Well at this moments I really think the TLC has another "Super Set" yet to see the light . Just think about it? The TLC always launch a big set around Sep-Nov and commonly is a big exclusive. Anyone remember when the TLC asked us which set we want as THE 10th anniversary set and that it is going to be released in October of this year? I still think they are going to release it and that it isn´t this new Dropship-AT-OT set .

New Lego Themes announced at Toy Fari
darkrebellion replied to Tinn-man's topic in General LEGO Discussion
LEGO Prince of Persia !!!!! Now that a dream come true . I really like the idea of a POP theme and with this the great confirmation. Now I just can hope for a sweet special set of Star Tours . -
WOW!!! Just yesterday we were still talking about what will be show in the NYTF and this morning we have tons of new pics . This pics (And sets ) really look AWESOME . I will comment in each set : Snail Tank: Looks very cool and well designed and I really like the small but good sets so a must buy from my part. Also the new jetpacks are totally confirmed . Echo Base: Looks very good, not much of a set but more of a big battlepack but still a must buy for me , escpecially with that Taun Taun. Sep. Shuttle: This is one of the sets I am most looking foward . The ship is cool and small so it can occupied much space and also I like this ship and its design and last but not least the minifigs which are really great. I was hoping for a Nute since I start collecting . Y-wing: When the first pics came out I really hate this set but now it looks a lot better and I think I will buy it. Now it looks a lot more sleek and is nice sized so I think is cool. Endor: MUST BUY!!!! I just will say that . Venator: This set somewhat looks flimsy and unstable to me . Just look it really doesn´t have what I hope of an interior and the other features look very very unstable. The whole set looks so fragile and to be honest not that great . Still I will buy it but not with so much "hype" as the others. Mon Cal Cruiser: This set now looks even better and the whole set is very solid design and looking-wise but I really need to admit that the price tag was unexpected and now is such a steal . $110 for a little hangar, a little conference room and some new figs don´t justify the price . AT-OT with Republic Dropship: Now this was a really great surprise . I think the TLC really score some points whith this set. Two really cool ships in an amazing duo-pack and cool presentation. The set itself is really stunning but the price and minifigs somewhat dissapoints me . Why just some clones TLC? We can purchase lots of them in the BPs but this set had the great potential for a new Aayla Secura and a price tag that justifies it but now we just get some clones? That really dissapoints me. Also the price tag is very high . C´mon the set don´t have more than 1800 pieces and they sold it by $250? Not a fair move .

Hi, just some minutes ago I was looking around the Hasbro presentation at the NYTF 2009 and I found this "set" or "pack" : Qui-Gon Jinn and Eopie So then I have an idea . What about if the TLC decides to do a promotion similar to this one? Personally I would be really happy that the TLC somewhat "prize" the purchase of their products with a promotion similar to this one . Just think about it, if the TLC decide to put a code inside every box (Obiously all the codes must be different and with a certain value that just allow you to use it once time ) so when you got a certain number of "codes" you can upload them in an email with all your information and send it to the TLC so they can release an special mail-in offer somewhere in the future . I really think they can do it and they can give us maybe a little set with a new or rare minifig exclusive to this offer. I think a cool new speeder (Coruscant Taxi or Gian Speeder) or a new cannon/walker (Atgar Cannon or At-RT) would be great for this. So what do you think? Good or bad idea?
-
Well I think most of the people who is dissapointed by it (Including me ) hope for some minifigs mainly cause this was the unique chance we have to get a Nien Nunb minifig . I highly doubt the TLC will release another MF next year or anytime soon and also if they choose to, it would be their 5th redemption of this ship (Including this one and the other MINI) so a lot of people would be somewhat tire of purchase again this ship. Also I can agree with you that the Mid-scale size is what we were supposed to get so I understand it but I was hoping for at least one or two minifigs .
-
While looking more at the new MF I think it actually looks nice as a giant MINI and has some really cool pieces (Like the cockpit piece ) but overall I am still very disspaointed an the worst part is that I need to buy it as a completist , oh well I will put it at the bottom of my want list. I just wish that the TLC don

Wow! New sets pics are always welcome, thanks vulture for the pics . 7778 MF: I just can´t believe how they can ruin such a potential set . This set is pretty bad in my opinion. No minifigs, looks expensive for what you get and after all, who wants a super MINI ? I think they could have approched this $30 set slot with a nice little OT set or even a CW one but no, they just decide to ruin one of the OT sets this year . 7753 Pirate Tank: Actually this set really interests me . The ship looks fantastic and I always love some new "No warships" style vehicles (Even if this is used for "kill" I think it isn´t really involved at the war ) and this one looks VERY interesting and with a nice piece count . The Pirates minifigs are great but I hoped for a new Jar Jar or even another different Pirate instead of another Obi Wan , but hey you can´t always have everything .

