  1. Congrats Erynlasqalen! I agree with Robuko about winning this challenge. After challenge 2 and some of the free build scoring we were 100 points behind Avalonia. Now it is down to just 61 points behind. Our participation as a Guild was very strong during Challenge 3, and if we can repeat that strong showing in Challenge 4 we can really charge ahead. I knew I picked the right guild to join!
  2. Great build Z, thanks for representing Kaliphlin for us. I'm probably the closest to Brickworld being in Southwest Michigan, yet I can't make it due to work. Glad you could pick up the slack!
  3. Nice build again! I really wish I could be there to see it in person....maybe next year.
  4. That looks great! I have been thinking that Nannan's Pillar of Flesh is very inspiring as well, but the other build I had never seen. Wow, some good stuff. Hopefully you find the economic resources to build yours as well!
  5. Great builds and story SoT! I saw it as the Prelude to Challenge 4 here, then on MOCpages as the story of Asparuh. Now, here it is in proper form as well! I love all the incarnations of it! Plus, the 'easter eggs' have been fun to notice while reading on MOCpages.
  6. I agree with NM....although I would be worried that his Sandster would try to hug the other elementals to death!
  7. I was torn between fire or water bending for Korra. Since she can't bend air yet, that would leave Tenzin....and I could not get a fig to look enough like him. But, Pro-Bending was my other thought for a build and I may yet do that!
  8. I believe that they are from the Crownie's of the Fantasy Era line. They just have green arms put on in place of the blue they come with.
  9. Just a fun build based on the series The Legend of Korra on Nickelodeon. For anyone not familiar with it, it is the sequel to Avatar:The Last Air Bender. I've got Korra and a Metal Bender(city cop), also 2 Chi Blockers and Iman's Lieutenant in this MOC. C&C are always welcome! I put this in Sci-Fi, because I thought it might be the best fit for a topic....tough call though!
  10. Where in Michigan are you? Just curious....I am not in Canada to ship to you, I am in Michigan as well. It seems that all of the AFOL's in Michigan are on the East Side of the state, and I am the lone West Sider.....Well, me and Tupac I guess.
  11. I am going to say that the reunification of the crystals awoke a deep and ancient evil in Historica. Challenge 4 will be us defending the realm against some sort of beasts/monsters from the netherworld. We will be able to depict differing guilds working together to protect the realm. Just a guess though....
  12. In these dark times in Historica, we have seen far too much aggression between the guilds. This does not bode well for the future of Historica. While these times would normally be profitable for The Nahtämatu's services(as a mercenary band), we have decided that our first priority does not lie where the money does(a first for us). Instead, our first priority is to help locate Lord Flagg and ensure his safety(last seen on his pleasure boat). After that, we will offer sanction and protection for any of the lords of Kaliphlin. We are concerned about the growing tension between Kaliphlin and Avalonia, a stong trade partner of ours. It is our hope that as Lord Flagg is located and our homeland is secured, that we can re-establish relations with our Avalonian partners. There are far darker things lurking on the horizon, and we must be prepared to stand together or fall separately.
  13. I'm jealous on the Orc Forges! I have Helm's Deep, but still saving my pennies for Orc Forge and Uruk-Hai Army sets. Should be able to order them mid-June. The armor in Orc Forge with the White Hand printing is what I really want now!
  14. Looks fantastic! The lighting is great, it definitely feels like late summer sun at night. Not that I'm picking sides, but I can't wait to hear what is happening so we in Kaliphlin can have some action!
  15. Weren't we supposed to have some sort of prelude announcement yesterday?
  16. That helmet looks great painted like that!
  17. A bold strike from the Dorw! But, not unexpected. This truly will shake the foundations of Historica to its core. As I was reading this, when Yvonnel thanked all of the leaders I thought, "this is not drow behavior". But, then the assasins came out, and I thought "Brilliant!". BTW...my favorite minifig is the giant Plankton. He will crush Bikini Bottom, while the rest head for Historica
  18. My Avalonian brothers, let me first say that we wish you well in your endeavors in the Drow realms. We respect the life of all citizens of Historica, and wish you all the best. We have chosen not to partake in open warfare with the Drow at this time. However, the High King rules supreme and if the threat reaches him, or he orders it we will be ready to act. In the meantime, might I suggest that send some emissaries to Kaliphlin to stockpile some of the great weapons that we make! Nowhere else can you find such a fine array weaponry and metal-smithing, not to mention all of the Teknology that we have employed....including 'Boom Powder'. We look forward to doing business with you.
  19. Well...the review has me torn. I just got Helm's Deep yesterday and put it together tonight(it's awesome!). I nearly have enough saved for the next venture, and I was undecided as to whether I should by Moria, or Uruk and Orc Forge at once. Moria has some great figs, but I think I might just go with Uruk and Orc Forge. All of the Uruks and Orcs will be nice to have, plus Eomer looks fantastic. And...my Helm's Deep really needs this extension!
  20. I just got Helm's Deep in the mail from Target.com yesterday. I used their credit card, so I got free shipping and 5% off. Turned out to be about $130 dead on after Uncle Sam took his share. I was pretty happy with that deal, plus it shipped quick. I ordered Friday night at about Midnight and it showed up on Wednesday with free shipping. Of course, the next day after ordering I went in to Target and paid the bill, so I wouldn't have nay interest charges.....the only way to do it is to not let them make extra money off of me!
  21. I don't live very close to a Lego Store(about 3 hours away), but I end up out there once a month for work, so I always stop in! I have not come across these in the PAB wall as of yet though, because I would certainly stock up if I could. 0.18 was the cheapest I found on Bricklink as well, and I did order about 50 of them last winter. Expensive....yes, worth it....hard to tell, but I really needed the foliage as well. Drow aren't the only ones who look good in green leaves
  22. <off topic> I just finished putting together Helm's Deep.....what a great set! The piece assortment is fantastic, and the figs are top notch! I am glad I waited and ordered from Target.com though, because the Toys R Us price was 159 vs. 129 at Target!
  23. I would say post the free build. This hasn't been announced as a challenge yet, and there is typically plenty of time for the challenges. So I say go for two great battle MOCs!
  24. I believe you may be on to something NiceMarmot! Challenge 4 could be interesting indeed...perhaps the drow are just making sure that the crystals did reach the High King safely. But I doubt it, must've been some money to be made by stealing them!
  25. My condolences Lord deGothia....Quinn was a fine representative of Avalonia, and we in the Nahtamätu had always hoped she would one day join our secretive band. Alas, the Gods of Historica had other plans.
