  1. Oh, I see, I thought you meant mines, as in underground explosives. I knew what you meant by those sounds that the droids make. By the way, Adam is saying that he wants someone (in his group) to explain things to him. The Easter Island thing was a joke.
  2. Thanks for that input, WhiteFang. If anyone is confused about what is okay and what is not here, just check the Board Guidelines at the top of every page on EB, or the rules in the first post in this topic. Pr0, I'm afraid I have to agree with Da Death Star, perhaps you ought to change your post a bit so that the clones used only rockets and other quick explosives, and that not all of the droids were destroyed. that would be way to easy! Also, why all the reinforcements? This is supposed to be a mysterious mission, and not many know about it besides the players and troops involved. Okay, so there's a bunch of ships fighting in Felucian space, let's try to keep it that way, please. I will have digitally enhanced pics up soon, for my previous post later tonight. EDIT: Okay, the photo editing is not doing anything for me, so I'll just keep it basic. Check my previous post for the pics.
  3. Great job on improving this, pe668, now I think that you have a real chance in placing!
  4. Great entry, pe668, very unique! What I like: Using both mini and regular scale building techniques was a very creative idea, and I think it came out excellently. The mini ship and houses are fantastic, and the goriness in the regular-sized section is great! What could be improved: Perhaps you should consider adding some good ol' pirate cruelty in there, besides killing soldiers., which could be done in any way you want. The trees are good, but I would like to see more in the mini part. Looks good, though, and I wish you good luck for this creative entry!
  5. Haha, great entry, oDDerFisken! What I like: This is very cruel, and a unique way of doing it at that. The great amount of shiny objects doesn't hurt either. What could be improved: Perhaps the walls could be a bit more detailed? I'm sure that it would make this entry even better. Not much to say, but good luck!
  6. I agree with Guss, this makes finding all of the entries way easier!
  7. Ah, very nice, very peaceful. Reminds me a bit of the first part of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, when your just in the village (if you've ever played that game). I love all the little details in this, especially the well. Good luck on the contest! Ah.... so peaceful....
  8. Oh, I see, thanks. Back on topic, some other sets I would like to see redone are the Solar Sailor (although that's already on the rumor list for CW), and perhaps an Episode I Jedi duel. Of course, they're many other sets which have yet to be made, such as the Geonosis stadium and Jedi Temple attack.
  9. Ah, thanks KimT, I guess I should have checked the first post... I'll be rebuilding that sweet set soon.
  10. Thanks, ADHO15! The Grievous fighter looks pretty sweet, and the V-19 looks the same. I just may pick these up, although I'm afraid I could get hooked on these MINIs...
  11. I am looking forward to seeing your final result, Eilif! I have also started sorting (I'm about half-way through now), and I used some of the techniques that you used in your sorting , which were very helpful. I poured a little bit of Lego at a time out of my big bucket that they were all just thrown in, and I really feel like I'm making good progress. The only thing is that I'm using plastic bags instead of boxes, but I don't have that much Lego anyways.
