  1. "Well you seem human enough to me." Hybros poked Arthur in the chest to see what it would feel like. "What is the difference if what you are made of if you are the same person?"
  2. Hybros shrugs. "I do not see how you are a different person despite that. My own fragment of Zoot is a separate being, but I feel like it is a... friend, or partner, that has been with me since I got it." He shook his head suddenly. "Ehehm, if that makes any sense. I am not too sure what I meant by that myself..."
  3. I think just about everything with 138 has been fantastic so far. How do you think some of us who've been here for even longer than you feel? I'm going on 8 years on this site, and some are up to 11. But yeah I also find it hard to believe that it's been four years since the start of Heroica. Wow. Could we ask our kind and merciful dragon moderator to frontpage the celebration? We could always use more members.
  4. Hybros eyes Lady Felix nervously as she gave her answer, but said nothing other than, "Yes, the one about blood relatives is a lie. Not only have my people returned to Olegaia, but there is someone just like me somewhere out there.... eheh. I have fought a dragon before. I hope I will not need that experience for our trip to Dastan." He handed over 10 gold to each Lady Felix and Arthur, and accepted 10 gold from Guffington. "So, Guffington, do you think you can fool me? Heheh I do know a bit about your past."
  5. OOC: Jinnipher also gave all of Lind's gear back. "Let's dance, sister." Jinnipher charges at Melody from the front row with the Brine Blade.
  6. "Hm, and what say you, Lady Felix, Guffington?" "Two gods, hm? Well you have told me about this chaos that makes up your body, so I suppose something just as crazy could happen, heheh. I think the second one is a lie." Hybros nudged the Dragoon. "Ehem... you might want to shape up in front of our employer. I do not think the Great Guffington expects anything less than professionals for this job."
  7. Jinnipher rolled her eyes. "As if this was a difficult decision... Let's do this." She raised her sword, ready for battle.
  8. "Heh, I did not know that you were once a thief, Lady Felix. I do not blame you for it, but I did not know, heheh." Hybros looked at Guffington. He was indeed a generous and forgiving man. "Very well, I will go next. I have stolen from Lady Felix, I have fought a dragon, and there is no one of direct blood relation to me on Olegaia."
  9. "Better than you. I used to live here at least, and this must your first time setting foot on what's left of our continent. And, crime? Look around you, you big dumb rock! This is a place of death and destruction. Are you already forgetting those terrified people in Yukomo? The people he's killed and the other lives he's destroyed?! Get a hold of yourself! Even if the story about Faust's lies is true, those crimes don't even compare to the ones of Vorpalis!" She looked around to the other party members helplessly.
  10. "So killing people who support their king is due revenge?! Am I the only one around here with a functioning moral compass?" She looked on angrily. "If we go with these imbeciles then we fail our quest. Have you all forgotten why you're here? It's to kill this dragon that is clearly evil. Now all of you can surrender and be sent on the next boat back to Eubric - if you believe the lizard will be so merciful - but I'm staying." Jinnipher was incredulous. "What?! Lind, spray this one, too. The fog and the pressure has gotten to our big, bad ogre."
  11. Everything in moderation, including moderation

  12. Jinnipher shrugs. "You're not wrong, but if these fools are really going to insist on getting in our way and stop us from killing the 'truly evil being' we were sent here to kill, then they're just as bad. I tried being diplomatic, but thick skulls prevailed. Or the fog. Fog..." She whipped around to Lind. "Activate that machine, now. If these two are brainwashed, maybe we can undo some of the damage."
  13. Well put. I think it's a fair criticism to say that you don't have to reply to everything with OOC references and jokes, Lind. Or bold every other sentence. Just a tip if you want people to read your posts closely - everything in moderation.
  14. "A duel? Seriously, Warlen? This is not the time for games. If we clash swords it's not going to be for glory."
  15. "Your point? You work for a lizard who kills people for sport. Are you ready to die for that cause?"
  16. "I'm right with you on that, Sandman." Jinnipher switched back to basic, and replied angrily. "And killing people is?! Moone wasn't perfect but it worked. If people were unhappy there was probably a better way than killing those they disagreed with. Moon Elves are supposed to be pacifistic but it seems like your parents dropped you on your head one too many times. I'm not going anywhere with you. The only reason you're still standing there without my sword in your chest is because we're so limited as it is. But I don't have a problem decapitating traitors." She drew her sword, ready for a fight. She held back, waiting for Skrall's signal.
  17. "<And the bloodlust of a beast. If murder was a last option then he wouldn't have come here to kill everyone he happened to disagree with. He brought the violence here in the first place, saying that he will end it are the words of an evil dictator. There's no way in Hel that I would want him ruling anything. Faust may be a coward, but at least he ruled with benevolence.>"
  18. Jinnipher looked away. "Faust is a coward, no doubt about that. Why else would he flee Moone just to hire us? But Moone wasn't a bad place to grow up in, just... wasn't the place for me to swing a sword. He ran this kingdom well enough. As for his past deeds, I can't say I know the truth behind those. But there's no excuse for Vorpalis to kill all those people. None." Her sorrow quickly turned to anger, and her voice hardened. "He will pay for his crimes. Faust can be dealt with later. We're not going anywhere with you. Did he brainwash you into thinking mass murder was okay?" She addressed Melody again in elvish, diplomatically. "<Please, don't make this something it doesn't have to be. I do not wish to fight my own kin. You can help us find this dragon, and once we kill him we can talk about restoring this kingdom. If you won't help us, then stand aside.>"
  19. "Hm, yes, how could I forget when you fought ag- ehem, alongside me in the Manor, Lady Felix. If you meant that you are no longer a warrior, then your second statement is a lie." Hybros gave a sly grin.
  20. Jinnipher raised an eyebrow. "So the big bad dragon sent you to do his dirty work?" She scoffed. "Coward. Well, let's hear it then. There's got to be a reason why he's killed so many people. And you--" she looked pointedly at Melody. "--should be ashamed to call yourself a Moon Elf if you're a part of this massacre."
  21. Jinnipher cast a sideways glance at Skrall, then addressed the Moon Elf, speaking in their own tongue with a sense of diplomacy. "<Finally, a familiar face. I am Jinnipher Buchaire of Mermont. King Faust hired us to kill this dragon. Who are you?>"
  22. Hybros thought for a minute. "The third one is a lie." He figured ten gold wasn't worth the risk of accusing her of stealing from her employer.
  23. Jinnipher stands silent at the back of the group with her arms crossed. There was nothing she could do for these people except slay the dragon as soon as possible.
  24. "Yes, I am ready. Perhaps you should go first, Lady Felix."
  25. I am very much looking forward to some tough battles. Our party will be hard to beat.
