  1. In my opinion the only thing they need to improve in the next installment is better vehicle missions . I really HATE the airplane mission in COD4 but absolutely love "Blood and Iron" and "Blackcats" in COD5 (Especially the second one ). I want vehicle mission like that ones. Also I want some fun to get trophies (In case anyone have an Xbox 360 achivements) because the ones in COD5 leave me satisfy but I want more variety (With this I mean I want something more than "Beat "x" level in veteran".
  2. I especially love the dark colors because for some reason I really think they add some "mature" feel to the sets and MOCs. Also I think the new Lime Green from PM and Orange are awesome colors and among my favorites as well. If I can choose a color I don´t like (Something that is really hard considering I love all of them ) I could choose White mainly cause it looks rather ugly if not used to add detail or snow in a MOC.
  3. Great review . I really think this set is one of those I really wanted to buy but never had the chance . The whole set is one of the smartest packs I have seen from the TLC. Think about it, this is the perfect combination, a little "ship", some b"background" elelments and exclusive figs, also you can add the exceptional price. Looking at sets like this one I really miss the old days when the TLC gave us some really great little sets apart from random battlepacks .
  4. Great review . I still can´t know why so many people consider this set so ugly to me it looks ok (Not great but not all that bad) and by the way the old Sith Infiltrator looked a lot blockier in my opinion . This set looks fine but a redo is totally needed too. Anyone can imagine how great an Otho Gunga playset with this sub and some minifigs (Including Boss Nass) could be?
  5. By the look of that new episode list it seems like this new second season has more mature episodes than the first one , something I really think will benefit the series. I am especially looking foward to "Cargo of Doom" because of this points: - It features Oppo Ranciss - The story sounds great - It takes place in Mustafar - Cad Bane is awesome This episode has a lot of potential I just hope they don´t ruin it like some episodes of the first season .
  6. Wow! What a long time since I posted my last topic here in Eurobricks and sadly this new one is about a sad issue. The thing is that I feel I am near to my first Dark Age but I simply don
  7. C-3PO all the way !!!! He looks better in chrome and also is makes more sense than Vader. I don´t think C-3PO is the best character they could have done in chrome , in my opinion that one is Jar Jar (Just kidding ).
  8. WOW!!! "Innocents of Ryloth" was amazing . I really like this episode for many things but here are a few of them: - In my opinion, THE FIRST episode that shows really how the inhabitants of a planet live in a war . I really have an emotional shock when the poor little girl found that her house was destroyed and with no sign of her parents (At the same time, it was the best emotional scene so far in the series ). - Some innovative (At least from what I have seen ) uses of the Force. - The whole atmosphere was really good. - One of the first droid commanders that are a REAL PROBLEM for the Republic. - The part with the droid washing the floor was just hilarious . Also thanks Oky Wan Kenobi for the link to that Cad Bane preview . Now that looks like the first "baddie" episode in the series or at least the first one that doesn´t feel that kiddy. Also the first time we seen Anakin and Padme kissing each other in the CW.
  9. In my opinion the old CW were better . Here are my points: - The new CW have longer and SOMETIMES better stories but as a whole I don´t feel that the stories have a lot of continuity or even as relevant as the ones of the old serie. - I still can´t undestand how the CW last 3 years seeing how different both armies are . The clones have special tactical training and are intelligent soldiers while the BDs are just trash put together for shooting everything they see and what is even worse is that they don´t even hit the target . - The older serie created the three most memorable villians of the PT (At least in my opinion) and in a way I still can´t understand, managed to explain some complicate backstory of each and the new one with just two of them, don´t achieve the same task with a lot more time . - It seems that in the new series they have such a big character library that they can even kill each new one in the same episode they introduce it . - The other one really showed the feel of the word "WAR" while the new one show the feel of the word "MONEY". - The battles of the old one were really well done and show some great tactical plans while the new ones are just a bunch of destroyed ships and thousands of laser cannons. I think these are all of them but I need to clarify that I don´t hate the new CW, in fact, I really like them but they just can´t beat what the older one manage to do in less than 2 hours as the entire series .
  10. Great topic The Brickster . I really don´t have a unique idea for a perfect MOC but I really like things extracted from the Space (Here I am not referring to the theme) or SW so it could be one in either "theme". Also I need to agree with the opinion of svelte corps . In my opinion the best MOCs out there, are the ones with the most impressive and creative techniques over all those giant buildings or the statues that the TLC make. Also the little details in a MOC are what make it an outstanding one or a really "common" in my opinion (I also think the SirNadroj MOCs are so great because of their details ). I especially like when someone make a unique use of a piece that you think is not possible or you ever even think about it. Currently I am working in my "biggest to date" project too but in a way earlier stage. I just get the idea some days ago, so at the moment, I am making some drawings of it and looking around the web for some inspiration or techniques that could help. I just can add that it is going to be "Space" themed an that I want to finish it in some more months.
