  1. "Praise be! I never thought this day would come: the death of both the dragon conqueror and your endless babbling."
  2. Jinnipher rolls her eyes and crosses her arms. "Pah! You're more delusional than I thought. This snake can't tell the future - he sent his son to destroy Moone, and he failed. Anything else he says is nonsense. I don't need to thank anyone but myself for slaying Vorpalis and ridding this country of its fog plague. Especially when most of you were too busy screwing it up or backing out!"
  3. Jinnipher shook her head and looked the serpent straight in the eyes. "I've seen things on quest that I never thought I would see, a fortune-telling dragon and a walkway across the sky among them. Say what you want about what could've happened here, but we put a stop to what would've been much worse. It's done now, and the fate of Moone is in the people's hands. We-- They. They will have to rebuild. And I will have something to say about the lack of a fighting force to keep the likes of Vorpalis and perhaps you, dragon, out of Moone. I don't know what you think you're capable of, but you sending Vorpalis here was no act of divinity. You sent him here to conquer, and we slaughtered him. If you interfere with Moone again, expect resistance."
  4. Jinnipher flicked off Lind's hand and ignored his words.
  5. Jinnipher withdrew her blade, head still hung over the fallen dragon and her hair damp with sweat. The enemy was defeated, yet there was no sense of closure. The Moon Elves were reduced in number even further, and now perhaps their unity would crumble without Faust. Moone itself would need to be rebuilt from the ashes, as well. She contemplated these thoughts before the party's divine guests descended. "No thanks to you and your puppet strings on Olegaia." She sized up the serpent-like dragon, not quite ready to fight another but on her guard nonetheless.
  6. Hybros scratched his head. "Golden Crusade, hm?" He thought he recognized the name, but shrugged and gave up. There were so many organizations - the Crimson Crown, Order Imperial, Red and Blue Assassins, Wolfgang... all with their own motives. It was hard to remember who wanted what. "I cannot say I recognize it. How exactly will you help U'Daras? Simply to protect her life from her own people, or something more? Heheh... What is it that you prophesy will happen in this kingdom?"
  7. After just a moments hesitation - perhaps to relish the moment of vengeance, perhaps to regret the damage already done - Jinnipher thrusts the end of her sword straight between Vorpalis' eyes.
  8. Jinnipher walked straight up to Vorpalis' face and planted her foot on his nose. She leaned in close to his remaining eye. "Yes." She raised her blade and prepared to drive it straight into his skull...
  9. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, heheh... Yes, we are accompanying The Great Guffington from Eubric in search of an artifact here. I do not know much about it, but we have already had to protect him and the princess from the dangers just outside these castle walls. Are you a warrior yourself?"
  10. Jinnipher swings again.
  11. Hybros tipped his hat at who he assumed must be one of the three emperors of Dastan, judging from his crown. He thought to ask the man's opinion on the current state of affairs in Dastan, but thought better of it considering it was a social gathering. He contented himself to smile and nod to the emperor, and sidle over to Lady Felix and the woman in white. "Hello." He tilted his hat to the woman, too. "I am Hybros." He fidgeted with his gold pouch, not sure what else to say and embarrassed that he didn't know any names of the royal guests. As well, he was a little uncomfortable with being at a grand feast when there were citizens discontent enough to attack the princess just outside the palace.
  12. OOC: you forgot to account for the poison damage. Jinnipher looked concernedly at Gabriel. She gave him a nod. "Thought we lost you there for a minute." Jinnipher repeats.
  13. "Gabriel..." she gasped. "You'll regret that, Vorpalis." She lunged at the claws again, from the back row.
  14. Jinnipher braces herself, then flies at the claws from the back row.
  15. OOC: Thanks, I actually forgot about that. It's been a while since I got to use that thing. Also, Hybros gains triple XP so he should be at level 37.75. Hybros lingers in the doorway, curious to see what will happen next. He surveys the crowd as well as the skies and neighboring buildings for any sign of suspicious activity. 16. Jinnipher trembled, but didn't let it show. She held her sword and prepared to charge. She had nothing more to say to the dragon.
  17. You mean to say that a cleric would just heal the Black Knight when his health got too low? But wouldn't you just want the BK to stay at low health?
  18. Jinnipher slaps 35 gold into Skrall's gigantic hand for the venom. "I don't owe you anything." She applies all seven vials to the Brine Blade.
  19. Thanks for the in-depth review, Fangy. More than anything, I think this series offers a pretty unique parts selection. I'd like to see the plant monster headpiece paired with some of the more zany face prints out there. The Eye of Sauron comes to mind. The ghost "legs" piece is also very cool. I'm a little disappointed by the fact that the glasses are attached to the head for the mad scientist; otherwise it might've made for a good Ki-Adi Mundi yellow fig. Maybe the zombie theme in this series is a little repetitive, but since Series 1 I think they've added a lot to the zombie minifig selection, which was sparse and in high demand before that for post-apoc MOCs. It's neat to see them together.
  20. I can think of a few accessory artifacts that'd be handy to wear at the same time. Why in the world did Lind not stay as a Black Knight? That Invader Armor is perfect for it.
  21. Jinnipher nodded. "Then here's your chance for revenge. Make it count." "If anyone has any venom that I could add to this sword, I might be able to poison the worm to death. Otherwise... I'm ready to end this." She looked determinedly at the stairwell, trying to ignore the eeriness of the empty throne room. She found herself standing next to Gabriel again and inched slightly closer.
  22. OOC: The Heavy Flail was my primary weapon so it should've dealt damage first, thus the enemy would've been fragile and the second attack (SOAH) would've dealt double damage. My understanding of Marauder (from watching/playing as two of them in 129) is that Dual Hit and Critical Dual Hit rolls are like normal rolls but applied twice (and to different enemies if the player chooses). They happen in order of the primary/secondary notations. SHIELD is different, and I think you pretty much combine the weapons and all of their effects and elemental properties into one strike that hits one enemy twice or two enemies once. TL;DR to answer your question, yes on a SHIELD, no on Hits and Crits. Hybros swings the Sword of Ancestral Hatred (primary) and Zoot's Reaper (secondary) at Civilian Mobs A and B, respectively, from the front row twice. Lady Felix recovers thanks to Arthur's Phoenix Essence. Battle Order: Hybros Hybros Arthur Hoke Soldiers Purpearl U'Daras Vipera Torc Miirym U'Voros Felix Mallelio
  23. Jinnipher nodded in approval at Karie's healing. "Not bad. Think you could help me out with the same thing? The dragon knocked me off my feet just by roaring..." Still, as they walked a cloud hung over the Moon Elf's head about Faust. She read the gravestone marker with disdain. "Well isn't that cute. A whole family of murderous lizards. I hope Vorpalis is ready to join his brother in the dirt." "Warlen, didn't you say something about Lethauros back there in Mermont? Did you fight him?"
  24. "We know. You lied to your kingdom. We can talk about that later. Right now you need to focus your thoughts and calm down. We'll handle this."
  25. Jinnipher looked at the carnage around them as Vorpalis flew off. She shouted after him: "VORPALIS!! These bodies are your fault! You coward!!" She stamped her foot, frustrated. She panted and stood in place a while longer. Gabriel came over to exchange a few words with her, but she appeared to look irritated and limped over to Faust. "Lind, spray him. Karie, what can you do for him? King Faust! Wake up. You'll be okay. We're going to kill that dragon once and for all. I promise this much." She mumered a prayer in elvish and touched Faust's forehead.
