Hi everyone! Well, it's time to share a new MOC with you. The Monorail Emergency Train. The idea of such kind of equipment resulted from a derailing incidient on Brixe's monorail diorama during the last Fanwelt in Cologne, where the Farnheim Fire Department was called for technical assistance. So I started to create a special Monorail-based emergency and rescue vehicle. With that train the Farnheim Fire Department should now be well equipped for such future incidents. The train features an emergency module where evacuated injured passengers get first medical aid. The second supply module is equipped with lots of stuff for technical assistances and a huge watertank with a separated smaller foam tank. On the roof a big water cannon and a high reach extendable Turret (HRET) for structure fires nearby the railroad system are also installed. The electric drive has the advantage to evacuate passengers in heavily smoked tunnel systems. The train is sited in a special building near downtown Farnheim. Hope you like it. Thanks for watching. Critics and comments are very welcome as usual. Best regards, Farnheim

Thanks a bunch everyone for your feedback. @ LT: The balloons say from left to right starting with the yellow bar: "And then...", "Man, this is gonna be Full-HD. That's awesome!", "I just wanted a new station, but this fast..?", "Whoa, I'm freakin' out!", "What's that? A new fire station?" (italian slang), "There you go!" (saxony slang) - The story is about a mysterious artifact. After rubbing at it everything at the scene changed immediately to a brand new look. A miracle. Everything got bigger, better, newer. So, they decided to bury it under a shrub and don't tell anyone about it this strange thing... @ LEGO Guy Bri: Exact! I didn't remember the "Flame Fighters". But this was the other set of this mixture. Well, I didn't count my MOCs already. But I guess I have roundabout one hundred (and still counting). You can count them yourself here : The thing at rear of the engine is a hose reel. This is one of the next things on my modification agenda... And shown who it is installed on real trucks: @ jamesn: If TLG would make those stations I would be jobless.

As a request of lightningtiger I want to take the chance to show you a few pictures of my small fire station I built in 2011. It's a mixture of the 2009 official headquarter (#7945) with a few more realistic extras based on a classic baseplate. A little garage extension on the left side completes the look. As you can imagine, this station shall not be a headquarter, just a small institution placed in the suburbs. There are only an engine and a ladder for fire prevention. The engine is also equipped with apparatus for technical asstistance. The little car is for every day deliveries between the different fire stations. An old school oberhead projector I put some more more details on it like the exhaust gas hoses or a big foam nozzle There is room for two big trucks The small garage A neat little garden for recreation The fire apparatus And these are some of guys who are on duty. Well, the ballons are in german language only, 'cause they are part of a comic... Hope, you'll have fun watching these pictures. C&C very welcome! Best regards, Farnheim

Thank you all very much for kind comments. I'm flattered and I appreciate it very much. @ lightningtiger: I have (a little) one. I could post some pictures of it later. @ JopieK: It is also in Germany like "antp" said (especially during nighttimes) and of course to yield just means to pay attention of the traffic, 'cause there are sometimes roadusers who don't care about what happen around them.

Hi everyone! As a result of the rebuild of my emergency vehicles I also finished a little emergency station. This areal has got a large dual garage for two ambulances and another one for the emergency car driven by the doctor. The structure has some room for the personnel. You can find a small kitchen, a computer workstation, a rest room and of course a toilet. So the doctor and his paramedics can do some acitivities beside all the actions. A little kitten from a neighbor comes around from time to time... The Farnheim Fire Department had formed a new rescue concept for the 21st century back in 1998. It implied to build three different Emergency Stations strategically sited throughout the municipal area. The goal was and now is to reduce the way to the scene significantly - and save lives. This station was built in 2005 and can be found in northern area of the city. So, that's all with that little (fictional) history of that building. Hope you like it. Here are the pictures... Thanks for watching. C&C welcome as always... Best regards, Farnheim