  11. Yesterday I saw Watchmen with a friend and I need to admit I simply love it !!!!! The movie is really great done . The acting and the story were superb, especially Roshach (I don´t know if I spell his name correct ) who was an awesome character in my opinion. The action scenes were very mature and the music was just great with the correct choices in every scene. Many people could consider this a bit complex due to all the "flashback" like storytelling but if anyone go into the movie will really enjoy it. Also many fans consider that the ending and the whole movie don´t make a lot of justice to the graphic novel but I recommend anyone that want to see it to have an open mind, we all know that most of the movies aren´t as great as the book/comic/novel but you must see the LIKE A MOVIE not the novel. Overall and awesome film that for sure deserves the Blu-ray purchase from me and in my opinion the most mature and best superhero film ever made (Sorry for everyone that like TDK ).
  12. In my opinion the Tri-droid is one of those vehicles that deserve to be recreated in lego form and I think the TLC will give us this one pretty soon (After all it IS an important vehicle in the CW). Some cheap Republic sets could be great but I prefer by far a Tri-droid than any other Republic small vehicle. It is the same in the CW cartoon if you look carfully you will note that the Republic have a FEW big ships while the CIS have TONS of small ships. This set could be especially great and outstanding in the SW line . I hope this is real because if it is then this will be at the top of my buy-list .
  13. WOW!!!! From the Frontpage pic I think it was one of those 501th troops but this is even better , I just love it . Awesome job by all who make this possible, now 50 lucky members could have their own Eurotrooper in their collection .
  14. Well maybe my concept comparision with the NASCAR isn´t the most appropiate for the podracing , I think it is more like a bunch of competitors racing to death in ultra-difficult to control vehicles and at hostile tracks . Well here is my opinion on the topic now that I have more time : Personally I love the podracing concept . It is an awesome idea to integrate "races" in the SW universe and what better way than a bunch of modify vehicles in hostile locations . In my opinion a CW episode showing some podracing would be great like Oky Wan Kenobi mentioned also I agree with you in all your points . The SW podracing games are the best ones SW themed and I need to said I also like Mars Guo but no one is faster than Neva Kee , althought I don´t like the look of him or his pod . My personal favorite design-wise is the Ark Boompy Rose podracer.
  15. I didn´t found any other forum to post this (I don´t think this belongs to LEGO SW or to any other ) so my question is simple. Do you like Podracing? (As a note to anyone who doesn´t know what is podracing it is the equivalent of the NASCAR in the SW universe and is featured in TPM ). I will post my opinion later cause I am a bit short of time by now .
  16. Well in my country the episodes "Blue Shadow Virus" and "Mystery of a Thousand Moons" were aired in the common way unlike the US so I just finished of seeing the second one today . These episodes are perfectly what I define as an OK episode, not bad but not great . To start I will comment in the first episode. I need to said I finished very dissapointed by this episode ("Blue Shadow Virus") . When I heard about this episode some months or even weeks ago I was very excited cause at least the title sound promising but when I saw it I ended sad . First the episode starts welllike any episode but the wrong things started from the "Droid Inspection scene". I know Dave and Henry like Jar Jar like a character and that they feel like he doesn´t received what he desrved in the PT but they just continue not giving him a serious moment . I still can´t understand why Padme go everywhere with him as a partner if he just ruin everything he touches. After recovering myself from this scene I was expecting some good dialogues and investigation scenes they introduce to the SW universe his most annoying character and she was that pink Gungan . I am not exaggerating, she IS the most annoying character I have seen. I simply can´t think they can insult more to the Gungan specie but they COULD. Now the Gungan specie is oficially the most annoying specie in the galaxy in my opinion. Then that annoying Scientist character . Well I still can´t understand why the Separatists characters in the CW must have such a low intelligence . I am a CIS lover myself and personally I want that this generals get more serious roles. The other part of the episode was really uninspiring so I can´t comment a lot here just agree with Oky Wan Kenobi on why the Jedi don´t catched the virus samples using the force? Strange issue that just makes this episode worse than I think it would be . The second episode was A LOT better in my opinion but mainly due to the awesome "Easter Eggs" Dave and all the CW team decide to include. The start was entertaining but not something I could be really excited with, just correct . Then the bizarre bits started to begin . The planet at first look was well designed and I like the "ship graveyard" detail. Then that child character was introduced. In my opinion not so great but still not as annoying as the pink Gungan from the previous episode. That character somehow remains me the young Anakin we saw in TPM but in another palnet with similar situations (After all he is somehow a slave because of that CIS laser defense system). The way Obi Wan and Anakin got the plants for the cure is somewhat disspointing cause the CW team didn´t make so much of an effort to do some good action sequence with does Eating Plants. . Then came the best "Easter Egg" of the episode... the "Angels" specie. I still remember the scene in the TPM when Anakin told Padme she was as beautiful as that "Angels" that some pilots see when they arrive to the planet of this episode. A really creative way to explain us how they look in "real" life . The CIS defense system scenes where cool and the way they destoyed the main generator was well think . Overall a better episode than its predeccesor . Overall good episodes (One better than the other) and with a really anticipated one the next week .