  12. Thanks, Oky Wan. JD, not only is discussing random things like that inappropriate here, it could get you in trouble with the real staff. I know I'm not an admin, but please refrain from posting such things, at least in the comic game. Oky Wan, it's cool that you're using other peoples creations (and giving credit to them), but you might get in trouble with those sites (particularly Flickr) for using other people's pics. Just a bit of advice from me. "Okay, there is no way I'm getting that hunk of junk!" complained Butcher. He didn't like slow moving vehicles. "Well, you really don't have a choice," replied Oky Wan, with a grin tugging at his lips. "You can either come with us, or sit here and die". Butcher sighed. Whatever it was, the Republic we weren't paying him enough. "Fine" he sighed. The group then began to sprint, catching up with the Trade Federation vehicle. Thok took out his blasters, and started shooting at the back doors. Oky Wan climbed onto the side, starting to dismantle a plate of steel so he could get in, and Butcher jumped on top of the back section, and took out his lightsaber for the first time in a long while. The best was that the droids didn't even notice, besides the ones in the MTT. Oky Wan successfully removed the plate, and hopped inside. The back door also fell open due to Thok's firepower. They scrambled in, and started to blast every droid in sight, which was only a few droids. The rest were in the cockpit or in the storage area, shut down until they would be deployed for battle. When the droids were finished, Thok and Oky Wan headed to the cockpit, ready to annihilate the pilots. But when the climbed the small service latter and opened the hatch, Jim looked down on them with a grin on his face. "Too late" he said, and helped his comrades up. "Okay, you guys handle the tank, while I defend on the roof" Butcher said. "What do you mean," said Oky Wan. "It's safer in here". "Nah, I got a few surprises, remember?" Soon, Oky Wan was familiarized with the contols and Thok with the guns. "Fire!!" they all yelled. Thok opened fire on everything in front of the tank, right after Butcher threw the grenades. There was quite an explosion, and several vehicles and many battle droids were flung into the air. Butcher ignited his lightsaber as the droids began to take notice. Most of them turned around, but the front lines were preoccupied by the group of clones raising all hell. Jim deflected the droids' shots back at them at the MTT moved slowly forward, running over anything that it didn't shoot. Several droids with jetpacks alighted onto the top, ready to shoot Butcher. He took out his naiul gun, and shot through four of the droids with a single shot. As they tumbled to the ground, stuck together with the huge nail, Butcher cut down the remaining two droids with his lightsaber. This is where the fun begins... he thought. I'll try to add pics to this post soon.
  13. Hmm, the V-19 Torrent's price seems to be rising. At K-Mart, its $63, and at Wal-Mart its $55. Has the TRU price gone up, too? I used to think that it was originally $40, can anyone confirm this?
  14. Ah, thanks for pointing that out, Brickset didn't show that since it wasn't its own set. I still think that it could be improved more, though. Great ideas, Oky Wan! I would love to have Anakin's podracer like that, and the Gungan Hayblibber would be fantastic. By the way, what exactly are "greeblings"?
  15. Thanks for those pics, Klaus D. I knew it would be a MOC, though, it doesn't look official at all (although it is a great MOC). No, I'm actually hoping for something bigger from TLG, and not as much tiling to up the price. I'd be content if it were an improved version of the ISD, perhaps a bit larger in size.
  16. Nobody is general in this game, but the clones and soldiers do listen to our characters without question. Also, pr0, could you please try to avoid putting your name in every sentence, and instead, use dialogue for the characters involved. Thanks, your posts will be much easier to read once you do this.
  17. Thanks for the news, Skipper! Apparently the "neon green" monster is actually yellow. However, the names on these are really kind of dumb. Okay, Firox and Glaiciator are okay, but what's the point of having another "Firox" called Meltrox? And "Sulfurix" and Boulderax"... c'mon, Lego...
  18. Does anyone know where to find the Hailfire and Spider Droid (7670) instructions? I looked on PISCL and BrickFactory, but they didn't have them.
  19. Judging by the box art of Vader's TIE and this list of the first Star Wars sets, I'd say that it's possible that we could get sets redone from only 1999. Now, as much as that would be disappointing, some sets that I think TLG would redo if this theory is true are... Landspeeder A really classic vehicle, and a very symbolic one from the original trilogy. The is the only version made (besides the MINI one) was in 1999. It was a very basic set, and would be great to see again with more modern building techniques. It could be a smaller set, and include Ben Kenobi and Luke Skywalker figs. Snowspeeder While I wouldn't want this set on it's own, it would fit in great with the rumored Hoth play set in 2009. It could be similar to 2007's speeder, but maybe a little different. Gungan Sub One of the vehicles that stood out to me from The Phantom Menace along with the MTT and Naboo Cruiser, I think this would look great with new building techniques. It could include Jar Jar (I don't care if you hate him), Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan. Mos Espa Podrace Instead of doing just Anakin's podracer, TLG could redo the full Podrace set. Along with the original three racers included in the first version, Ben Quadranaro's could also be included. This would be a large set, with Anakin, Watto, Qui-Gon (Tatooine clothes), Padme (Tatooine clothes), Shmi, Sebulba, Quadronaro, and the other racer. So, although I'd rather have at least one set from each episode for LSW's 10th Anniversary, it's possible that TLG will only redo sets from they're first year, and those are the sets that I think TLG would most likely redo.