Hi all, another bright red vehicle I've built a while back is this fire engine that is part of my plant fire department (an oil refinery). It should be the fictitious brother of a Unimog. The exact description here in germany is TroLF 1500. Tro means "trocken" (dry) and LF "Löschfahrzeug" (appliance). The number reflects the agent in kilogramms. So the truck carries (like a real model) 1,500 kg of class B- and C-powder (effective against petroleum fires) in two tanks. You can can also find the pressuretanks for the powder with its "control panel", two hoses, and some small extinguishers. The red thing on the front end shall show a small covered winch. As an extra detail I put a 2x2 satellite dish on the roof that demontrates a roof hatch (that some orginal Unimogs have/had). Here's a little history of the TroLF 1500: This truck was built in the mid 90s of the last century and is going to reach the end of his term at the oil refinery. But this good old low tech is almost indestructable. So his next operational area could be a reagional air field next to the city of Farnheim. Its little fire brigade is highly interested in buying the truck. So, this is it once again. Hope you like it (a bit) . Any kind of comments and critics are welcome as usual. Cheers, Farnheim

Hi ER0L, this car is a real beauty. I like the overall design very much - the length, the width. It all matches perfectly. With this uneven number of studs it's much "easier to get a nice shape in hoods, lids or roofs. No, 5wide is definitely NO deal for me... Great cruzer... Keep bricking!

I like the interior a lot. The shelfs and the counter look cool. Can't wait to see, how the building is going to look like. Keep up the great job, lightningtiger.

Hi all, another more or less unique apparatus is a so called Turbo Extinguisher. I got inspired by a huge fire in a city in my area last summer, when several fire departments from different cities were helping out to fight the flames. They were also supported by a plant fire brigade, that sent such a monster truck. The main extinguisher unit is a twin jet engine combined with big nozzles, that vaporises water into a massive spray reaching high and/or long distances. The effect is higly efficient. Well, here's my 4wide conversion of this monster. Don't be bothered by the paint scheme (with the slight part of white). I changed it a bit afterwards. So it fits better to the trucks of my plant fire brigade. The last two pics show the actual paint scheme. For a comparison and further details, you can have a closer look at the manufacturs website. As a sidenote: The FD of Hamburg once wanted to buy such a truck, cause of the high risk potential of the international sea port. But its costs couldn't ever be financed. Hope you like it. Thanks for watching. Farnheim

Cool looking set. The use of the light brick is nice. The helicopter reminds me of one from... ahem... playmobil I played with during my childhood days.- 24 replies

Looking really good. The main building in sand green turns out great. I like the alternate version of this "2 CV" car.

Thank you once again very much fpr the the kind comments. It is like Faefrost said, these loud wind machines are able to fill huge indoor systems with a massive amount of fresh air in a very fast way. They are some german or switzerland fire departments (of bigger cities) that have an such a kind of truck in their portfolio. Here is a german apparatus website with this tag. This should be one of the companies that build those equipment in any size.

Lightningtiger asked me in one of my last threads, which car would be next. So, here's the answer: A light truck with a huge fan to vent smoke-filled tunnel systems. A few fire departments here in germany (e.g. Frankfurt/Main or Munic) have a truck like this in their fleet. Hope you like it. Thank for watching. Best regards, Farnheim

Thank you for the kind comments. @ L@go: You're right. The word "Army" would match most. Well, it was also the first time for me to see the whole bunch of cars all together. My table was... that red: And it was a pleasure for me to meet you there.

Thank you all a lot for the great response. I really appreciate it. @ lightningtiger: The next one will be a truck with a huge fan. Stay tuned. @ -zenn: This style of tires is the style I use on all of my fire fighting vehicles. I love those old tires for a little more retro touch. Well, the doors normally open to the top (like the middle cabinet). But those small "cupboards" don't. Well, I didn't mind until now... I'll give it try. @ Legotom: I just have to take some more photos of the crane. In the meanwhile, that could help a bit:

Hi all, Time for a change. I finished another fire apparatus a while back that replaces another old truck from 2009. The new one is inspired by a truck that is now on duty at the Frankfurt/Main Fire Department. Farnheim also has a huge international sea port and some numerous inshore waters, which make an apparatus like this necessary. I guess the functions of this rescue truck are clear... For a little comparison. Here are some small photos how the old version looked like: Hope you like it. Can't wait for your critics and comments. Bricking Greetings, Farnheim

