  1. There is a lot wrong with the inventory of 42009 and 42008 on rebrickable. The dark and light greys are mixed up all the time and trans orange is mistaken for yellow i put the inventories on Bricklink.
  2. I think Lego should limit to one each. This way resellers won't get a chance. I even see webshops offering the set for presale...
  3. Why did they swap the light bley Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular back to the Pin Connector Perpendicular 2 x 2 Bent? The first images of 9398 showed the latter part, but the final model had it changed. Now it seems to be back...
  4. With war I meant partswise: white 1 x 4 tile with black printing 00001, white 1 x 4 tile with black printing 00002, white 1 x 4 tile with black printing 19999, white 1 x 4 tile with black printing 20000
  5. So are the parts printed or stickered? Or is just the tile with the number printed? That's gonna be fun for Bricklink!
  6. This year only we get two big sets with PF, three if you'd include the Boss Crawler. My house is littered with M-motors and battery boxes. PF is a wonderful addition to Technic, but don't you think Lego is overdoing it? The list since the introduction of PF: 2013: 3 out if 12 sets 2012: 2 out of 9 sets 2011: 3 out of 10 sets 2010: 2 out of 10 sets 2009: 2 out of 10 sets 2008: 2 out of 7 sets (not including the Motor Set) 2007: 1 out 6 set So trend is that the amount of PF sets is not specifically increasing, but the focus on PF seems to increase anyway. The sets that don't have PF are slowed down gear-wise to seduce us to add PF, like 8295, 8265, 9396 and 42006.
  7. The settings were not automatically on exact parts match for me... It chose the 'close' option as a default...
  8. Yes but the gear won't be extremely expensive at TLG. And don't forget the black 16L axles and the new yellow panels.
  9. So it is always very temptimg to just buy the missing parts. It's cheaper but not in a relative way and I always regret it. And it saves space. But nothing beats a new Technic set....
  10. Wow I only miss 142 parts of 2,606...
  11. And, again the set is much cheaper in Germany than in the rest of Europe...
  12. True. But the unknowing layman customer buying the PC may think there are little led lights in the set... The glowing parts are big enough to host such lights...
  13. I always have to do the math with new Technic sets. With the crane I have about 2450 of the 2600 pieces. Should I buy a whole set for these 150 missing parts? But buying just some parts is always more expensive and besides: nothing beats a fresh new Technic set. I think 42009 has a record of 6 booklets!
  14. Cool! Thanks a lot. Somehow the amount of parts in 42009 seems little haha
  15. So, the boom doesn't extend simultaneously with the lowering of the hook, like 8421 did? Is this very troublesome? What is the difference between the old and the new curved panels besides the position of the holes? And could you please please post the partslists of 42008 and 42009?
  16. I wasn't trying to push him/her. I was just curious about more info!
  17. Yes, tell us what the market looks like :)
  18. I have e-mailed TLG many times about this and I always get the same excuse. In Germany there is more competition from Playmobil so they can't afford the high prices. Still, the 2% tax difference between Germany and Holland does not justify a 10-15% price difference. As long as we Lego devotees keep on buying a 2,000 piece set like Ewok Village for €250 (or in the Dutch case €260) Lego can ask any price they want... Still, it is SO unfair for two adjacent countries and a European market. There is no excuse for that... Petition time? Or just keep on e-mailing TLG and keep getting the same (sorry but lame) excuse...
  19. So a $200 set would be $200 on S@H and let's say $216.75 in NYC (isn't the tax rate 8.375% or something)? Insane! Wow here in Holland we pay 21% tax! Always!
  20. Do you also pay tax if you order at the American S@H? I know you pay tax when you are in, like, NYC and that tax is not included in the set prices listed. But what do you pay when you order online?
  21. I think the Minecraft pic above is a real (yet enhanced) photo. Look at the light gray 1x1 plate near the lower right corner of the top layer. It is placed slightly off...
  22. I am not implying they use PS, but the word photoshopping has become the equivalent for digitally altering pictures. And yes: I can also build without showing to much mould-points. Im fact thag is even what I do most of the time. Yet sometimes they still show and TLG digitally removes all of these. I don't have that much problems with that. I do object against making chrome parts too shiny and impossible gestures in figs...