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
darkrebellion replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I have seen your folder in BS sometimes and I need to congrats you cause your collection is one of the most impressive I have seen . Your display really looks great . -
This new pics of the Mon Calamari Cruiser look AWESOME!!!! . This set is a lot better than I think it would be . I wished for the whole ship but this one really don´t dissapoint . First the minifig selection is one of the best I have ever seen ! Just look 5 totally new minifigs and a rare one , I just love that Crix Madine minifig (I was right about the minifig selection after all ) and that new Lando and Mon Mothma are really cool. The new Ackbar is amazing and one of the minifigs that the TLC really needed to release and even better they also include a Mon Calalami mechanic . I am glad that they decide to release this new A-wing in green, that was my favorite color for this ship and now it is a reality. The conference room looks very detailed and I hope they include a new DS hologram piece. The hangar looks very solid and neat designed, also it looks like the rail-crane is totally functional. Also this pic leave me with a little interrogant. What is the function of that large technic piece that overcomes from the middle of the hangar? Maybe it is a function of the set but to me it looks a lot more like something to attach another section , maybe the new Flacon comes with some kind of little hangar bay that you can connect with this set or maybe a new set with a connectable section comes in the next wave of sets in 2010. Anyone can think on a new Impeial Shuttle .

I choose the "display" option . When I started collecting LSW I was a kid so I really played with my sets, I really miss all does titanic battles where all the "battlefield" (AKA sets ) where massively destroyed and rebuilded at the end . Now I am a dedicated collector so I try to don´t mix or lose any piece and I leave my sets totally complete , I have a special room where I display all my collection that is free of sunlight and more organized then my room .

Thanks for another great review ADHO15 . Your review make me want this set again , I considered to buy it some months ago but seeing it was around a $200 price tag MISB was a hard choice and better decided to pass and buying the RFT (By far the best set of 2008) and save some money for later. In my opinion this is the best designed old set it still looks great after 10 years!!! The designs are stunning, the color schemes awesome colorful and the minifigs superb (I really like Sebulba because even if he is just one piece it is well molded and I am sure a minifig-like version of him would look really bad ).
-
Thanks for the news Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! . Well now this looks like the "trilogy" that deserved the stand of the movie in first place but they decided to go with that Rotta kidnapped-plot . I can manage to see some nice details: - We see more of the CW Y-wing . - You can see (For a second or two) the Hyena Bomber in action ! - Looks like Mace is going to have some action time. - The whole score is great. - The new CIS general looks great. - The battle sequences look the best of the series.

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
darkrebellion replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I just finish of see "Hidden Enemy" and I really love this new episode , it was just AWESOME!!!! I think the opening sequence is a great introduction to the episode and finally we can see that the BDs can be a lot more serious troops then some of the previous episodes have pointed out . I mean, I think that some comedy is good but they just represent the BDs in a way that you can hardly comprend how the war last 3 years . I really liked the Rex-Cody conversations and dialogues too , I think the writters done a superb job on this episode . The story was great even if I was a bit sceptic by the clichésiness of the episode argument . The way they interviewed the little batallion members was awesome in my opinion and I love all that suspense in that scenes. Also the "droid-fingers necklace" idea was great cause it adds a creppy feeling to the episode . The lightsaber battle was cool but I especially liked the conversetion between Obi Wan and Asajj . It shows how they even battling to death feel "attraction" by each other as Dave Filoni explains in the movie commentary of the 2-discs DVD or the Blu-ray version of the movie (It worths a check in youtube or if you own the movie in this formats cause it express the feelings of Filoni for the series and gives hints to future episode too, I need to advertise anyone that wants to see it that it is an hour and a half commentary ). The near end o the episode explains why the Republic was so outnumbered the CIS army and why they just have the cannons at the beggining of the battle . And to finish I need to admit I just the last melee fight sequence, I think is that shows how the clones are also letal weapons by themselves and not just grabbing a blaster , also we don´t see that kind of fight sequences so it is good to see some diversity in the SW saga. I like how the episode finished and how they manage to give Cody, Rex and the rest of the clones a good participation. At the end, a really good episode and maybe my favorite yet I just wish they continue giving us even better episodes in the future. Keep the excellent work up CW team !!! -
Now this is what I call AN AMAZING MOC!!!! . I really imagined that someone could do a rather big one that can carry MOC MTT and similar to the size of the 10188 but your MOC really go further than that. Your MOC get everything right . The ship is one of the biggest SW MOCs I have ever seen . And everything is amazingly accurate . The colors are great and my favorite part is how you manage to do that big CIS symbols in the wings . I just have one question, it is fragile or you can grab it without problems?

Wow, now this is a strange move by part of the TLC . This is definitely the most strange combination for a magnet set at this moment. Just think about it, the TLC practically ruin their own sales here . Now I am almost sure that many people aren´t going to get the SS, the RAS or the AAT (All this sets has their major sale point in their exclusive minifigs but now we can get all of them for just $12). Don´t get me wrong, this are a greatful surprise for us the FOLs but it is a bit strange move from the TLC.
-
Well, I think a Geonosis Arena set at a $150-$200 price point would make a very iconic set . I think this mainly cause it is one of the few sets that we really still need.