  17. I started collecting in 2003 so my collection miss almost all of the first waves from 1999-2002. That maybe seems like not but are way too many sets. I own some sets of these waves but not a lot . Currently my collection costs around $3500-$5000 mainly due to the very hard to find sets and some rare collector items .
  18. Keeping a set in MISB condition is really an impossible issue for me cause I am from the ideal that LEGO is meant to be played with . I don´t think keeping a set in MISB condition could bring some one that much of a profit. Buying a used set could be the solution but I agree with CP5670 that used sets parts are commonly in worse conditions than the new ones something that is sometimes annoying. I open and build all my sets and I think they still worth some big cash because I take many precautions to keep them like new (I keep them at a good temperature, don´t play with them (At least not much ), I constantly clean the dust, I don´t grab them if I have my hands dirty or greasy). Also if you are a collector and you like to display your collection I think is good open it cause you have a really great display item there. In my opinion... open it!!!!
  19. Thanks for the detailed list Sandy . Now that you enlist all those minifigs I can see that the SW theme really lacks of female characters . I think many great female minifigs can be done for this line. Some of theme are a... - New Padme (Any style) - Shimi Skywalker - Shaak Ti - Aayla Secura - Marris Brood - Oola - Singer of the Jabba´s Palace - Other Jabba´s dancers
  20. Well in my opinion there WILL be another UCS for this year . Just think about it. This is the 10th anniversary of the LSW line and we don´t get any iconical giant set? Anyone remember that the last year the TLC asked us about what set we want as the 10 anniversary set and that it will come out around October of this year? Well I think that is in development and in my opinion it isn´t the actual 10195 set.
  21. In my opinion some NJO-era sets could be really great like for example a detailed Coralskipper but I really doubt the TLC could come with something like this. What really pissed me off is the fact that they don´t approach the actual EU related lines . The Force Unleashed had a lot of potential like a Felucian Rancor, a Junk Golem, a Kashykk set, a Kneto duel set and so on but they just release the Rogue Shadow (Which is really great, one of the best 2008 sets ).
  22. I said "No". Yes in fact this is an amazing set and I really love it but I don´t think it beats all the others CW sets. In my opinion is the second greatest . The only set that seems to beat it is the amazing Republic Fighter Tank . That set had good price, good minifigs and an extremely accurate design also I think is the best sized vehicle in the line (Not too big but not too small).
  23. BEST: Star Wars: Apart from the fact that I love the SW franchise I think this theme really took the TLC to a new level . I know many people think that cause this is a line based in "pre-existants" models it certainly lacks the creativity that represents the TLC but I have to disagree. I think it is actually harder to capture the sleekness and functions that the actual SW vehicles have than do a proper one choosing what you like . Also this line opened a lot of MOC possibilities becuase of all their special parts and minifigs. Also all the support the AFOLs give to the line speaks by itself how we all love this line. The line also introduce the very first lego models with tons of features but still not losing the shape and quality that characteristic the models of the TLC. And to conclude I admit that this is one of the few lines that always go foward and never backwards . So in my opinion one if not the best TLC line ever. City: This is another line that deserves the title to one of the best. The whole line has really grown in the last three years and every year we see new and a lot more exciting models than before. Also it shows the fastest evolution design-wise. Just look at the construction line of 2005, it was good but nothing to get really happy and now just 4 years later we have an excellent new construction theme . Also it has the best constructions I have seen from the TLC in scenario terms. I think just looking at Green Grocer and Cafe Corner explains this point . Castle: I don´t think I need to really explain why it is so great . WORST: Galidor: Simply the worst idea the TLC ever had . Horrible models, useless parts and a also they look like a toy you can get from a Happy Meal . Avatar: Well it seems like this line didn´t had a lot of success and actually it was really crappy. The two sets it has were some of the worst designed I have seen so far. Also it doesn´t have something you really can point out apart from some nice pieces. Clickits: Why the TLC decide to do such a spin-off is something I still don´t know . The pieces are totally useless and actually I don´t think they deserve the title as lego "sets".
  24. After a closer look and viewing more and more into the pics of the new 10195 I am starting to think that the TLC somehow leave "incomplete" the AT-OT . If you look at the Dropship model it looks very detailed and stable but I can´t say the same of the AT-OT. First I don´t like that they leave big holes at the sides of the cockpit, then there are some big holes along the sides and some poorly detailed legs . I think for a $250 set they could have put some more effort in this model.
  25. This news are really great!!!! Toy Story and Cars are great but I just can´t believe the last theme... LEGO PRINCE OF PERSIA !!!! I was hoping for a theme of this videogame since the first time I played it but I think it was a very distant possibility almost impossible and now this!!!! I am really excited by this news, I just hope that they release sets of both POP videogame and movie so they could have more possibilities. After this announcement a Zelda theme isn´t impossible after all . Anyone can imagine a small Star Tours exclusive set?
