  1. That is fantastic! I really liked the movement and the flexing of the vessel. Looks great and you should be very proud of it! Thanks for sharing it with us.
  2. It looks great, but I've two minor comments. First, there doesn't appear to be sufficient clearance under the bridge for an Engine with pantographs and second, in real life I don't think you'ld have a structure with windows so close to the area where the crane is. Maybe you might consider having a separate structure to act as the office and just have the area under the crane to be a simple utility area. But I really like the way you've shown the evolution of your ideas and thank you for sharing it with us.
  3. That's a great looking utility diesel. Cramming a battery, motor, gearing and wiring into that small space certainly looked like a challenge.... and it's particularly nice to see it pulling an old set from the early 90s (the 4543). Thanks for sharing it with us!
  4. Here's a link to the two reviews of the Emerald Night in this forum http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28273 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59204 As for what's coming next, there is 79111 Constitution Train Chase set and you can find a link to images within this thread http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=74142. It's not available until April or so and probably isn't Christmassy enough without some enhancing.
  5. You have created a monster! A big hulking air-powered monster. Do you think it's possible to contain it within a 10-wide creation? or can it be orientated horizontally through 90 degrees so that it fits within an 8-wide? Congratulations though it sure looks impressive....
  6. I confess that when I saw the Topic was marked PoC that Proof of Concept wasn't the first thing that sprang to mind... Excellant! Yep, you've definitely got a traction problem Does increasing the train weight make a difference?, or, does that make it too heavy to move?
  7. Totally digging this one! Good luck in the competition.
  8. I think the standard of the others is really high, but here's another one for consideration. http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=77184 So long and thanks for all the fish
  9. You might be in luck though with this time of year. January is typically the time for deep discounts to appear on Lego Sets and you may be able to pick up a bargain (or two or three). I agree with the other commenters about BrickLink. It is the best for specific pieces, but I learned a lot of techniques from the Sets that I then used in my MOCs. I'd also suggest looking at Pirates Forum here as there's some great creations on show there. Fingers crossed that you can grab some bargains! And don't forget to share your work here with us....
  10. I wanted something with a big Monty Python foot in it. I wanted something with death and destruction. I wanted a terrible visual pun. So, here you go for your consideration.... Yep, the last man on earth has kicked the bucket! We, obviously, won't be around to hear the competition result but any suggestions and criticisms welcome until the end...
  11. Nicely proportioned with clean lines. Seven wide definitely gives that bonnet/hood area a great definition! Thanks for sharing it with us.
  12. I like this a lot, particularly the seven wide front grille. Thanks for sharing it with us
  13. Thank you to everyone who worked to restore the service. Now the end of the world can be MOCed and shared!
  14. Eleven figures? I count 7 I think the other four are doing a bank job in Colby city - hang on there's five in the other set.
  15. Wow! An engine, a tender, and two carriages! ....and an exploding rock thing! I'm so looking forward to this!
  16. I think the icicles work really well and the bow around the support pole looks just right. There's some good touches in this MOC. Good luck with the competition and thanks for sharing it with us!
  17. I MOD them, but rather than build the back I tend to build them upwards and outwards.
  18. It's a very effective model of a Kirk. I like the interior details you've managed to incorporate and the outside looks very wintery - especially with the 1 x 2 white files defining the top of the parapet and the window ledges. Good luck in the competition. Thanks for sharing it with us!
  19. There's some great detail work in this and I think the colour combination is definitely a winner. Thanks for sharing it with us!
  20. 900-odd pieces? So maybe a $90-$110 dollar set? That might not too bad a way of grabbing a stack of MOC-able period train pieces....
  21. Holy Smokes Batman - those are the biggest freakin' pantographs I've ever seen! I like it a lot. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  22. Nicely done! Although the Doctor Who 'Weeping Angel' is giving me the creeps
  23. Very nicely done. I particularly like the Menhirs and the megaliths. Thanks for sharing it with us!
  24. I was unsure at the start, but now I'm getting excited about that Franchise!
  25. This year I've used Bricklink extensively to help me emerge from my Dark Ages. I've ordered 21 times from seven different stores and only had one minor glitch with an order. I bought it to the stores' attention and it was promptly addressed. I was somewhat dubious about BL before I started using the service, but I like the way it works and prefer it to eBay and even prefer it to ordering direct from Lego (too high a unit price, too long a delivery time, and a limited choice).
