  1. In all honesty it would bug the living hell out of me if they kept that for the final design. Why only make ONE cockpit a different color?? But you're right, I too think it's likely that it'll switch back to the original color, which worked oh-so-much better.
  2. And I don't think anybody believes there WILL be Elves in 2009; we'd have heard of them by now. But keep in mind that LEGO designs themes years in advance- this could be a hint that the designers are hard at work getting an Elves theme approved by Marketing. This is a good sign for people still holding out for an Elves theme (which by the way I think is far more likely than Forestmen), and it deserves to be noted.
  3. You know what I noticed? The Galactic Enforcer has a light-blue cockpit now, instead of dark blue... but that's it. All of the other sets still have dark blue cockpits. Even the secondary cockpit on the Enforcer is still dark blue. I wonder if it's a mistake?
  4. I didn't know that! Wow, I didn't realize TLC had in-jokes. XD
  5. A few years back, I had been sending LEGO many letters about Bionicle and what I thought of it. After the third letter they sent me a free Turaga Onewa. LEGO is pretty cool about that stuff.
  6. For awhile, I just played with my older brother's LEGO collection, so it's hard to say; I'm pretty sure though, the first set that was truly MINE is:
  7. It's an open helmet, but if imagining the visors are good enough for you, then fine. Fubuking, those are the pictures I posted, but we're not allowed to post pictures that say "confidential".
  8. My point is something as trivial as minifig helmets don't stop a theme from being great, especially since SPIII seems VERY strong in the minifig department of all things. At least it's different. I think that these unclosed helmets look cool, but I agree it doesn't make much sense. They are prelims, though.
  9. This phrase is especially appropriate on a LEGO forum.
  10. Apparently I can't post pics that are marked "confidential". Sorry guys, but with a little detective work I bet you can find them.
  11. To everybody complaining about open helmets: Are we forgetting the most acclaimed Space sets in LEGO history?
  12. Yeah, looking over them, I think a lot of the figs will change. Why are the Space Police all gray? They look more suited for Blacktron. Also I'm detecting multiple Space Police torsos.
  13. I'm trying to figure out how the rotors work on the helicopter. Are they tilted into a different position right now or do they really just stay that way? Also is there some mechanism that turns both rotors at once?
  14. Closer examination of the pics: Squidman Escape: Reminds me of the Galactic Chief! Squidman is neat, but I think his legs and torso need more detail. The Police Vehicle is decent though. Freeze Ray Frenzy: Lovely! I see a Space Cycle ( ) and a nice-looking enemy vehicle. Also, classic airtanks! Gold Heist: That Police Vehicle looks PERFECT. That is a must buy for me! All in all not disappointed in the least!
  15. I think Squidman is an asylum escapee with a superhero complex.
  16. QFT. Agents and Space Police will put a dent in my wallet this year.
  17. EDIT: Nevermind, apparently I can't post these.
  18. I have to admit that the Ariel Defense Unit and Robo Attack look amazing to me. This is really starting to remind of Alpha Team!
  19. EDIT: Can't post confidential pics.
  20. Edit by Hinckley: Everyone please familiarize yourself with our site guidelines. I will unlock this topic shortly for discussion, but anyone posting pics marked "confidential" will have their account suspended. Found some pics on flickr from the 2009 Toy Fair (why this guy didn't photograph the actual sets is beyond me. ) More of Joel Johnson's photostream And from figures.com:
  21. EDIT: Nevermind, I can't post confidential pics.
  22. EDIT: New member Nohohon has found pictures of all Summer 2009 sets! Edit by Hinckley: No images stamped "confidential!" Folder Link.
  23. Good catch, and I'm sure it will be. It's got plenty of time to go through some more changes before release.
  24. The Skrall ARE supposed to be the Spartans of Bara Magna, after all. But I'm still a little disappointed with how easily Malum was captured.
  25. You answered your own question. Oh, and a general announcement: IT'S A TRAP!!!
