite a while. If I'm deceived and it's not my oldest set, then Blacksmith Shop 6040 is my oldest set. It was released in 1984. Unfortunately, I lost the blacksmith with his rare brown cape a long time ago.

I also want to say thank you for all these stunning sets you have created for us! I'd also like to say thank you in andvance for all those amazing sets that you are going to build in the future! I didn't tick of the Flyer, the Cool Convertable and the Fire Brigade. I ticked off the rest in the poll.

6482 Rescue Helicopter, MI(S)B, and 6780 XT-Starship, MISB. Both on bricklink.

I've got a 9V train motor from 1991, and it still works nicely. But it has never had to pull too many waggons. So I don't know how long such a motor works till it finally fails.

Yes, that's what I meant. I'm curious if TLC will respond.

Another nice modular! Thanks for the pic! In contrast to the modular Fire Brigade, I'm getting this one. My town needs a story anyway. So I'm looking forward to its official release. And my Cafe Corner, Market Street and Green Grocer are also looking forward to this set.

Phone TLC and tell them the set in which they appear. It doesn't automatically mean that TLC hasn't got any only because they aren't listed on PaB. I've often phoned TLC because of pieces that cannot be found on PaB, and I often got the elements I wanted.

Model Town House 4954, MISB, on eBay.

That is a very nice commuter train, but it's colours slightly remind me of the Holiday train. Green is missing, though.

I phoned TLC and ordered some bricks for my windmill project (Vesta copy). I also ordered two electric cables with plates plus two light bricks. I'd like to equip two of my engines with a working light. And four elements for two buffer stops.

After seeing so many official sets with enormously big front pieces, you're creation is a real delight! Wonderful plane! Great job!

TLC sent me replacement parts. I also got new slopes since the ones in my Green Grocer came with a little crack. Unfortunately, the new slopes also have that little crack. TLC asked my to send them the two pieces with the misprint and the slopes. I did that. I also added a letter in which I stated that the new slopes they had sent me had the same flaw as the ones I orginally got in the Green Grocer. Let's wait and see how this will turn out.

I find this set oustanding because it has high playability and a wonderful colour scheme. I got this set second hand on eBay. The instructions came in very bad condition, but the seller stated so in the description. The seller didn't have the box anymore, but the actual set was in excellent conditioin. The seller said that his son had hardly ever played with it. All the bricks looked amazingly clean without a bit of dust on them. It had been lying in a place where no dust could gather on it. And I got the unused sticker sheet! Wow! I paid between 60 and 70 euro for it. It was a very good purchase, I believe. By the way, shouldn't the railway logo on the hopper waggon be white instead of black?

When I was a child, I was a castle fanatic. On my Christmas wishlists there were many sets of the late 80s and beginning 90s. I loved the Middle Ages. You can't imagine how many times my forestmen deceived the knights. I loved playing with the forestmen figs. My fantasy was working well, and that's what you need for scenarios taking place in the Middle Ages. In 1991 the 9V train series started, and that's when I slowly changed my focus. Trains and town are two themes that are, in my opinion, inextricably interlinked. I can simply use Legoist's quote to describe what I mean: Thanks, Legoist. You formulated precisely my own opinion.

I have no idea how to disassemble them. However, I think I'll check my layout once again, so I can really sure it's not a problem that was produced through the layout itself. But I strongly feel that I have got one or two malfunctioning switches. Thanks, Matt, for trying to help me.
-
No, I don't have two ovals connected with switches. What I have as part of my layouts are track constructions like these (Click here). Though both switches are set correctly, both trains on the parallel tracks between the switches move forward. But thanks for trying to help!

This moc is absolutely great! I love how the underground is put under the city. You must have needed an enormous amount of bricks to raise the city to that level, so that it's high enough to create a route for the underground beneath it.

No ideas? No advice? That's a pity. I was hoping for the ultimate solution to this problem. I hope that sooner or later someone will post here. Come on, guys, don't let me down!
-
That's a very nice idea, but I was also totally satisfied with train tech being a subforum of trains & town. Anyway, it's not a bad decision at all to completely separate trains from town.

X-large Baseplate Grey 628, Basic Bricks Deluxe 6177, and My LEGO Town 6194. Everything MISB and for only 40.48 euro.

Happy New Year to all of you!!

I had a track route like this as part of my layout, and it was not working properly: switch --------------------------- track ------------------------ switch 2nd switch exit ---------------parallel track ------------------ 2nd switch exit I didn't have a problem with all such track routes like that, only one. Though the switches were set correctly, two trains started moving. I also observed this with two trains which were both on two different dead end shunting rails moved. A second switch may be affected. Here again the switch was set correctly. I was very irritated, but just today I read a topic about that problem over at 1000steine.de. There was a user describing the same problem. First, other users suggested a short circuit, which he ruled out, and I can also rule it out. Unfortunately, no user of 1000steine.de could come up with a good solution to the problem. Now I'm asking you guys: Have you made any experiences with defect 9V switches? If yes, what causes this problem and can you repair it? I'd be very happy and grateful to hear some good advice!
