Well actually, when you look at Scorpio, it looks like the skellie has been flipped onto its back, had it's head rotated and ribs extended, and that funky mechanism attached to what were its knees. Just a theory! And yes, I shall be picking them all up too, even though I really don't like Scorpio. Gotta get me all them bones, skulls 'n' shtuff! Also, MoCr <3

At least we get the cuffs in silver, eh? Don't believe we have! -

I've had dreams of pieces which are basically bricks, but with a CCBS shell socket underneath instead of stud inlets.

Well, yeah, sort of. Although that design uses a single ball, not the "ball beam". I'll take better pics of that foot tonight, maybe.

Y'know, I've been thinking about feet lately. CCBS feet, I mean. What if we had something like the small Protector foot... But instead of the clawed area, we had something like the 3M beam with the ball in the center? Y'know, so the toe area could be plated up with an armour shell or addon? 3M and 4M shells would work great for this, I think.

I love how the chest prints represent really mechanical looking details - especially happy to see gears, as something about that makes them seem clockwork almost. But really, it does just drive home that these are battered up, decayed mechanoids, and I really dig that.

The MoF is indeed the real star of the show here, and my gosh, it's definitely worth getting the Hero Pack for. It really does look stunning. The map comes in at a close second for me, as the style of the illustration is gorgeously traditional - almost like something from one of Tolkein's novels. That, and it's surprisingly big! I'm surprised they managed to fit it into that little baggie. Oh, and of course, it's always good to get an extra Skull Spider! Other than that, the rest didn't appeal too greatly to me. Those stickers are quite garish if I'm honest, but I'm sure kids'll enjoy sticking them on their pencil case, 3DS or whathaveyou. The comic book is a nice little bonus, and reminds me of those which we got with the Rahkshi sets back in '03, but it's hardly anything particularly ground-breaking. So all in all, I think this is definitely something big Bionicle fans should try to get their hands on, but I wouldn't dish out too much wonga for it. If you miss the promo period, I'd recommend you wait for the map and/or the mask to appear on Bricklink or eBay, as those are the things that are really nice to have. If I were to have changed anything about the Hero Pack, I'd have ditched the stickers, and recoloured the Skull Spider to either red or purple. If there was enough room left in the budget, it'd be neat to include a head for the mask to be worn on, so that kids could use the mask on a new character without disassembling their Toa and Protectors.

Star Wars Constraction 2015 Discussion

Oh man. Oh man. I've never been interested in SW sets at all.. But that Vader is magnificent! He looks very solid and cohesive, and his silhouette is remarkably accurate to that of the real thing. As for Luke, I really like the head, and the weapons look fantastic... But that torso shell is awful. It's so... rounded, while also being corrugated. And what's with the exposed hip axles? Otherwise though, his arms and legs look fine... And he has a flesh tone hand! In terms of parts, I'm very happy to see that TLG haven't ditched the HF shoulder cups - hoping to see more of those in Bionicle! And, that new leg armour... That's sublime. I hope we get it in other colours, as that's gonna come in very handy. We're still getting more characters, yes? -
See, this is a problem I've notice across the board with the Toa's masks. It's really strange.

Hi guys, sorry about not keeping this updated. Been super busy with work and stuff, so I haven't really been able to do anything with this. I'll have a look and see if I can write anything new soon.- 1 reply

Okoto Online Game [Chapter I Released]

I'm really not keen on how the pixel sizes vary so much on the sprites. Honestly, I don't really think it's worth going with the pixellated style if the pixels are all gonna be in different sizes. It's awkward. -
That should stop people saying "ERMAGERD MESK OF URLTEMATE PEWUR!!". At least, I hope so.

This is a reboot. Everything is being rewritten. Like I said, the composition of the characters has yet to be confirmed, and may not be confirmed due to the more simplified nature of Gen2. For all we know now, the whole biomechanical thing may be a thing of the past. Again, don't get jumping to conclusions based on minimal information.

Not necessarily. The fact that there's younger generations doesn't necessarily imply that Protectors make babies (I hate that I have to type that). It could just mean that the original Protectors were older bots, who, when newer bots were introduced to the island, took on a "Sensei" kind of role with newer 'bots. Who knows. And if there is reproduction, why does it necessarily have to be biological? I mean, look what's been revealed about Gen1, with the Matoran being built by Turaga using machinery. Even there, the Matoran were biomechanical (?), but they were manufactured. But again, nothing has been confirmed yet, and might not even ever be confirmed. I wouldn't get jumping to conclusions just yet, as you may just find yourself disappointed.

Nothing of the sort has yet been confirmed. We don't know what the composure of the Gen2 characters is yet, as it simply has not been stated. As far as is presented, we have these big, shiny metallic dudes and dudettes, running around doing stuff. I want you to go look at one of the Toa and Protectors, and tell me again how something with segmented armour plating, hydraulic rams, glowing eyes and gears could be remotely organic. Go on. This right here. Do people really expect mechanical/mostly mechanical beings to give birth or something? To me, that's creepier than the concept of them building each-other.

Some would argue that humanoid CCBS MOCs are essentially "Toa-mods", which is honestly rather silly. But anyway, we're definitely in the same boat. With what the CCBS has provided in only 4/5 years, I'm able to build so much more that I've wanted to than the 11 years previous to it. It's a fabulous System, and it's made things a lot more enjoyable. Exactly. I think a lot of people who criticise the CCBS just have their Nostalgia Goggles™ on and tightened to the last notch on the strap. You don't have to have 1,000,001 Technic pieces in a MOC's structure to make it look good. Just have fun!