Hello everybody. It's been quite a while since I have posted my recent MOC. It's a busy period for me at the moment. So I haven't got that time to browse this forum as much as I want to. But I am still in business and I built a few new mocs during the past. Especially fire apparatus. And some of them I wanted to show to you today. My emergency vehicles needed a visual update so badly. Packed with fresh ideas from the Cologne "Fanwelt" past November and several new parts I started to rebuilt most of these vehicles. So I took the chance to gave them a new and highly noticable paint scheme as well. The first one is a car for the paramedic which will be deployed with another ambulance in a so called "rendevous system", which is very popular and an effective possibility for an emergency rescue (not only) in germany. The second car is the ambulance used for that "rendevous systrem" mentioned above. The third vehicele is an emergency car driven by the executive paramedic. He manages all the actions for the rescuers at huge incident sites. The whole new rescue-fleet Last but not least, here are, for a little comparison, some pics of old cars I built back in 2009. They are gone for good. Sorry, for the bad photos. So, this is it for today. I know, it's a bunch of photos. I hope you have some fun watching this. Critics and comments very welcome. Best regards, Farnheim

Awesome petrol station. It's great to see how you've started building and how it just turned out lately. I love the interieur with the different areas (cashier, snackbar, table). Btw, the detail of this surveillance camera underneath the roof is sweet! Cool idea! Amazing to see, that this Moc isn't done now. This scene's getting bigger and bigger. Will it be part of your "New Mannum"-project? Keep up the great work, Farnheim

Wow, this thing is really huge. Very impressive. With these great ground vehicles it looks like an official set. Keep it up!

V-LF-14A to The next part of this little series will bring you the fire service equipment of the "Farnheim International Airport". The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has given standards for every civil aerodromes and hat put them into different fire fighting categories based on the maximum size of an airplane the airport can handle. And that are all jets and aircrafts up to a hull length of 76 and a hull diameter of 8 meters. Therefore the "Farnheim International Airport" is a category 9 airport of ICAO-standards, which means, it has the second highest level of safety requirements. And for this reason the airport fire department has a huge, moderm and very effective range of different cars and trucks on duty. 2 trucks of the mobile command center can be parked back to back as one unit. Rapid intervention vehicle based on a cab design of Pierre Normandin. Standard engine for incidents within the structured areas (e.g. terminals, parking lots). Actual smaller airport crash tender. "The big one" - the airport FD owns 4 trucks. 2 of them are equipped with this new HRET (High reach and extendable turret) with a spray snozzle at its end. Older crash tender (reserve) that carries 7.500 l of water and 1.200 l of AFFF foam. The new ladder features a lowered cab. Rescue stair vehicle. Truck for technical assistence. The logistics group can count on such a "Sprinter". Heavy rescue truck for building up and run a triage. "Unimog"-look-alike MPV with a snow plow that can also pull a trolley for towing away broken down airplanes. Annother swap body truck and the container that carries the trolley. The next and final round will bring you the equiment of the fire brigade of a petrochemical complex. Farnheim

V-LF-11E to Part two is focused on the big cars of the Farnheim Fire Department. All different tankers, ladders and special operation cars and trucks are put together here. Just a foodprint: all MOCS are fully equipped with appropiate stuff (for improved playability ). This engine marks the "bread-and-butter" truck of the FFD and is the backbone of all fire operations and smaller technical assistences. The FFD owns 12 of this. The typical tanker is equipped with 4,800 liters of water and 500 liters of Class A foam. To have a chance to beat the big (petrochemical) fires the FFD has two of this foam tankers with 6,000 Liters of AFFF foam on board. One of the old gen turntable ladders. The next generation of aerial rescue trucks. Special operations truck stuffed with respiratory equipment. Vacuum truck for big incidents with different sorts of fluids. Water rescue truck for assistences on all different kinds of water space (e.g. rivers, basins, ponds, lakes)... ... and the boat trailer. A crane for bigger technical incidents (e.g. accidents with trains, busses or trucks) Heavy duty swap body vehicle. Container with 2,000 m hoses and wate-bearing equipment. Container with CO2-extinguishing device. Trailer with a combined foam and water cannon. Generator trailer pulled by the MPV. Two buses are also on duty: one for the incident commando and one as a big ambulance. Wow, that's pretty much red... The third part will bring you the vehicles of the intern'l airport fire dept. and a petrochechimal industry complex. So, that's all for now... Farnheim

Once again thank you guys very much. Yeah, like EROL said, I did quite a few fire fighting vehicles in the past. I'm gonna post them in a few different threads. Here is the first one, lightningtiger. Are you ready? Here we go...