  20. As much as I liked the Turbo Tank, I don't think TLG needs to make another (or anything like it) so soon, if at all. Perhaps this will be revealed as more of the Clone Wars series unfolds. Oh, I remember those guys, from a few comics a long time ago. They were wiped out by Darth Maul before The Phantom Menace, so they weren't in the movie, so it's doubtful that "pirate tank" will be an anniversary set if you were right about this. Plus, I doubt TLG will make a set from before Episode I, a part of the EU that isn't as widely know as say the Clone Wars or the events of TFU. Sorry, but I think that this theory isn't likely to be the Pirate tank. Good reference, though.
  21. How subtle... although I don't know any 8-foot tall people, do you? I doubt that there would be anything in it. If there was, then there goes the "floated in the sea and landed ashore" story. I definitely think somebody planted it there.
  22. Very nice entry, ISC, reminds me of Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest. What I like: The feel of peril is nicely demonstrated with those beautifully done cliffs, Master of SNOT! Good idea in adding extra foliage on the cliff faces to make them look mossy. I also like the cave, bridge, and dock. Of course, the concept itself is pretty cruel, yet comical. The addition of some vegetables in the pot with the cannibal is really funny, like an old-school cartoon. What could be improved: There's a couple of things that I would improve for this MOC, however. First, the pirate with the treasure on top of the cliff holding the barrel looks a little weird. It looks like he's drinking a barrel of rum, falling asleep as he does so, but I imagine he's heaving the treasure. To make this look less confusing, I would suggest you make him stand up rather than lay down. Also, I would have the fallen Imperial soldier positioned in a way so that it looks like he actually fell, and not just sat down in the water. Perhaps have him sprawled out, with his face in the water. Overall, though, this was a very creative piece, ISC, so I wish you good luck!
  23. I voted 5% or less, because I just don't like Technic in my System sets. Some necessary pieces don't bother me much, such as a few pins. I voted 'not really' for the second question, as not many Technic pieces are found in the System sets, but there's always that occasional one with a lot. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the amount of Technic in the System sets.

    Governor's End

I agree with Mr Tiber, very cruel! What I like: Very cruel, if the MOC isn't cruel, than the story definitely is. Your writing really got me into the MOC, and the MOC itself is good. The little details, such as the quill and ink bottle and wooden planks (the way you arranged the plates makes the floor look realistic), make this entry a really cool one. The head choice for both figs was great too- the pirate's is cruel, while the governor's is sad and sober. The way you've arranged the brown tiles on both the desk and floor (not technically 'SNOT') is done beautifully. The desk itself is magnificent. What could be improved: The only part that I don't like is a minor nitpick, but the governor's torso choice wasn't the best, in my opinion. I would choose something a little more suitable, perhaps check in the Great Pirate Torso Decal Library? Overall, though, I really like this entry, and I think you have a good chance in placing. Nonetheless, I wish you good luck!
  25. Nice work, TalonKarrde. What I like: The rock formation at the foot of the wall is very good, I can really see how the waves formed them. Your minifig head choices are great, and good use of what you had. The action is really well displayed as well. What could be improved: Not much, really, but I would definitely throw in some cruelty for the pirates. Perhaps one slitting a guard's throat? A great MOC, TalonKarrde, and I wish you luck on the contest!