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
darkrebellion replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I just finish of see "Trespass" and I think is maybe my favorite episode . First, the episode starts with a good introduction and some really beautiful ice landscapes . Then there is the main conflict that "someone" attacked the Republic outpost and at this point I could confirm that the president isn´t the bad guy, a theory I made from the teaser, in fact anyone is the real "Bad guy" in my opinion. After that we saw that the CIS isn´t the one that kill all those clones and how the president gets very angry and his attitude was great (I know he is a "bad" guy but that dialogues really benefit the story in a good way ). Then we see the great negotiation scene with Obi Wan and Anakin with the Talz chief , I really like how they did their effort to comunicate with the Talz. The next scene of the great hostile negotiation was really intriguing and in my opinion of the the best of the episode , I really like how the Talz chief just leave the scene rather then hit the president or kill someone . After such a good scene I don´t think it could get any better until I discovered what was my favorite scene, the ambush ! Now that was a really good action scene. The way the Talz started to kill the clones and the president bodyguards and in a how awesome way Rex leaved his speeder bike . They built a little barrier until Rex manage to escape with the president. At the end the episode finish in a great way with the solution of the young senator . In my opinion this one goes in the category of the masterpieces (This also contain "Duel of the Droids", "Cloak of Darkness", "Lair of Grevious" and "Jedi Crash" in my opinion). The next episode looks good but nothing that surprise me at all and also the story sound a bit too much cliché . -
Hi, while looking again at the CW movie I get the idea of this topic and I think that it is a good idea (I know I get inspiration of certainly uninspiring moments ). The fact that we are almost at the end of our beloved SW license and even if there is a big possibility of a re-new of the license I think there is also a small possibility that it will be gone forever . After that little introduction the question is the next one: Which do you think will be the TLC´s grand finale sets/wave/exclusive? Also the ideas must be possible (With this I mean that please don´t post things like a set with 300 different minifigs and a giant stand for $50 ). I will give my idea later casue I need to attend some things.

I think a RotJ MF would be A LOT better than the PT "spin-off" in my opinion. The reasons are simple: Better color scheme, a lot more iconic and the best part some of the minifigs I ever wanted since I start collecting back in 2003, yes I am talking about Lando and Nien Numb .
-
Well, if we consider the 7748 and 7749 like common release set, we end having just the 7754 and the 7753 as possible exclusives so we need another two (This just work if the TLC continue their "2 TRU, 1 Traget, 1 Wal-mart" like rule). So maybe there is still a possibility that the Palpatine Arrest is released.

Hi, while looking at the "TCW: The Untold Stories" in the extra features in my CW movie I got the idea of this topic. The question is simple: Which do you think will be Ahsoka´s fate? This topic is for speculation only, that means that spoilers or content of actual or future episodes aren´t allowed . So without futher talking, here is my theory: I think (Or at least wish ) that Ahsoka ends dead at the end of this series . I hope for an eleborate finale rather than just kill her at a battle. What about if throught out the series Ahsoka begins to discover the real intentions of the Chancellor Palpatine and she get convinced more and more that there is an elaborate plan behind the war. A the end Ahsoka and Palpatine could end fighting with Ahsoka resulting dead . I think that could be a really exciting finale for the series or at least a pre-finale for something a lot better . So what do you think/expect/hope?

Can you clarify this point lemomilk .

Well to me this new pics look great . First I think this are almost finished pics with just a few changes from what will be the actual sets (Mainly in the minifigs) but are still very clear. I think we know almost everything that appears in this pics from a long time ago but I really love the possibility that this pics have to see close-ups of some minifigs with clever definition and detail . I am almost extremely surethat the Neimodian is Nute Gunray and here are my reasons: - First the set seems to be based in the "Bombad Jedi" episode cause the selection of minifigs. - Maybe the color is a bit bley but Gunary isn´t that green at all and maybe is just that some pics make him look greenish. Also the TLC could easily change the color range for a more accurate minifig or ship (cough*Flying Wing*cough ). - Lok Durd use blue tunics and clothes and Gunray use orange and red in the "Bombad Jedi" episode. - I doubt we will se Lok Durd in some time cause he is captured by the Republic at the end of "Defenders of Peace" (I know the CIS could rescue him but I doubt they will do considering the minor importance of him in the series at the moment. - I think the kids will know A LOT more who is Nute Gunray one of the most influent CIS leaders than a simple weapon designer and minor general like Lok Durd .

"Oh No! This must be George Lucas´ Trash Compactor!" - Just hilarious . Yeah I have know about this movie just a few days ago when ign.com post the trailer. I need to said my favorite part is the lightspeed pursuit .

Wow! I have been looking for hours but just now decide to post and I need to admit I really love this new pics. Finally we get pics of Nute and Farr and also some nice pics of Hoth and Endor too . The only thing that dissapoints me is that all of these are still very preliminary in my opinion and I think we need to wait till the International TF to see what we are going to get . I am very pleased by the new AT-ST and I think is something really important in this new Endor set, just lookat that walker is maybe the best designed AT-something since the old AT-AT in my opinion , not even the new AT-TE can beat this new AT-ST model . Also I really hope the TLC is going to reveal a big Anniversary set in the TF (I don´t mean UCS or the Mon Cal Cruiser), anyone remember when the TLC asked us what we want as an anniversary set to be probably released in October 2009 and have a $150-$200 price point? Well I remember it and now I am really looking foward to that "rumor".
